        Effects of Physicochemically Hydrolyzed Human Hairs on the Soil Microbial Community and Growth of the Hot Pepper Plant

        In this study, waste human hairs discarded from beauty shops and barber shops were collected and hydrolysed with a mixture of 0.5 N KOH and 0.05 N Ca(OH)_2by heating treatment for 20 min at 120℃. The pH of the hydrolysate was adjusted to 8 using phosphoric acid. The final solid content of the hair hydrolysate was adjusted to 100 g/L based on hair weight. Nitrogen, carbon, hydrogen,sulfur, and oxygen contents in the hydrolysate were 13.68,48.58, 6.46, 3.02, and 28.26%, respectively. When 0.5%(w/v) of forest soil was inoculated into 1% (v/v) of hair hydrolysate solution, 3% (w/v) of compost soil slurry, or a mixture of 1% (v/v) hair hydrolysate and 3% (w/v) of compost soil and incubated for 5 days at 25℃, bacterial growth measured on the basis of the viable cell numbers was approximately 3 times higher in the hair hydrolysate and compost soil mixture than in the others. Based on these results, 100x diluted hair hydrolysate was used as an organic fertilizer for field tests. Hot pepper plants were planted in commercially purchased compost soil to produce identical field conditions before the field was fertilized with the hair hydrolysate. The community of the soil-intrinsic bacteria was increased based on the viable cell count, and more diversified based on the TGGE band number of DNA extracted from soil, in the fertilized field relative to the non-fertilized field. The growth of the hot pepper plant was increased more based on length and weight in the fertilized field than in the non-fertilized field. Fertilization with hair hydrolysates appears to protect the hot pepper plant against wilt disease in farm fields contaminated with Ralstonia solanacearum.

        양육태도가 불일치하는 부모를 둔 초기성인 자녀의 진로결정 경험에 대한 질적 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the experience of early adulthood children having parents with inconsistent parenting attitudes, their impact on career decisions. For this reason, we distributed a parenting attitude test questionnaire, and collected data through one-on-one in depth interviews with eight adult men and women in their twenties who experienced a large difference in the parenting attitude of their mother and father and have experience in deciding their career paths. The data collected were analyzed by the consensual qualitative research(CQR) method. As a result of data analysis, there are 4 categories, 11 subcategories, and 47 core concepts across 2 areas, such as the experience of a child who grew up from a parent whose care attitude was inconsistent due to research problems, and the experience of deciding the course of a child who experienced inconsistent care. Based on the results of this study, children who had received inconsistent parenting had cognitive, emotional, and behavioral experiences, which were not only negative but also positive, and concerning the parenting attitude, they had a contradictory perception for each parent. It was also found that, despite parents' inconsistent rearing attitudes, if the patents had the same opinion on the child's career problem, or if one of the parents supported the child, the child could choose and decide on the desired career. When such results were discussed, the implications and limitations of these findings were suggested. 본 연구의 목적은 양육태도가 불일치하는 부모를 둔 초기성인 자녀의 경험과 그 경험이 진로결정에 미치는영향을 살펴보는 데 있었다. 이를 위해 본인이 지각한 부모 양육태도 검사 설문지를 배포하여 부와 모의 양육태도 점수차이가 크고 진로결정의 경험이 있는 20대 성인남녀 8명을 대상으로 일대일 심층면담을 통해자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 합의적 질적 연구(CQR) 방법으로 분석하였다. 자료 분석 결과, 연구문제에 따라 양육태도가 불일치하는 부모에게서 성장한 자녀의 경험, 불일치한 양육을 경험한 자녀의 진로결정경험과 같이 2개의 영역에 걸쳐 4개의 범주, 11개의 하위범주, 47개의 핵심개념으로 분류되었다. 연구 결과, 양육태도가 불일치하는 부모의 자녀들은 인지적·정서적·행동적 경험을 하였는데, 부정적인 경험뿐 아니라긍정적인 경험도 하였으며 부모의 양육태도에 대해서는 부모 각각에 대해 상반된 지각을 하고 있었다. 또한, 부모의 양육태도가 불일치하더라도 자녀의 진로문제에 있어서 부모의 의견이 같거나 부모 중 한쪽이라도자녀를 지지한다면 자녀가 원하는 진로를 선택하고 결정할 수 있었음을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 결과에 대한논의와 함께 시사점과 제한점을 제시하였다.

        Shh-/-; Gli3-/- 생쥐에서 뼈형태형성단백질 대항단백질의 발현

        Sonic hedgehog (Shh) has been known as an essential morphogen for the generation of motor neuron in developing spinal cord. However, motor neuron can be generated in Shh-/-; Gli3-/- or Gli2-/-; Gli3-/- mutants although these mutants don’t have Shh signaling. To find out the compensatory mechanism for the generation of motor neuron in Shh-/-; Gli3-/- mutant, we studied bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) antagonists including follistatin, flik and noggin, and retinoic acid signaling in this mutant. To study expressions of BMP antagonists, we performed in situ hybridization. To examine an activity of retinoic acid, we measured β-galactosidase activity in retinoic acid response element (RARE) transgenic mouse. The expression of follistatin was reduced at both levels of forelimb and hindlimb in Shh-/- mutant compared to wild type embryo. It was restored at the level of forelimb but reduced at the level of hindlimb in Shh-/-; Gli3-/- mutant compared to wild type. The expression of flik was similar with wild type embryo at both levels of forelimb and hindlimb in Shh-/- mutant. The expression of flik was similar with wild type embryo at the level of forelimb however reduced in hindlimb level in Shh-/-; Gli3-/- mutant. The expression of noggin, a BMP antagonist, was increased in Shh-/- mutant. Activity of retinoic acid signaling was not affected in Shh-/- or Shh-/-; Gli3-/- mutants. From these results, we conclude that retinoic acid but not follistatin and flik, may be involved in the generation of motor neuron in Shh-/-; Gli3-/- mutant. Sonic hedgehog (Shh)는 배쪽신경관 발생에 있어 형태형성인자(morphogen)로 작용하여 운동신경세포의 생성에 중추적인 역할을 한다. 하지만 Shh-/-; Gli3-/- 혹은 Gli2-/-; Gli3-/- 생쥐에서는 Shh 신호전달체계의 활성이 사라졌음에도 불구하고 배쪽신경관에서 운동신경세포가 생성된다. 본 연구에서는 Shh-/-; Gli3-/- 생쥐에서 운동신경세포의 회복에 관여하는 보상 신호전달체계를 찾기 위해서 뼈 형태형성단백질 (bone morphogenetic protein, BMP) 대항단백질의 발현과 레티노산 (retinoic acid) 신호전달체계의 활성을 조사하고자 하였다. 뼈형태형성단백질 대항단백질의 발현을 조사하기 위하여 제자리부합법을 시행하였고, 레티노산의 활성을 측정 하기 위해서 레티노산 반응 염기서열 형질전환생쥐에서 β-galactosidase의 활성도를 측정하였다. 뼈형태형성단백 질 대항단백질 중 follistatin의 발현은 Shh-/- 생쥐의 팔다리수준치에서 감소하였다. Follistatin의 발현은 Shh-/-; Gli3-/- 생쥐의 팔수준치에서는 상당한 회복을 보였으나, 다리수준치에서는 정상 생쥐에 비해서 감소하였다. Flik의 발현은 Shh-/- 생쥐의 팔다리수준치에서 정상 생쥐와 유사하였다. Flik의 발현은 Shh-/-; Gli3-/- 생쥐의 팔수준치에 서 정상 생쥐와 유사하였으나 다리수준치에서는 감소하였다. Noggin의 발현은 Shh-/-에서 정상 생쥐에 비해서 증 가하였다. 레티노산 신호전달체계의 활성은 Shh-/- 생쥐나 Shh-/-; Gli3-/- 생쥐에서 정상 생쥐와 유사하게 유지되었다. 이상의 결과들은 follistatin과 flik은 Shh-/-; Gli3-/- 생쥐에서 운동신경세포의 생성에 관여하지 않으나 레티노산 은 관여할 것이라는 사실을 시사한다.

        The artist means a person that performs artistic activities, namely, creates or expresses works of art as one’s occupation. This study centered on [philosophy of art], a book of Cho Yo-han and considered it on the base of preceding and literature researches, and as a result, artists have relevance to aesthetics and [Philosophy of Art], and it is analogized that the artistic activities of artists could become active based on this. Also, it is thought that the book would become an important basic material for artists in seeking the original nature of arts.

        발생 중 척수 전구세포영역 확립에 있어 Gli3의 역할

        Sonic hedgehog (Shh)는 발생 중 척수에서 형태발생인자(morphogen)로 작용한다. Shh의 농도에 따라 다른 종류의 전구세포영역(progenitor domain)과 그에 따른 신경세포가 생성된다. 그런데 Shh의 농도차이에 따라 어떻게 다른 종류의 신경세포가 생성되는지 아직 명확히 밝혀져 있지 않다. Shh의 농도차이가 어떻게 각 전구세포에서 해석되는지를 연구하기 위하여 Shh-/- 생쥐와 Shh-/-; Gli3-/- 생쥐에서 척수 전구세포영역 확립에 필수적인 homeoproteins의 발현을 제자리부합법으로 관찰하였다. Shh-/- 생쥐에서 class I homeoproteins (Pax6, Irx3, Dbx2, Dbx1)의 발현은 배쪽화하였고, class II homeoproteins (Nkx6.1, Nkx6.2, Olig2, Nkx2.2)의 발현은 사라졌다. Shh-/-; Gli3-/- 생쥐에서 class I homeoproteins의 발현은 부분적으로 회복되었으며, class II homeoproteins은 Nkx2.2를 제외하고 회복되었다. 이러한 결과는 Gli3가 class II homeoproteins의 발현을 조절할 수 있고, 이는 Shh의 농도경사가 신경관 전구세포에서 Gli 전사인자의 활성도 경사로 번역되어짐을 의미한다. University Sonic hedgehog (Shh) signaling has been shown to play instructive roles in developing spinal cord. Depending on the Shh concentration gradient, different progenitor domains and ventral neurons are induced. However, the way how the Shh gradient is translated into different progenitor domains, is not clear. To investigate the translation of the Shh gradient, we studied expressions of homeoproteins which are critical for establishment of progenitor domains, in the ventral neural tube of Shh-/- and Shh-/-;Gli3-/- mutants, using in situ hybridization. In Shh-/- mutant, the expressions of class II homeoproteins (Nkx6.1, Nkx6.2, Olig2, Nkx2.2) were totally repressed. The expressions of class I homeoproteins (Dbx1, Dbx2, Irx3, Pax6) were ventralized. In Shh-/-;Gli3-/-mutant, the expressions of class II homeoproteins except Nkx2.2 were restored. The expressions of class I homeoproteins were restored to its original position although their restoration is not complete. From above results, we conclude that Gli3 can regulate the expressions of class II homeoproteins, which suggests that the Shh gradient will be translated into Gli activity in the developing spinal cord.

        미용실과 두피관리실 종사자의 직업특성에 관한 연구

        The objective of this study is to provide the basic materials for employees of beauty industry to investigate the direction for development and implications in the aspect of labor force management through reconsideration on the recognition of professionalism. The two issues established for this thesis are: firstly it observes the general properties of respondents and secondly it analyzes the difference of job-related items by properties of hair shops and scalp care shops. The results are the following. First, seeing the distribution chart of age in general properties, twenties accounted for the most rate among the respondents. In the case of educational background, below highschool graduation and college graduation (including attenders) of two year course are the most still but it has been higher gradually. As for average salary per month, it showed the most rate at 1,000,000 - 1,500,000 won and Seoul area accounted for the most of their working places. Second, it analyzed the difference of job-related items by properties of hair shops and scalp care shops and got the result that there were significant difference by position of working place, career details, average number of holidays per month, average working hours per month, type of working place, standard on decision for promotion/wage, employee number of current work, working condition, institute for beauty treatment education, guide for mastering skills and location of work. It is anticipated to understand and the actual work status of employees in beauty industry by properties and improve such environment based on the result of this study and make them acquire firm position as professionals in the society.
