Editor's Preface: On the Progress of Contemporary Korean Geography

이 특집호는 2012년 독일 쾰른에서 개최되는 제32차 세계지리학대회를 맞이하여 전 세계에 한국의 지리학을 소개하기 위해 마련한 것이다. 대한지리학회는 2000년 서울대회를 계기로 하여 한국 지리학의 연구 성과와 동향을 소개한 바 있다. 이 특집호는 2000년대 초반까지 정리된 한국 지리학의 학술적 연구 성과를 바탕으로 하여, 특히 지난 10여 년 동안의 한국 지리학의 학문적 성취와 연구 동향을 새롭게 살펴보고, 이와 아울러 향후 지리학의 미래 전망을 검토하고자 시도하였다. This special issue is planned to introduce the recent academic state of the Korean geography, as the 32nd International Geographical Congress (IGC) in Cologne, Germany, 2012 is approaching. Korean Geographical Society successfully hosted the 29th IGC 2000 in Seoul and had a chance to introduce trends and achievements of korean geographers at the time. This issue is to review the achievements of korean geography research for the past ten years, and to overview the academic prospect of the korean geography.

독일의 기후변화에 대응한 에너지정책에 관한 고찰(II)

이 글은 독일을 사례로 기후변화에 대응하여 국가 차원에서 추진하고 있는 에너지정책의 방향과 전략 그리고 수단 등을 고찰해 보고자 한다. 이 연구를 통해 밝혀질 독일의 기후변화에 대응한 에너지정책은 온실가스의 배출을 줄이고 에너지자원 위기를 극복하기 위해 노력하고 있는 우리나라의 에너지정책에도 적잖은 시사점을 제공할 것이다. 독일의 에너지정책은 기본적으로 에너지 경쟁력 확보, 에너지 공급의 안전성 보장, 친환경적 에너지 이용이라는 3대 정책기조를 확립하고 이를 달성하기 위해 2050년까지의 구체적인 지향 목표를 설정하고, 에너지 절감과 효율 증진과 재생에너지 이용 확대의 2대 중점 전략적 과제를 추진하고 있다. 이에 따라 에너지 관련 제도의 지속적인 개편 및 다양한 정책적 수단을 개발하여 시행하고 있다. This paper attempts to explain the energy policy to respond to climate change that is debated in recent years. Especially by the case of Germany among the developed countries, the study investigates the direction, strategy and measure of energy policy which are implemented at the national level. The Energy policy of Germany revealed through this study will provide implications for the establishment and propulsion of the energy policy trying to overcome the crisis of energy resources and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Korea. Firstly, this study reviews the major goal of German government's recent energy policy, and secondly discusses the various strategies and means of policy to achieve the main directions of Germany's energy policy.

독일의 국토 및 지역계획 II 역사적 전개와 주요 계획프로그램

The German spatial planning has undergone significant changes. The purpose of this study is to describe and to show how the development of spatial planning programs has developed in the Federal Republic of Germany in the last 50 years. However, the aim of this paper is not just to trace certain trends in planning practices, but to investigate their origin including the visions, directions, and purposes according to the each period. The national-level spatial planning could be divided into three phases since the enactment of the first Federal Regional Planning Act (ROG): The heyday of regional planning (1965-1975), the skepticism and crisis (1975-1990), new challenges by German unification and European integration since 1990. After 1965 the federal government has set up a number of frame-setting programs at the federal level to cope with the changing conditions and new challenges.

대학과 기업 간의 협력: 기술이전을 중심으로 한 전남대학교의 사례 분석

지식경제 하에서 국가 및 지역의 경제발전과 경쟁력을 위해서는 과학기술의 기반을 유지하고 지속적인 연구개발을 통한 혁신이 중요하다. 이런 맥락에서 새로운 지식 및 기술을 창출하고 확산시키는 기관으로서 대학의 역할이 과거 그 어느 때보다 강조되고 있다. 이 연구는 산학협력, 특히 대학과 외부 기관 간의 기술이전 및 지식교환의 양상을 파악하고, 대학의 기술이전이 지역과 지역 소재 기업들의 혁신과 경쟁우위를 확보하는데 얼마나 영향을 미치는지를 설명해 보고자 한다. 전남대학교의 기술이전, 특히 대학의 구성원이 창출한 특허 지식 및 기술의 사업화에 의거하여 살펴본 사례 분석의 결과는 전남대학교가 창출한 지식과 기술의 많은 부분이 대학 소재 지역인 광주 및 전남 지역으로 이전되고 있으며, 따라서 대학의 기술이전이 지역경제에 일정부분 영향을 미치고 있음을 확인할 수 있다. In the knowledge-based economy the innovation through continuous research and development(R&D) is crucial for the economic development and competitiveness of the region or country. The role of university as an institution which creates and diffuses new knowledge and technology should be highly emphasized these days in that context. This study explores the university-industry collaboration. More specifically, technology transfer and knowledge exchange between a university and external industrial partners are examined and the influences of such activities are, then, evaluated in the aspects of innovation and competitive advantages of the industrial partners. The case study on the Chonnam National University indicates that the considerable amount of knowledge and technology developed within the university tended to transferred to local areas, namely Gwangju and Jeonnam region. It can be claimed that the university, at least Chonnam National University, has positive impacts on the regional economy through technology transfer and knowledge share.

한국의 혁신 기업문화에 관한 실증적 연구

The purpose of this study is to uncover and analyze the current status of innovation culture in Korean companies. The basic factors of innovation culture in this study are as follows; creativity, strategy leading customers, creative failure, open culture, and innovation portfolio. The data are analyzed in three groups, large companies, medium companies, and public companies.

커뮤니티 비즈니스를 통한 지역차원의 일자리 창출

이 글은 최근 들어 일자리 창출 등과 관련하여 주목을 받고 있는 사회적기업의 하나인 커뮤니티 비즈니스를 분석한 것이다.커뮤니티 비즈니스는 특히 지역 차원의 일자리 창출을 위한 대안적 수단의 하나로 중요하게 인식되고 있다.따라서 이 글은 우선 커뮤니티 비즈니스의 개념과 성격을 살펴보는 것으로 시작하여, 국내의 커뮤니티 비즈니스의 육성 정책과 주요 사례를 분석하였다.이 글은 이러한 논의를 바탕으로 하여 국내 커뮤니티 비즈니스의 특성과 시사점을 파악한 뒤, 마지막으로 향후 커뮤니티 비즈니스의 활성화하기 위한 정책적 방향을 탐색해 보았다. This paper aims to analyze the "community business" as one type of social enterprise.The community business is recently regarded as a alternative mean of job creation at the regional scale.Firstly, the paper starts to explain the main concept and characteristics of community business and secondly the various policies about the community business in Korea.Thirdly, the paper examines the cases of community business and then explores for new solutions to the promotion of the community business.

한국 고서 표지의 바탕문양을 활용한 텍스타일디자인 연구

‘디자인’이라는 요소는 현대에 들어서 우리 삶에 있어서 떼어놓을 수 없는 분야로 급격하게 성장하였다. 이는 남들과 같으면서도 다름을 추구하고자 하는 인간의 욕구에 의한 것이며, 그 점을 파악한 공급자들이 소비자를 위해 너도나도 다투어 새로운 디자인을 시장에 내놓았다. 언제나 새로운 것을 추구하더라도 자신의 근처에 있는 것들, 예부터 보아왔던 것들이 익숙하거나, 자신이 보았던 것이 약간의 변화를 거쳤을 때 새로운 충격으로 다가올 때가 있다. 본 연구에서는 전통문양을 활용한 제품 중에서도 한국 고서의 표지문양 중 하나인 바탕문에 초점을 맞추어 현재까지 남아있는 고서를 바탕으로 파악된 각 문양의 분류에 따라 그 문양의 공통점을 찾아내 분석하며, 현대적 색채를 입혀 디자인 시장에서 소비자들이 선호하는 새로운 텍스타일디자인 개발에 기여하고자 하는데 연구의 목적을 둔다. 연구방법은 ‘한국의 고서 표지’ 문양과 ‘전통 문양’에 관련된 국내외 전문서적, 논문 등의 문헌 자료 분석과 인터넷을 이용한 정보 DB 및 네트워크 검색을 통한 분석 및 고찰로 진행되었다. 연구의 범위와 내용은 문양의 기원과 한국 고서 표지의 특징, 표지문양 중에서도 바탕문에 속한 길상문, 식물문, 기하문을 연구의 범위로 하여 각 문양의 의미분석을 통한 텍스타일 디자인 개발을 연구한다. 이렇게 바탕문에 속한 문양들의 분석을 통한 새로운 문양과 함께 현대적 색채를 결합한 6종류의 텍스타일디자인을 전개해 본 결과, 거의 하나의 문양으로 모든 것을 표현하고자 했던 고서의 표지문양들이 가지고 있는 한계에서 벗어나, 같은 분류 안의 다양한 문양을 중첩시키고 다르게 전개하되 본래 문양이 가지고 있는 특징은 고스란히 간직하고 있는 새로운 디자인을 창출함으로써 한국의 미를 유지할 수 있었다. 고서의 표지문양들이 가지고 있는 의미들은 텍스타일을 비롯한 여러 디자인 분야에서도 유용하게 활용될 훌륭한 요소임을 확인할 수 있었다. 이것은 옛 것의 다양한 변화에 대한 결과물이 향후 글로벌 텍스타일디자인 마켓을 겨냥할 수 있는 글로컬 디자인 개발에 가능성을 제공하여 소비자의 시선을 사로잡을 것이라 예측 되어진다. The area of “designs” has been rapidly developed and become attached to our modern life. The desire of human beings to be not only similar but also different from others motivated the various designs. Thus, the needs for newer designs induced competitive productions of novel designs in the market. However, the reinterpretation of familiar and used things with slight changes may bring new aspects of the old things. To contribute to develop novel textile designs favored by customers in the market, we analyzed the common points of patterns across all categories of pattern designs based on cultural assets focused on Korean antique book covers using traditional patterns with modern colors. We analyzed Korean antique book cover designs and traditional designs using domestic/international publications, special articles, information DB and internet searches. In this study, we investigated the origin of patterns, the characteristics of old book cover, and cover patterns including background patterns, such as Fortunate pattern, Plantology pattern, and Geometric pattern. We analyzed the meaning of each pattern and studied the textile design developments. We demonstrated six kinds of textile designs which combined the novel patterns and the modern colors by the analysis of patterns of Background. In contrast to that cover designs of old books which expressed everything using mainly one pattern, the novel designs keeping the original, but differentiated and varied, patterns were developed and maintained the beauty of Korea. The meanings in the cover design patterns of old books showed its importance for the potential purposes for designs including the textiles. In conclusion, the results of various modifications of old things may play a role to attract customers by providing the possibilities of glocal design development that targeted the market of global textile designs in near future.

우리나라 외국인 유학생의 이주 현황과 특성 : 이론적 논의와 실태 분석
