체육전공 대학생의 특수체육 프로그램 봉사활동 경험에 대한 의미 탐색

The purpose of this research was to closely evaluate the effect of the adapted physical activity volunteer program on the physical education (PE) undergraduate student participants’ perceived value of physical activity for people with disabilities, attitudes, and teaching strategies. Research participants were five PE undergraduates of ‘A’ university with experience in integrated education at their middle school or high school. These students participated in the adapted physical activity program of ‘A’ university as volunteers for 32 weeks. This research collected the participants’ weekly reviews of the volunteer activity, the researcher’s observation journal, and data from intensive interviews. The conclusive results were devised using a qualitative analysis as follows. Participation in the adapted physical activity program had the following effect on the undergraduate students of PE: (1) Their perception of physical activity for people with disabilities transformed from initial indifference and negative prejudice to recognizing the value and necessity through experiential understanding acquired during the process of the program. (2) First hand experience changed the participants’ stereotypical assumptions to understanding and awareness of the characteristics of people with disabilities. Their changed perceptions were reflected in the positive development of their attitudes and strategies for teaching physical activities to people with disabilities. 본 연구의 목적은 특수체육 프로그램 봉사활동 참여에 따른 체육전공 대학생의 장애인 신체활동에 대한 의미와 장애인 신체활동에 대한 지도태도와 지도전략의 변화를 심층적으로 탐색하는데 있다. 연구 참여자는 통합교육경험이 있는 A 대학교 체육전공 대학생 5명으로 32주간 A 대학교 특수체육 프로그램 봉사활동에 참여하였다. 연구 참여자가 매주 작성한 봉사활동일지, 연구자의 관찰일지, 심층면담을 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 수집한 자료를 질적 분석하여 다음과 같은 연구결과를 도출하였다. 연구결과, 특수체육 프로그램 봉사활동 참여를 통하여 (1) 체육전공 대학생의 장애인 신체활동에 대한 인식은 선입견을 내포한 무관심과 부정적인 상태에서 봉사활동을 통한 경험적 이해 과정을 통해 장애인 신체활동의 가치와 필요성을 인지하는 과정을 발견할 수 있었다. (2) 체육전공 대학생의 장애인 신체활동에 대한 지도태도나 지도전략은 시혜적 고정관념에서 신체활동을 통한 경험적 이해 과정을 통해 장애 특성과 장애인 신체활동에 대한 인식의 변화과정을 거쳐 지도태도나 지도전략에 있어 준비하고 체화하는 과정을 발견할 수 있었다.

Plexiform Schwannoma of the Stomach in Neurofibromatosis Type 2: A Case Report

Plexiform schwannoma is a relatively rare benign subepithelial tumor arising from the peripheral nerve sheath, and associated with Neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2). There are a few reports of plexiform schwannomas arising from the gastrointestinal tract, and to our knowledge, there is no report of it arising from the stomach in a patient with NF2. Here we present the first case of a plexiform schwannoma of the stomach in an NF2 patient a submucosal tumor on radiologic finding.

방황하는 별들 : 비장애 중심의 학교문화와 통합교육 주체자들의 경험에 관한 질적연구

본 연구는 국내 통합교육의 주요 쟁점인 통합교육 구성원들의 상호관계를 질적 연구 방법으로 분석하여 현재 국내 특수교육 및 통합교육 학계와 현장에 사회적 통합에 대한 시사점을 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 통합교육이 실시되고 있는 경기도 소재 모 인문계 고등학교에 소속된 청각장애학생과 일반학생 그리고 일반교사와 특수교사를 포함한 총 7인을 연구 대상으로 선정하였다. 개별 및 그룹면담과 참여관찰 실시를 통해 연구 참여자들 간의 상호인식 및 수용태도와 상호작용 및 경험내용을 파악하고, 이를 바탕으로 통합교육환경에서 사회적 통합이 제대로 이루어지지 않는 근본적인 원인을 탐색하였다. 본 연구의 분석결과, 학업성취와 능력 및 경쟁을 위주로 하며 다양성으로서의 장애를 의료적, 시혜적 문제로 접근하는 비장애중심주의 학교문화(ableist school culture)에서 통합교육의 주체인 교사와 일반학생, 그리고 장애학생은 서로간의 상호인식과 수용, 상호작용 및 상호협력 측면에서 상당한 어려움을 겪고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구는 통합교육의 주체들이 직면한 현실에서의 문제를 해결할 뿐만 아니라, 국내 통합교육의 가장 시급한 과제인 ‘사회적 통합’의 실현을 위해 장애학적 관점 적용을 통한 통합교육 연구의 재고찰과 함께 해당 관점을 이론적 근거로 하는 다양한 대상자와 다채로운 방식의 장애인식 개선 관련 프로그램 개발을 촉구한다.
