DRAM Per-Row Activation Counting 기법의 시스템 성능 영향 분석

In this study we evaluate the performance overhead of per-row activation counting (PRAC) mechanism employed in DDR5 DRAM. PRAC is designed to handle the security attacks against DRAM cells by enabling refresh to target and adjacent rows based on access counts since the last activation. However, PRAC requires additional peripheral circuits that increase DRAM timing and refresh counts, thus PRAC may provoke significant performance overhead.<BR/> In order to investigate the performance hurdles by PRAC in DRAM, we analyze the performance impacts by adjusting DRAM timing parameters and refresh controls when PRAC is enabled in DRAM. We use the cycle-accurate DRAM simulator to evaluate the performance changes by various PRAC configurations. Our evaluation exhibits the performance overhead by PRAC is 8.5% on average when PRAC configurations are set up based on the JEDEC DDR5 standard.

Recently, many patients related to heart disease have surgical operation by expanding a blood vessel to treat the angiostenosis. So far most angioplasties have been performed using balloon-dilative stent made of stainless steel. Some researchers are studying the stent made of shape memory alloy (SMA) to operate the angioplasty more easily. and there are several papers which introduce the angioplasty using SMA. However, most of the analysis models for stents are constructed using solid elements. So much computing time is required to solve the analysis model. In this study, we suggest the SMA stent model using 1D truss element which is much faster than stent model using 3D solid element. To represent non-linear behavior of SMA, we apply 1D SMA constitutive equation of Lagoudas’. Pseudo-elastic behavior of stent structures is presented as a numerical example.
발사체 외부하중을 고려한 발사체 지상 고정장치 해체 특성 분석

It is desirable to verify the characteristics of launch vehicle (LV) motion connected with vehicle holding device (VHD) based on a basic design of equipment. However it is almost impossible to implement the same device configuration as real LV model to consider various external loads including wind load at the factory test level. In this study, we performed the multi-body dynamic (MBD) simulation of four VHD with LV model using commercial software to overcome difficulties to set up the real LV model at the test bench. We can obtain the motion and reaction force of VHD and LV from MBD simulation. As a result, the motion characteristics including the gap between LV and VHD in the flight condition of LV are verified under external loads on the LV such as wind load.
