        CLIL을 적용한 학문 목적 한국어 듣기 수업의 효과 인식 검증 연구

        There is a growing desire among foreign students to study in Korea, with at least 110,000 non-Koreans already studying in the country. The number of foreign students choosing to participate in Korean undergraduate and graduate programs is increasing, and is accompanied by demands for Korean Language Listening classes. This research targeted registered foreign students in order to determine the effectiveness of CLIL-based Korean Language Listening programs for intermediate and advance level students and to, thus, identify gaps in current Korean language programs. In this study, Korean language skills were segregated into intermediate and advance levels, reflecting the individual student’s learning curves as, based on the CLIL’s 4Cs: content, communication, cognition, and culture. Of these, “communication” was centered upon learning content, learning techniques, and learning competency; this allows for the effective analyzing of, and differentiating between, intermediate and advanced groups. This research validates the CLIL method of learning, which has proven to be an effective tool for both intermediate and advance students (as shown in prior research). There is a significant increase in the awareness of the learning curves before and after applying the CLIL teaching method among both the intermediate and advanced groups; however, average scores across all areas were notably higher among the intermediate group. The most important Academic Listening skill is ‘notetaking’ which is recognized as a significant learning technique for both intermediate and advanced level learners. The ability to explain had (notably) increased, both among intermediate and advanced learners–this also had the effect of improving the academic objective concerning a student's speaking skills. Furthermore, in all areas–except in “test answering”–there was a clear rise in effective awareness among intermediate learners over the advanced groups. This study suggests that CLIL can be used as an approach to improve academic competency for both intermediate and advanced students in academic-purpose Korean classrooms where there is a gap in Korean language proficiency.

        한국어 발음 교육 방안에 대한 제언- 통역 목적의 외국인 유학생을 대상으로

        The purpose of this study is to examine the critical period of pronunciation in the second language acquisition and the possibility of acquiring the pronunciation of adult learners and to clarify the implications of this view on the teaching of Korean pronunciation. It has widely been believed that when it comes to learning a new language as a second language, “the younger the better” is the rule that applies. The claim that an authentic pronunciation of a second language is unattainable after a certain age has been supported by certain kinds of evidence. However, it is also true that there are, in actuality, some individuals who have acquired a native-like accent even after the so-called “critical period.” In this paper, I will discuss the probability of obtaining native-like phonological performance by reviewing the existing empirical and theoretical literature on Second Language Acquisition, especially that which focuses on the Critical Period Hypothesis. In addition, I will consider the viability of direct phonological instruction as a subject in Korean Pronunciation Education, based on the information and insights gained through this review of key studies in the field.

        강의 듣기 능력 향상을 위한 수업 모형과 활동 연구

        The purpose of this study is to propose a effective listening Instructional Model and class activities to improve the Academic listening ability of foreign undergraduate students to actively carry out academic activities in university. First, in Chapter 2, we examined the characteristics of listening to lectures and the subject core competence needed in University education, and considered the specificity of Academic listening lessons, cultivating academic purpose capacity, and learner's self-directness as a core competency based academic listening instruction model. In Section 3, we propose a instructional model for listening to lectures based on core competency, and in Chapter 4, we present examples of class activities needed to develop these competencies. 이 연구는 외국인 학부생이 대학에서 이루어지는 학업 활동을 능동적으로 수행할 수 있는 강의 듣기 능력 향상을 위한 수업 모형과 수업 활동을 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 먼저 2장에서는 강의 듣기의 특징과 대학 교육에서 필요한 범교과적인 역량과 교과 역량을 검토하여 역량 기반 강의 듣기 수업 모형의 원리로서 강의 듣기의 특수성 고려, 강의 듣기 역량 함양, 학습자의 자기주도성을 추출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 3장에서는 역량 기반 강의 듣기 수업 모형을 제안하였으며, 4장에서는 이들 역량을 키우기 위해 필요한 수업 활동의 예를 단계별로 제시하였다.

This paper aims is to research one of the effective pronunciation teaching methods based on drama techniques designed by Wessles and Laroy for unnatural pronunciations. There are many teaching methods such as are relaxation & posture, breathing, voice exercises, the lip exercises, chanting, tongue-twister etc. and each are reformed to fit the characteristics of the Korean language. As for pauses and accents, mistakes which can occur while practicing speech have been exa! mines and the precautions were arranged and sorted out. The main reaso n for connecting pronunciation teaching methods and drama techniques is to increase the student’s understanding in pronunciation and methods to imitate sounds in order to be able to speak Korean fluently. Also, it is considered to be a very natural way to learn all the suprasegmental elements of the Korean language. It is expected to find that the process of practicing pronunciations is exciting and productive through newly developed drama techniques, which impose continuously and repetitively practice.         일본 내 한국어교육의 질적 발전 연구-한국어교원 자격 취득을 중심으로-

        The purpose of this paper is to examine the qualification system of Korean language teachers to improve Korean language education in Japan qualitatively and to suggest the direction to the teachers in the ways to strengthen Japan’s uniqueness and localization. Korean language teacher qualification system is driving both quantitative and qualitative development of Korean language education, and it is positioned as a qualification to secure the professionalism of Korean language teachers in Japan and around the world. Korean language education in Japan requires both quantitative and qualitative development and requires localization based on Japan’s uniqueness. To improve the quality of Korean language education, above all, it is necessary to focus on strengthening Korean teachers’ competency. Accordingly, this study focused on the Korean teacher qualification system and analyzed various data to derive the necessity of obtaining Korean teacher qualifications at Japanese universities. Also, based on this, the development direction for preliminary teachers residing in Japan to acquire qualifications for Korean language teachers, that is, measures to increase field expertise in Japan, methods to strengthen localization of educational contents, and approaches to humanize existing Korean teachers are presented. In the future, we hope that prospective teachers residing abroad, including in Japan, will be able to provide prototypes of educational contents and methods for obtaining Korean language teacher qualifications. 본 논문은 일본에서의 한국어교육을 질적으로 발전시키기 위하여 한국어교원 자격제도를 살펴보고, 일본의 특수성과 현지화를 강화한 한국어교원 자격 취득의 발전방향을 제시하는 데 그 목적이 있다. 한국어교원 자격제도는 한국어교육의 양적, 질적 발전을 견인하고 있으며 일본은 물론 전 세계적으로 한국어교원의 전문성을 담보하는 자격으로 자리하고 있다. 일본에서의 한국어교육은 양적 발전과 더불어 질적 발전이 요구되고 있으며 일본의 특수성에 입각한 현지화가 필요하다. 한국어교육의 질을 높이기 위해서는 무엇보다 한국어 교사 역량 강화에 주목할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구는 한국어교원 자격제도에 주목하여 다양한 자료를 분석하여 일본 대학에서의 한국어교원 자격 취득의 필요성을 도출하였다. 그리고 이를 바탕으로 일본에 거주하는 예비 교원의 한국어교원 자격 취득에 대한 발전방향 즉, 일본에서의 현장 전문성을 높이기 위한 방안, 교육 내용의 현지화 강화 방안, 기존 한국어 교사의 인적 자원화 방안을 제시하였다. 향후 일본을 위시하여 국외에 거주하는 예비 교원들이 한국어교원 자격을 취득하는 데 있어 교육 내용과 방법에 대한 프로토타입을 제공할 수 있기를 기대한다.
