With the increasing demands for fast, effective, and reliable mold design in automotive casting product, the Computer Aided Engineering(CAE) plays an important role in reducing cost and development time of a product and achieving high quality products in a competitive market. Through the CAE application, the casting processes such as solidification and filling can be simulated for predicting the microstructure and shrinkage defects In the products. in this paper, the subject of study is reducing about the armrest frame of the interior part in the part of the automobile. Through the numerical simulations carried out using the Anycasting soft, casting conditions of displacement, stress and shinkage select through the response surface method to optimize. After design optimization, the displacement and stress was reduced by about 13%, 33% compared to the initial design of the Mg frame.

Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) have many attractive features for widespread applications for Generation system. Recently investigation for bipolar plate is focus on the Metallic bipolar plate. Solid Oxide Fuel Cell was operated to high temperature than other Fuel cell system, approximately at 800~1000C. Presently day was investigated reduced operation temperature at 600~800C, that is Intermediate temperature SOFC. Solid Oxide Fuel Cell has required of low cost and high-temperature corrosion resistance during the operation. In this case, apply to 304 stainless steels with different pre-surface treatment with no coating treatment on the surface, As-polished, As-Received and Sand Blast on the surface. And 304 was exposure to high temperature oxidation environment, in the box furnace at 800C, and review to oxidation behavior with each material during the different exposures time.(100hrs, 400hrs). Oxidation behavior was measured by SEM, EDS and XRD inspection.

Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFCs) was high temperature operating Fuel cell system. Normally, this system operating temperature is approximately at 800~ 1000C. Fuel cell's efficiency was related with operating temperature. Operating temperature is increased that fuel cell efficiency is increased. Generally, SOFC was used to Bipolar plate material that Ceramic material with doped on the surface. Because SOFC was exposed high temperature atmosphere, ceramic material has stratified properties at the high temperature. At recent times, SOFC investigated focus on reduced operating temperature, IT SOFC (operation temperature at 600~800C) and LT SOFC (operation temperature at 400~600C). The aim of this study, apply to 430 stainless steels with different surface pre-treatment 3types, As-polished, As-Received and Sand Blast on the surface and no thermal satisfied coating treatment on the surface. 430 materials was exposure in the box furnace, at 800C with high temperature oxidation environment. And it observed to oxidation behavior with different exposures time. Oxidation behavior was analysis by SEM, EDS and XRD inspection.

In this study, the express bus seat-frame components were substituted by the Mg alloy from the steel for the light weight. Mg alloy seat-frame was manufactured by the high pressure die-casting process. The designs of the existing steel alloy’s seat-frame were analyzed to check the safety requirements, and then were designed for a high pressure die-casting process with considering the fluidity of Mg alloy. The die-casting conditions were decided with the solidification and fluidity analysis, and die-casting mold was made with this results. Normally, the seat-frame was consisted of arm-rest and seat-back-frame. To confirm the Mg seat-frame safety, it was that mechanical property, vertical load, and forward moment, and endurance fatigue were simulated and tested. Finally, the light-weight Mg alloy seat-frame was made by high pressure die-casting with the seat-back-frame 35% weight-reduction and the arm-rest 30% weight-reduction compare to the steel alloy seat-frame.

Impinging spray characteristics of a commercialized slit nozzle injector used in a gasoline direct injection spark ignition (DISI) engine were investigated experimentally. The tested injector has a narrow slit at the tip of nozzle, and forms a thin fan-shaped spray. The experimental setup was composed of a high pressure fuel injection system, a impact flat plate with a temperature controller, a spray flow visualization system, and a Phase Doppler Particle Analyzer (PDPA) system. All the test runs were carried out at room temperature (Ta) and ambient atmospheric pressure (Pa). Normal-heptane was used as test fuel. The droplet mean diameter (SMD) was measured to investigate the atomization effects of impinging spray. The stagnation region, where the surrounding air outside of the free spray met with the developed wall-jet vortex produced at the spray tip, was observed with the mean velocity vector plots. SMDs in the stagnation region were distributed over 50 ㎛ relatively larger than that of the other regions of flow field in the iso-SMD contours.

Set the goal, physical properties and a parts lightweight of above on equal level with aim, Applied AM60B magnesium alloy, at the first among nation the lightweight magnesium cowl cross member with die casting method developed. Crash test results were excellent. Development result, Accomplished a lightweight 30% and reduced parts.
