한국어 ‘NP+밖에’의 이미지 스키마 연구 - 부정표현과 공기(共記)하는 현상에 대하여 -

이 글은 부정표현이 후행절에 공기(共記)되는 ‘NP+밖에’의 이미지 스키마를 제안하는 데 목적을 둔다. 이러한 이미지 스키마를 통하여 기존의 한국어 문법서 또는 한국어 교재에서 설명할 수 없었던 ‘NP+밖에’의 의미 및 용법에 대해 설명을 시도해 보고자 한다. 본고의 연구 방법은 다음과 같다. ‘NP+밖에’의 전이의미를 이해하기 위해서는 ‘안/밖’의 공간 개념을 반영한 이미지 스키마를 활용할 필요가 있다고 보았다. 영어 전치사 ‘IN/OUT’의 이미지 스키마가 한국어 ‘안/밖’의 이미지 스키마를 정의하는 데 적절한 역할을 할 것으로 판단하였다. 이렇게 유도해 낸 ‘NP+밖에’의 이미지 스키마를 통하여 기존의 한국어 문법서 또는 한국어 교재에서 설명할 수 없었던 제외 초점사 ‘NP+밖에’의 의미 및 용법에 대해 적절한 설명을 시도해 보았다. This article aims to propose an image schema of ‘NP+Bakke’ in which a negative expression is used together at following clause. Through the image schema, I would like to try to explain the meaning and usage of ‘NP+Bakke’ that could not be explained in existing Korean grammar books or Korean textbooks. The main method of the study is as follows. In order to understand the transition meaning of ‘NP+Bakke’, in my opinion, it is necessary to use the image schema that reflects the concept of ‘IN/OUT’ space. So the image schema of the English preposition ‘IN/OUT’ is useful to play an appropriate role in defining the image schema of the Korean word ‘An/Bakk(안/밖)’. Through the image schema of the ‘NP+Bakke’ induced in this way, I tried to explain the meaning and usage of the exclusionary focuser ‘NP+Bakke’ that could not be explained in existing Korean grammar books or Korean textbooks.
