        음식을 통한 트라우마 치유 –영화 「김씨표류기」에서 삶의 희망이 된 짜장면–

        The purpose of this study is to analyze how both Mr. Kim and Miss Kim who are plunged into despair due to trauma formed in each growth period of them overcome their trauma, in 「Castaway On The Moon」(2009), a film directed by Lee Haejun. It initially examined why Mr. Kim was not able to pay back loan rate larger than the capital and fell into a credit delinquent and then cannot but select suicide and why Miss Kim cannot help choosing the hikicomori lifestyle separated from the exterior world by locking her room door. The findings showed that the reasons were their trauma formed in the growth period. Then, it investigated how food contributes to Mr. Kim’s recovery from his trauma. The food affecting Mr. Kim’s overcome of his trauma includes salvia, mushroom, fishes and birds, which can be acquired from the nature, and Jajangmyeon which he acquired by spontaneously engaging in farming. It could be found that he could recover his self-esteem and simultaneously overcome trauma, by directly cooking and eating Jajangmyeon. Different from Mr. Kim, Miss Kim did not try to overcome her trauma by seeking out food from the nature or directly cooking and eating Jajangmyeon through farming. Instead, she overcame her trauma by eating Jajangmyeon returned from him who rejected it, though she asked a delivery man to deliver it to him at Bamseom Island. This study found that such food contributes to the healing of emotional trauma formed in the growth period, beyond the fulfillment of human physiological needs in 「Castaway On the Moon」. It can thus verify that food may be a method for self-healing. 우남희, 2020, 음식을 통한 트라우마 치유, 어문연구, 187 : 243~269 본고는 이해준 감독의 영화 「김씨표류기」(2009)에서 성장기에 형성된 트라우마로 인해 절망에 빠진 두 김씨가 음식을 통해 자신의 트라우마를 어떻게 극복하는지를 분석하였다. 먼저 남자 김씨가 자살을 선택할 수밖에 없는 이유와 여자 김씨가 히키코모리의 삶을 선택할 수밖에 없는 이유를 분석했다. 그 결과 그들의 성장기에 형성된 트라우마에 의한 것임을 밝혔다. 다음으로 두 김씨가 트라우마를 극복하는 데 음식이 어떻게 기여하는지를 살폈다. 남자 김씨에게 음식은 삶에 대한 의지와 개척의 힘을 키워주었다. 특히 짜장면은 트라우마를 극복하고 자아존중감을 회복하는 데 기여했다. 반면에 여자 김씨는 그녀가 밤섬(栗島)으로 배달시켰으나 남자 김씨의 거부로 되돌아온 짜장면을 먹고 트라우마가 치유되었다. 이는 음식이 먹는 사람에게 향수를 불러일으켜 과거 경험했던 희망찬 순간을 환기시키는 기능을 수행했기 때문이다. 연구를 통해 본고는 영화 「김씨표류기」에서 음식이 단순히 인간의 생리적 욕구를 충족하는 것에서 머무르지 않고 성장기에 형성된 정신적인 트라우마를 치유하는 데 기여한다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이로써 본고는 음식이 자아치유의 한 방법이 될 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the lives of the children lived at the end of Chosun dynasty in Korea and Jungwhan Pang's view of the children who was a writer of children's literature and the leader of child-movement at that time. The lives of the children in Chosun Dynasty was miserable because the economy and the cultural environment of the country was terrible under the invasion by Japan for 36 years. In addition to that children had to obey and worship their parents and other grown-ups, because Chosun was a hierarchical society with strict Confucianism. The status of the children was very low and they were treated inappropriately by adults. Although adults despised and had given hard time to children, Chungwhan valued children as the future of the country and tried to enhance children's status and rights. He viewed children as independent human beings with much potential, so adults shouldn't look down upon the children but have to respect them and use descent languages to them. His view toward the children was totally opposite to that of his age, but he tried every efforts to make the children's lives better: writing children's stories, poems, and translating foreign stories for children, lectures for parents, establ ishing the Day of the Children, and pub I ishing children's journals.

      • 한국 조기교육의 과거와 현재

        The present study investigates the history and the problems of the overheated early education in Korea. The early education in Korea has been formulated since 1970`s when people could afford to spend extra money for their children`s private education with rapid economic development in Korea. Many young parents sent their children to private institutes for early education based on the folk belief, "the earlier, the better" or "the more, the better". The early education has been accelerated and overheated by the market without any base of educational philosophy or educational considerations from the government or educators. Over the 20 years, the number of children who got the early education increased dramatically. The variety of the educational programs increased a lot and the number of programs which each children took was also increased. The overheated early education resulted in economic crisis for the families and psychopathological symptoms for some children who got too much and too early education. On the contrary, the early education for handicapped children was neglected in Korea. The present study concludes that the early education in Korea went so far to reach to the level of child abuse. Thus, we suggest interventions of the government and the educators to prohibit the false and exaggerated advertisement of private institutes and the programs. In addition, we suggest the systematic parental educations for children`s age appropriated education.

      • 정통교재 소학의 내용과 정서지능

        This study investigates the contents of Sohak, which was one of the most popular textbooks for young children in Chosun Dynasty of Korea. Although the concept of 'Emotional Intelligence Quotient' was not exist at that time, they taught the young children self control and the importance of the relations between people which looked similar with emotional intelligences of these days. Thus, the contents of Sohak is analyzed in terms of Salovey and Mayer's four abilities of emotional quotients: 1) The Perception, Appraisal, and Expression of Emotion, 2) Emotion's Facilitation of Thinking 3) Understanding and Analyzing Emotions; Employing Emotional Knowledge 4) Regulation of Emotion to Promote Emotional and Intellectual Growth. The analysis showed that Sohak valued perceiving, appraising, and expressing emotions. It also valued the regulation of emotion to promote Emotional and Intellectual Growth. However, they put less value in teaching of understanding and analyzing emotions.

      • 유아의 창의성과 조기 영어교육의 관계 분석

        This study investigated the relations between preschool children's experiences of English learning and their intelligence and creativity. The subjects were ten preschool children and their mothers. Five children were from two English Institutes where kindergarten curricula were taught in English, whereas five children were from a regular kindergarten in Seoul. K-WPPSI(Korean-Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence) and TTCI(Torrancc Test of Creative Thinking) were used to examine the children's intelligence and creativity. Interviews with the mothers were provided to find out children's experiences of English education. The results as follow: The difference between the two groups in IQ scores was trivial, whereas the difference in TTCT scores was significant with 30.2 points. The children who spent more time in learning English got lower scores in creativity test.

        Young Children's Learning of English as a Foreign Language in Korean Context : Is Earlier Better?

        This study compared ten four-year old children to thirteen seven-year old children in their English ability in order to determine whether younger children perform better than older children in learning English as a foreign language. The children in this study have attended eight sessions of an English program for four weeks and have taken two tests before and after the program. The results based on statistical and qualitative analyses show that the younger learners failed to show better performance in learning than the older learners, which is in contrast of common knowledge. As a result, what is the best and most efficient way to learn English is still open to debate. In addition, the limitations of this study are discussed.

      • 우리나라의 유아대상 조기교육 확산의 사회적 심리적 요인

        This study investigates the researches on early childhood education to figure out social and psychological reasons for overheated education in Korea. The researches done since 1990 were analyzed and five social reasons and four psychological reasons were articulated to explain the overheated education. Five social reasons were 1) rapid economic growth, 2) social environment of academic clique, 3)desire for promotion of social classes, 4) living in the apartment houses, 5)commercialism for education. Four psychological reasons were; 1)parental enthusiasm for children's education 2)mass alignment, 3)face saving, 4)hurriedness.

        니체와 불교의 치유적 사유로 본 김일엽의 시

        This study analyzed Kim Il-yeop’s (1896-1971) poetry using the perspective of the healing thoughts of Nietzsche and Buddhism. It is an attempt to examine the process in which the poet overcomes her inner pained heals her self by investigating the healing mechanism in the thought of Nietzsche and Buddhism, as expressed in her poetry. Kim Il-yeop is a reputed early modern female writer in Korean literary history, as well as a religionist, she insisted on the reform of women’s consciousness, advocating for a modern women’s movement by starting the publication of women’s magazine New Woman in February 1920. Subsequently, she became a Buddhist monk and died as a Zen monk. Her life is often compared to a lotus, blooming in hardship and pain, from her childhood when she experienced her mother’s death and her brothers’ successive deaths in her youth filled with love and partings to repeated marriages and divorces in the prime of her life. Thus, the thoughts guiding Kim Il-yeop’s life, such as subjectivity, positive worldview, love of fate (Amor Fati), self- salvation, and the absence of worldly desires, are present in the same context as the healing thoughts of Nietzsche and Buddhism, and are analyzed in this study. Although Kim Il-yeop witnessed the deaths of her mother, brothers, father and stepsister during her childhood and experienced hardships later in life, she accepted the moments of pains as they were and expressed them through poetry, a language of her own. This is connected to Nietzsche’s healing thought, that is, search for oneself through the love of fate. Kim Il-yeop who obtained the identity of the independent self, got over hardship by writing poetry using healing language based on the fact that nature and the universe operate according to the principle of creation. Through her experience of hardship, the poet achieves the absence of the worldly desires through the unity of the body and the mind and overcomes her self through the purification of the mind to achieve the introspection of freedom from all thoughts and ideas, turning to Buddhism and continuing asceticism. 본고는 김일엽(1896~1971)의 시를 니체와 불교의 치유적 사유로 분석하였다. 이는 김일엽의 시에 발현된 니체와 불교의 치유적 사유의 기제를 고찰함으로써 작가가 내면의 아픔을 극복하고 치유로 발전해 나가는 과정을 천착하고자 하는 시도이다. 김일엽은 한국 문학사에서 근대 초기 여류문학가이자 종교가로 정평이 난 인물로 1920년 2월에 『신여자』라는 여성잡지를 창간하여 근대여성 운동을 제창해 여성의 의식을 개혁해야 한다고 주장한다. 이후 김일엽은 출가하여 선승으로 생을 마감한다. 이러한 김일엽의 삶은 모친과 동생들의 잇따른 죽음을 체험한 유년기부터 청년기 사랑과 이별 그리고 결혼과 이혼이 반복되는 중년에 이르기까지 고난과 아픔으로 점철된 가운데 피어난 연꽃에 비유된다. 이에 본고는 김일엽의 삶을 관통하고 있는 주체성, 긍정적 세계관, 운명애와 자기 구원, 무심 등의 사유가 니체와 불교의 치유적 사유와 맥락이 닿아 있어 이를 근거로 김일엽의 시를 분석하였다. 그 결과 김일엽은 유년기와 성장기에 겪은 어머니와 동생들 그리고 아버지와 이복 여동생의 죽음을 목격하고 자신의 삶에 고난을 겪게 된다. 그러나 김일엽은 그 고통의 순간들을 그대로 수용하고 그것을 자신만의 언어인 시로 표현하였다. 이는 니체의 치유적 사유인 운명애를 통한 자기 찾기와 연결된다. 주체적인 자아의 정체성을 획득한 김일엽은 자연과 우주가 하나의 생성원리에 의해 유동한다는 것을 바탕으로 치유적 언어 문법을 통한 시쓰기로 자신의 고난을 극복하였다. 청년기와 장년기에 겪은 고난의 시간은 불교에 귀의하여 수행을 거듭하면서 몸과 마음의 합일을 통한 무심과 마음의 정화와 자기 극복을 이룩해 무상무념의 자기 성찰을 이루고 있다.
