In general, contours in digital vector maps, which represent terrain characteristics and shape, are created by 3D digitizing the same height points using aerial photographs on the analytical or digital plotters with stereoscopic viewing. Hence, it requires lots of task, and subjective decision and experience of the operators. DTMs are generated indirectly by using contours since the national digital maps do not include digital terrain model (DTM) data. In this study, model key points which depict the important information about terrain characteristics were extracted from the contours. Further, determination of the efficient and flexible grid sizes were proposed to generate optimal DTM in terms of both quantitative and qualitative aspects. For this purpose, a progressive sampling technique was implemented, i.e., the smaller grid sizes are assigned for the mountainous areas where have large relief while the larger grid sizes are assigned for the relatively flat areas. In consequence, DTMs with multi-grid for difference areas could be generated instead of DTMs with a fixed grid size. The multi-grid DTMs reduce computations for data processing and provide fast display.
실시간 재해 공간 DB 수집을 위한 구제역 방문조사 모바일 웹앱 구축

2010년 11월말, 발생한 구제역은 초동 방역 조치가 늦어지면서 전국적인 피해가 발생하였다. 특히 전파매개체에 대한 파악이 늦어지면서 확산 범위를 키우게 된 것으로 분석되었는데 이는 다양한 구제역 전파 매개체에 대한 정보가 지역적으로 분산되어 있고 방역의 핵심 정보인 농장 방문 정보가 수집되지 않아 신속한 의사 결정 및 대책 수립의 한계가 나타났다. 따라서 신속하게 분산된 정보를 수집하고 실시간 분석이 가능하도록 공간적인 요소를 고려하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 구제역 발생시나리오에 최적화된 위치기반 형태의 공간 DB(Database)를 설계하고, 이동성, 접근성, 휴대성의 이점이 있는 스마트폰을 통해 농가 방문자들의 이력정보를 실시간으로 DB화하는 구제역 방문조사 모바일 웹앱 시스템을 구축하였다. 구축된 시스템은 전파매개체에 대한 정보를 즉각적으로 파악하여 신속한 의사 결정과 방역 조치에 효율을 높이고자 한다. The end of November 2010, foot-and-mouth disease(FMD) is damage occurred nationwide due to delay of preventive measures. It was analyzed that the spread range raised delayed propagation medium. It was regionally distributed a variety of information about FMD propagation medium and appeared limit of rapid making-decision and measure establish because it was` t collected farm`s visit information about quarantine measures. Therefore it is necessary to real-time analysis and collect distributed information considering the elements of the spatial. The study was designed spatial DB optimized scenario of FMD occurrence based location and constructed FMD investigation mobile webapp system of real-time DB of information of farm`s visitor using moility, accessibility, portability benefits of smart phone. This system understand immediately farm`s visit information and can be improved rapid making-decision and quarantine measures.

Agent-based epidemic models attempt to simulate disease transmission and associated control measures. Further statistical analysis of simulation result is necessary for greater understanding of the disease spatial diffusion. This study proposes the integration of modeling and result analysis as a single process by the adoption of the NetLogo and the R software. In this study, we performed spatially explicit agent-based epidemiological modeling using RNetLogo package which is an integration tool of NetLogo in R. The model is implemented using foot-and-mouth-disease(FMD) outbreak in South Korea as a case study. Analysis of simulation results can help to improve comprehension of disease spread dynamics and to take better steps towards the prevention and control of a FMD outbreak.
