As the world population is aging, especially in advanced countries, the paradigm of the environmental plan has been changed. Rapidly growing baby-boomer population has altered the concept of aging friendly environment, because this generation with material prosperity, unlike previous generations, is pursuing various lifestyles, and life values. Along with these, the development of today’s science technology and cultural change has accelerated these demands. In Korea, there is no accumulated experience of developing and managing the aging friendly environment, and accordingly, some developments in Korea were more likely to follow the former experience of developed countries. Since the environment for our reference has changed so fast, it is necessary to read this changing trend for developing right one for Korean. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to find out current concept of the aging friendly environment changes. For this purpose, a qualitative method was used by analyzing the contents presented at a latest leading conference on Environment for Aging which is a gathering field of live information on current trend. The data were collected through visiting conference, recording presented contents, collecting relevant publication, and interviewing as needed. The analysis was conducted by extracting keywords and connecting them to grasp the current trends. As a result, this study found several current trends; combining green design strategy with elderly living environment, pursuing diverse way of social mix, and emphasizing Evidence Based Design. These trends imply the necessity of the change in the developmental direction of Korean elderly housing, preventing the conventional trial and error otherwise expected.

공간디자인 교육의 발전 방향에 관한 연구 - 웹 연계 공간디자인 교육방안 수립을 위한 기초조사 -

공간디자인의 교육 내용이나 형식, 그리고 방법에 대한 시도는 사회적 배경이나 기술의 발달에 따라 변화되어왔으며, 현대에 이르러서는 컴퓨터와 인터넷의 발달로 더욱 많은 함께 새로운 교육 방법의 시도가 이루어지고 있으나, 종합적으로 어떠한 방향으로 미래의 공간디자인 교육이 나아가야 할 지 총체적 파악은 부족하다. 본 연구는 이러한 필요성에서 시작되었고, 연구의 목적은 공간디자인 교육이 시간의 흐름에 따라 변화하는 내용을 파악하고, 이를 바탕으로 향후 웹 연계 공간디자인 교육의 전개 방향을 제시하는 것이다. 이를 위해 공간디자인 교육에 관한 선행연구들을 시기별로 파악하고, 내용분석을 통해 종합적 변화의 방향을 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 국내의 공간디자인 교육은 `교과과정의 변화`, `디지털 도구의 활용`, `웹의 활용`, `새로운 주제의 접목` 의 네 가지 항목으로 변화가 파악되었다. 공간디자인 교육은 공간디자인의 전문성을 확립하는 것에서 실무교육의 강화로, 그리고 이론과 실무의 통합적 연계 방안으로 변화해나갔으며, 디지털 도구의 활용은 공간디자인 시각화에 적용하는 단계에서 디자인 프로세스 전반에 걸친 적용의 확대, 그리고 아날로그 방법의 교육과 연계하여 통합적으로 적용되는 방식으로 제안되고 있다. 최근 발달하게 된 웹의 활용은 사이버공간의 일방향적 전달에서 쌍방향적 전달이 강조되고 있고, 친환경, 고령친화, 창의성이라는 새로운 주제가 교육에 접목되고 있었다. 미래 웹 연계 공간디자인 교육은 이러한 방향에 맞추어 발전되어야 한다. Approaches to educational contents, formalities, and methods of spatial design has changed with social backgrounds or technological advancement, and in the modern times, due to development of computers and the Internet, there have occurred more changes, with which new educational methods have been tried, yet still short of comprehensive understanding on which direction the future space education should aim at. This study started out of this necessity, and its purpose is to grasp changes in the direction of researches related to spatial design, and to present the direction of future development with web linked design education. For this, the forgoing researches on space design was assorted by periods, and direction of the comprehensive changes via the content analysis method was analyzed. Based on its outcome, domestic space design education have shown changes in 4 items of `curriculum changes`, use of digital tools`, `use of the Web`, and `grafting new subjects`. The spatial design education has advanced from securing professionalism of space design, through field education reinforcement to integrative plan of theory and hands-on experience, while the use of digital tools from application of spatial design visualization to enlarged application through out the whole design process as well as suggestions on integrative plan in conjunction with analogue educational plan. Utilization of the Web that has recently developed empathizes a shift from unilateral transmission to bilateral, and the new subjects such as eco-friendliness, age-friendliness, and creativity is applied to the spatial design education. Web linked spatial design education in the future should be developed in such a direction.

공포만화의 잔혹성에 관한 연구

만화에는 시사, 순정, 학원, 무협, 스포츠, 심리, 학습, 생활, 공포 등의 다양한 장르가 있다. 그 중에서도 공포만화는 사실적이거나 과장된 묘사와 있을 법한 이야기 또는 과장되거나 상상력으로 가득 찬 이야기를 토대로 한다. 이토준지의 공포만화는 국내에 소개된 이후로 독자층이 형성되어 여러 판본으로 인쇄되었다. 본 연구는 공포만화의 장르를 분석함으로서 독자에게 미치는 영향에 대한 연구의 필요성에서 출발한다. 이토준지의 공포만화 중 〈토미에〉는 흔히 보아온 공포물의 구조에 극히 비현실적인 상황을 부여함으로서 〈토미에〉만의 잔혹한 공포 이미지를 만들어내고 있다. 잔혹한 공포만화는 만화의 한 장르로서 장르 분석의 중요성을 환기 시킨다. 〈토미에〉는 공포 중에서도 ‘잔혹성’의 측면에서 집요하게 묘사함으로써 독자들은 거부하고자 하면서도 즐기는 ‘카타스트로피’ 효과가 나타난다. 본 연구는 〈토미에〉의 잔혹성을 인간 심리의 측면에서 본 ‘묘사의 잔혹성’을 연구하고자 한 것이다. There are the various genres such as current affairs, romance, academy, Wuxia, sports, psychology, learning, living and horror in cartoons. Among them, the horror comics are based on the story full of real or realistic subject or exaggerated imagination. The horror comic by Ito Junji have gone through the various printings for the classes of readers since it was introduced in this country. This study has begun from necessity of research on the effect of the horror comics genre on the readers by analysis. 〈Tomie〉 among Ito Junji’s horror comics makes its own cruel horror image by giving a very unrealistic situation to the usual structure of horror genre. The cruel horror comics rouse significance of the analysis of the genre as one genre of the comics. 〈Tomie〉 has the ‘catastrophe’ effect for the readers who want to enjoy and deny it at the same time by stubbornly describing aspect of ‘cruelty’ of the horror things. This study aims to research ‘cruelty of portrayal’ of 〈Tomie〉 in terms of human psychology.

공모전 수상작 디자인 주제 분석을 통한 최근 공간 디자인 트렌드 연구

오늘날 공간디자인과 관련하여 공간에 내포되는 디자인 주제의 변화는 디자인 트렌드로 이해되고 있다. 색감과 마감재 등에 치우쳐진 공간디자인 트렌드 가 아닌 디자인 주제의 흐름에 대한 이해는 디자인 실무분야뿐만 아니라 공간디자인의 교육에 있어서 매우 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 공간 디자인 공모전 작품들에 내포된 디자인 주제들을 추출하여 최근 공간 디자인 트렌드를 파악하는 것으로, 이를 위해 한국 공간 디자인 대전과 한국 인테리어 대전의 최근 2~3년간 수상작품을 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 연구 결과, 공모전 수상작들의 공간디자인에 적용된 최근의 디자인 주제는 `자연친화`와 연계된 주제가 가장 많았으며, `힐링`, `소통`, `전통`, `지속가능성`, `환경문제`, `가족`, `공동체`, `개인의 성장`, `여가와 문화` 등의 주제가 추출되었다. 이들을 분석하여 도출된 주요 공간디자인 트렌드는 `친환경 디자인 트렌드`, `웰빙 디자인 트렌드`, `함께 사는 사회를 위한 디자인 트렌드`, 그리고 `전통문화 디자인 트렌드` 로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 공간 디자이너와 전공학생들의 디자인 작업에 있어 현재는 물론 보다 미래지향적인 디자인 주제들을 파악하는 데에 유용한 자료를 제공하며, 창의적 공간디자인을 위한 적용 가능한 실제적 토대를 마련하는 것에 그 의의가 있다. The change of design subjects implied in the space shows the transition of design trend, so that understanding this change in very important for design practice as well as for the education of space design. The purpose of the study is to analyze the latest design trends through the design themes that are contained in the recent space design works of competition. This study conducts a research on the subjects of award-winning works of the Korea Space Design Competition over the last three years and the Korea Interior Design Competition over the last two years. The results of the study show that the mostly adopted design theme in the recent space design is `eco-friendly`, followed by `healing`, `communication`, `traditional`, `sustainability`, `environmental issues`, `family`, `community`, `personal growth`, `leisure and culture`, etc. Design trends that analyzed through those design themes are `trends of traditional design`, `eco-design trends`, `well-being design trends`, and, `social design trends`. The results of this study have a significance as a useful data for space designers and students to understand and anticipate the design theme for the future, and as a practical foundation for designing creative space.

창의적 공간디자인을 위한 접근방법에 관한 연구

공간을 디자인하는 방법은 시대에 따라 변화되어 왔다. 아름다움을 중요시하고, 정해진 건축적 원칙을 따르던 고대와 합리적이고 효율적인 디자인을 강조하는 근대의 패러다임으로부터 창의력을 강조하는 새로운 패러다임으로의 전환이 요구되고 있다. 이러한 새로운 패러다임은 무에서 새롭게 창조되는 것이 아니라, 공간디자인의 역사적 맥락을 파악하고, 인류의 과거로부터 시도된 공간디자인 방법에서 그 바탕을 찾을 필요가 있다. 본 연구의 목적은 역사적 맥락에서 공간디자인에 접근하는 방법의 흐름을 분석하고, 유명 건축가와 디자이너들이 시도한 여러 창의적 디자인방법을 체계적으로 정리하여, 사례를 통해 창의적 디자인을 위한 접근 방법의 주요 특징을 분석하는 것이다. 연구방법으로 문헌분석과 건축가와 학생작품사례를 통한 사례분석을 사용하였다. 그 결과, 자연으로부터의 패턴을 활용하는 방법, 합리적 조사를 근거로 조형적으로 활용하는 방법, 공간이 속한 대지에 순응하거나 대비되는 방법, 고전 건축물의 원칙을 재해석하는 방법, 음악, 미술, 수학 등 다른 분야의 특징을 차용하는 방법, 폴딩, 몰핑, 스케일링, 다이어그램, 데이터스케이프 등을 포함하는 사물이나 현상이 생성되는 과정을 통한 방법으로 6가지 범주의 접근방법이 제시되었다. 또한, 디자인 접근 방법에 대한 사례분석을 통해 창의적으로 활용되는 디자인 접근방법의 특징이 분석되었는데, ``창의적 모방``, ``융합``, ``디지털``로 요약된다. 본 연구의 의의는 공간디자인을 위한 창의적 디자인 방법에 대한 종합적 이해를 돕고, 창의적 디자인 교육을 위한 다양한 접근 방법의 유형들을 제시하는 데에 있다. Design methods for space has changed over time. The present requires a new paradigmatic shift emphasizing creativity, beyond the ancient way to follow steadfast rules and the modern methods pursuing rationality and efficiency. This new paradigm cannot be created out of nothing, but should be found from the historical context and hitherto methodologies of spatial design. The purpose of this study is to review the historial trend of spatial design perspectives, to systematically categorize various creative design methodologies of renowned architects and designers, and to analyze major features of the methods from the applications in actual cases. For this, documentary method and case study method are applied. The result shows that the design approach methods for creative spatial design consists of 6 categories, which are application of patterns from nature, rational research based approaches, response to site, reinterpretation of classic architectural theories, adoptive approaches with music, paintings, and mathematics, and generative process including scaling, folding, morphing, diagram, datascape and etc. Also, the characteristics of the approach methods are analyzed through case analyses, which can be summarized in terms of ``creative imitation,`` ``convergence,`` and ``digital.`` The significance of this study is to generate a comprehensive understanding how to design for creative space, and suggests various types of design approach methods for creative education.

공간디자인의 창의적 조형을 위한 컨셉모델 활용 교육방법에 관한 연구

공간디자인에서 창의적 디자인 개념을 설정하고 이를 조형적으로 해석하여 공간을 디자인해 나가는 단계는 매우 중요한 반면에, 많은 학생들이 고민하고 어렵게 느끼고 있는 과정이다. 본 연구에서는 공간디자인 프로세스에서 디자인 개념을 공간에 적용하기 위한 하나의 매개적 방법으로 컨셉 모델(concept model)을 활용하는 것을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 목적은 추상적 공간디자인 개념을 3차원의 컨셉 모델로 해석하여 이를 매개로 공간디자인에 적용하는 교육 방법을 제안하고, 컨셉 모델의 유용성과 유형을 분석하는 것이다. 이를 통해 보다 창의적 공간디자인을 가능하게 하는 효과적 교육 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 컨셉 모델의 활용은 공간 디자인을 배우는 학생들을 대상으로 유용하다고 나타났다. 디자인 개념을 컨셉 모델로 표현하는 방법은 5가지 유형으로 분석되었는데, 모티브를 통한 형태화, 언어적 의미의 형상화, 이미지의 변형, 하나의 과정/상황을 형상화, 다른 분야(음악,문학,IT)와의 융합적 해석이 있었다. 이와 같은 결과에서 컨셉 모델을 통한 형태적 해석이 공간디자인의 조형적 표현을 용이하게 해주는 장점이 나타났으며, 공간디자인을 처음 접하는 학생들에게 공간디자인에 대한 어려움을 덜어주는 효과가 있었다. 또한 공간이라는 큰 규모의 압박에서 벗어나 상대적으로 자유로운 형태적 스터디가 가능하다는 장점이 있었다. 따라서, 본 연구의 결과에서 컨셉 모델은 공간디자인 교육의 효과적 도구로서 활용이 가능함을 보여주었다. While it is vital to set creative design concepts and interpret them formatively for spatial design, many students have troubles doing this procedure. This study suggests use of concept models as a mediation means by which to apply the design concept used for spatial design process to space. This study aims to interpret the abstract concept of spatial design as a 3-D concept model, by mediation of which to suggest educational methods applying it to spatial design, and to analyze usability & types of concept models. Through this, effective educational methods enabling more creative spatial design are explored. Result of this study shows that the utilization of concept models is found useful to students learning spatial design. 5 categories of methods by which to express design concepts in the form of concept models are analyzed; morphologization via motifs, embodiment of linguistic meanings, imagery transformation, embodiment of a process/situation and convergent interpretation in conjunction to other fields(music, literature, IT). These results reveal the advantage that morphological interpretation via conceptual models eases the formative expression of space design, and that it eases the difficulty beginners learning spatial design have. It also has an advantage that learners can have formative studies in relatively liberal manner, freed of large-scale pressure imposed upon them by space. Accordingly, result of this study shows a possibility that conceptual models can be utilized as an effective tool for education of spatial design.

농촌거주 시각장애인의 주택개조사례 과정을 통해 본 맞춤형 개조 방향도출연구

There is a growing interest on and expansion of rights of people with disabilities. Among them, people with visual impairment show high adaptation to environments in comparison to people with other types of disabilities, thus a large percentage of them live in their own houses rather than residing in a care facility. According to the housing status of people with visual impairment, the ratio of their residence in rural areas is high. In rural areas people who have disabilities often live in poor residential environments, requiring much improvement. However, such improvement is too costly for them to pay, and home modification that does not fully consider the user, may cause less efficiency and another dangerous situation to people with disabilities. The purpose of this study is to delineate empirical lessons for direction of customized home modification for people with disabilities through analysis of process of home modification including the execution as a intervention. This study used qualitative method to examine and analyzed the entire customized home modification process. The conclusion of this study is as follows. First, home modification measures should be derived considering the suitability of the target building for the specific condition of residents. Second, discussions with various stakeholders from the early stage during which proper home modification measure is searched are essential for realizing appropriate customized home modification. This study has significance in that it provides the direction for customized home modification for people with disabilities as well as empirical data that could reduce trials and errors in the future.
