수리온 MEP 개발사례 및 소형무장헬기 개발을 위한 제언

KUH(한국형 다목적 헬기)의 MEP(임무탑재장비) 개발을 소개하고 개발과정에서 발생했던 크고 작은 문제점들과 극복했던 사례들을 소개하고 개발이 진행될 LAH(경무장헬기) 개발에 참고사항을 제시하였다. 임무탑재장비 소개는 4개 계통별 및 전체를 통합한 내용을 주요성능별로 간략히 소개하였다. 교훈사례는 사업수행 중 긍정적으로 잘 대처했던 사항과 개발 및 시험과정 중 발생했던 문제점을 분석하고 극복했던 사례를 소개하였다. 발전방향은 LAH 개발에 참고가 될 사항을 종합적으로 제시하였다. The R&D project of KUH(Korean Utility Helicopter) MEP(Mission Equipment Package) was introduced and the case study for the problems occurred during R&D process was presented. Finally, the references for LAH were suggested. The introdutction of KUH MEP contains briefly 4 functional parts and the system integration. The case studies introduce the cases treated and overcome well the problems occurred during the period. The future directions were suggested for LAH R&D.

This paper describes a study of a helicopter database for the sizing stage of a preliminary design process. The database includes specifications and performance parameters for more than 150 conventional single rotor helicopters currently in market. Design parameters, including configuration and weight parameters, have been analyzed and trend curve equations(regression equations) are derived using the regression analysis method. Finally, the applicability of this research result was verified whether the method is reliable for being adopted as a useful design tool in the early stage of a helicopter design process.

The importance of avionics systems has increased to a significant level in modern aircraft development. Modern avionics system is a complex integrated system of state-of-art hardware and software technology. Specifying the avionics system architecture is the most important task throughout the avionics system design process. This paper reviews modern avionics system architectures and proposes an effective avionics architecture suitable for modern attack helicopters.

Visual information and aural warning of independent aircraft survivability equipment increase the pilot workload and limit the effective countermeasures. For increase the aircraft survivability, Integrated design of survivability display and aural warning need to consider pilot intuitions. If pilot aware the threat by intuition, evade or escape from the threat using the countermeasures equipment, it will increase the survivability. This paper describe the design and verification of for Utility Helicopter survivability equipment.

A number of navigation improvements are envisaged : Differential GPS - WAAS, LAAS, and Performance Based Navigation. The GPS receiver verifies the integrity(usability) of the signals received from the GPS constellation through a process called receiver autonomous integrity monitoring(RAIM) to determine if a satellite is providing corrupted information. This paper describe the RAIM function and Performance-Based Navigation implementation of Mission Equipment Package(MEP) for Korean Utility Helicopter.
