The rate of bacterial degradation of hydrocarbon was estimated for the measurment of the self-purification capacity of the aquatic ecosystem. Strain ND601P-2, selected as petroleum degrading bacteria from Nakdong River Estuary with high degradability of petroleum, transformed 42% of hexadecane to $CO_{2}$ or cell mateials under the conditions of $25^{\circ}C$, 0.03M NaCl, 167mg-$NH_{4}^+/1, 950 mg-PO_{4}^{3-}$/1, 50 mg-hexadecane/1. The mineralization rate was found to be significantly affected by the temperature and the $Q_{10}$ value was 2.2. Teh optimal salinity of the strain ND601P-2 was 2o/oo. The increased salinity caused the elevation of % respiration value and the prolonged lag phase.

한반도 최초의 전투영화, <초소를 지키는 사람들>(주인규, 1950) 국가건설기 프로파간다의 형식과 효과

이 논문은 최근 수집된 미상의 북한노획영상의 정체를 밝히고, 이 영화가 점하는 영화사적 위상을 검토하며, 국가서사로 호출된 전쟁 내러티브와 시각적 관행이 갖는 의미와 맥락을 논하려는 목적을 갖고 있다. 한국전쟁기에 미군이 노획한 북한 자료 중 일련의 필름들은, 성격과 장르를 달리하는 영상들이 뒤섞인 복잡한 모양새를 가지고 있어 정체를 파악하기가 쉽지 않지만, 다각도의 연구 과정을 통해 북한의 세 번째 극영화 <초소를 지키는 사람들>(주인규, 1950)임이 확인된다. 이 작품은 38선이라는 새로운 국경선 부근에서 남과 북이 벌인 분쟁을 담아내고 있으며, 영화사적으로는 한반도 최초의 전투영화로 규정될 수 있다. 북한의 ‘평화적 건설기’에 제작된 이 영화는 국가건설을 향한 상상과심리에 관련된 프로파간다의 성격을 밝힐 단서이자, 접경지역과 전쟁을 활용한 국가서사의 초기 양상을 보여주는 자료라는 점, 그리고 뉴스릴과 다큐멘터리와 같은다량의 기록영상을 극영화와 결합시킨 실험적 작품이라는 점에서 주목을 요한다. 전쟁의 재현은 우리와 구분되는 존재를 ‘타자화’하고 집단 소속감을 강화한다는 점에서 국가 정체성의 형성이라는 사안과 밀접히 관련된다. <초소를 지키는 사람들>은남한과 북한의 무력 충돌을 ‘선한 전쟁’으로 위치시키고 있으며, 체제의 정당성과 함께 전쟁의 대의에 대한 공감과 참여를 이끌어내려는 목적성을 영화 곳곳에서 분명히드러낸다. 그러나 이 영화가 공을 들여 재현한 사실적인 전투현장은, 해방과 건설의긍정적 계기로 전쟁을 의미화하려는 본래의 목적성과 조화롭게 결합되지 못할 여지를갖는다. 새로운 국가 건설을 향한 낙관성과 전쟁이라는 극한 상황은 때론 충돌하며, 감정적이고 신체적인 반응을 유발하는 전투 스펙터클은 적의 정체를 명료화하지 못할뿐더러 전쟁의 공포를 유발할 수 있다. 다큐멘터리와 뉴스릴을 비롯한 다양한 형식의기록영상들은 이러한 딜레마를 해결하기 위해 동원된 전략으로 이해된다. 그러나 기록영상의 활용이 ‘선한 전쟁’의 신화를 구성하겠다는 애초의 목적에 부합하는 의미효과를 내었는지는 불확실하며, 오히려 내러티브의 목적성을 방해하거나 내부적으로 분열시킬 잠재력을 안고 있다. 그런 의미에서 <초소를 지키는 사람들>은 극영화와 기록영화의 긴밀한 결합을 실험한 선구적 작품이자, 의도치 않게 한국전쟁이 갖는 복잡한의미를 노출시킨 실패한 프로파간다이며, 이후 국가서사의 새로운 구성과 전환을 촉발케 한 과도기적 작품으로 자리매김될 수 있다 This paper aims to reveal the identity of a series of unknown North Korean films collected recently, to examine its status in film history, and to discuss the meaning and context of war narratives and visual practices that have been invoked as national narratives. Among the North Korean films captured by the U.S. military during the Korean War, some unknown films have a complex appearance that makes it difficult to identify them, but through a multi-faceted research process, they are identified as North Korea’s third fiction film, The People Who Guard the Post (Ju Ju-gyu, 1950). In terms of film history, it can be defined as the first combat film on the Korean Peninsula that captures the conflict between South and North Korea over the new border line called the 38th parallel. This film, produced during North Korea’s ‘peaceful construction period’, is noteworthy as a clue to reveal the nature of propaganda related to nation-building imagination and psychology, as an early example of a national narrative utilizing the border region and war, and as an experimental work that combines a large amount of archival footage such as newsreels and documentaries with fiction. The representation of war is closely related to the issue of national identity formation in that it articulates the enemy that is distinct from us and ‘otherizes’ its existence. The People Who Guard the Post positions the armed conflict between South and North Korea as a ‘good war’, and its purpose to elicit empathy and support for the war’s cause along with the legitimacy of the regime is clearly revealed throughout the film. However, the realistic battle scenes that the film painstakingly recreates may not be harmoniously combined with the original purpose of signifying the war as a positive opportunity for liberation and construction. The optimism toward nation-building and the extreme situation of war sometimes clash, and battle spectacles that enduce emotional and physical responses have the potential to obscure the identity of the enemy and cause fear of war. Various forms of archival footage, including documentaries and newsreels, are understood as a strategy mobilized to resolve this dilemma. However, it is unclear whether the use of documentary footage produced a meaningful effect consistent with the original purpose of constructing the myth of the ‘good war’. Rather, it not only disrups the purposefulness of the narrative, but also has the potential to divide it internally. In this sense, The Men Who Guard the Post can be positioned as a pioneering work that experimented with the close combination of fiction and documentary, a failed propaganda that unintentionally exposed the complexity of the Korean War, and a transitional work that triggered a new construction and shift in national narrative.

A study on the nutritional status for school-children has been carried out 1,700 school- children of Song-do primary school located in Song-do beach, Busan, Korea, from November to-December, 1972. The evaluation of the nutritional status has been carried out through skin-fold thickness and hemoglobin. The summarized results were as follows. : 1. Skinfolds thickness 1) Subcellular skinfolds thickness . Among boys, that was 3.5mm in the age 6 and 5.4mm in the age 11 Among girls, that was 4.2mm in the age 6 and 7.6mm in the age 11. Girls were thicker than toys in the all age. 2) Upper-arm skinfolds thickness Among boys, that was 5.0mm in the age 6 and 6.8mm in the age 11. Among girls, that was 6.2mm in the age 6 and 8.7mm in the age 11. Girls were thicker than toys in the all age. 3)Abdominal skinfolds thickness. Among boys, that was 4.0mm in the age 6, and 6.4mm in the age 11. Among girls that was 4.0mm in the age 0, and 8.4mm in the age 11. Girls were thicker than boys in the all age. 2. Hemoglobin Proportional range of hemoglobin were observed as 12.2-12.8 gm/㎗.
