이 연구의 목적은 지역사회복지론 교재의 문헌연구 방법에 근거하여 지역사회복지의 정체성을 확인ㆍ강화하는 데 있다. 지역사회 복지의 이론적 지식과 가치를 분석하고 동시에 정체성을 증대할 수 있는 과제를 제시했다. 분석의 결과는 다음과 같다. ① 지식기반이 미국과 일본에 편중, ② 사회복지에 비교하여 지역사회복지 담론의 차별성 부재, ③ 변화된 사회현실을 반영한 지역사회복지 가치 담론의 부재, ④ 세계화와 국가, 지역사회 맥락과 결부된 총체적 관점의 부족도 있다. 지역사회복지의 정체성을 강화하는 방안으로, ① 지역 사회복지의 이론적 관점 확장과 가치 담론의 강화, ② 『지역사회복지론』 교재의 미국과 일본 중심 담론 편중에서 벗어나, 다양한 국가의 담론 수용, ③ 지역 사회 문화와 지역의 경험적 지식을 반영한 토착화된 지역사회실천 모델 구축 등이다. This study is to examine and enhance the identity of community welfare by analysing theoretical knowledge and values are written in the community welfare texts. Along with the analysis based on literature review about the texts, the challenges to improve the identity are suggested. The results of the analysis are summarized as follows: 1) weighted towards the US and Japan in base of knowledge, 2) lacking of knowledge and values to strengthen its identity, 3) the deficit of discourse on values reflected the reality of community in the social contexts, and 4) lacking holistic perspectives on community practices. The challenges of strengthening the identity of Community Welfare and Practice are: 1) developing theoretical knowledge and values in the holistic contexts including the local, national, global levels; 2) presenting the knowledge and models of community practice developed in the several counties besides the US and Japan, and 3) developing the model of community practice indigenized by local culture and knowledge.
