Demand for stylish goods such as fashion apparel shows concentrated selling season in short period of time and sales data of previous season has limited usefulness in forecasting sales of current season due to the large variability of trend and design of the product as well as dynamic of the industry. The demand can be characterized by high correlation between early sales and the season total sales amount. In this paper, the quantile regression model is developed to forecast total sales with observations of early sales. Numerical investigation shows that the propose model performs very well with 7% forecasting error. Further research issues are addressed to extend this model.

The exponential smoothing and i.i.d. demand process are often used to forecast demand in practice without justifying their appropriateness. In this paper, it is asserted that demand process may differ from exponential smoothing or i.i.d. process. The demand generated by a general ARMA process are suggested to describe a true demand process and the expression of variances of leadtime demand and reorder point are derived for ARMA(p,q), exponential smoothing and i.i.d. demand model. In numerical investigation, the performance of the models are compared.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that affect performance of public medical centers (PMCs). The performance of a PMC is measured by the number of inpatients, the number of outpatients and the operating margin. The independent variables that affect these performance measures include the general characteristics (the location of PMC, the number of local population, the number of years of operation, the number of medical specialty, the number of beds), the characteristics of employee (the number of medical doctors, the number of nurses, the number of medical technicians, and the number of administrative staffs), and the patient mix (the number of inpatients and the number of outpatients). The data for the analysis were collected from the financial statements in the annual reports of the PMCs. The results showed that the location of PMC and the number of specialty had statistically significant effects on the number of outpatients. The number of local population, the number of beds, the number of nurses were significantly affecting the number of inpatients. Finally, the operating margin was significantly affected by the types of hospital, the number of nurses, outpatient, and inpatients. Based on the results the managerial implications were discussed.

연구목적 - 모래성모형에 따르면 기업이 궁극적으로 원가효율성을 달성하기 위해서는 품질, 납기, 유연성의 순서에 의해 누적적으로 달성되어야 가능하다는 이론이다. 본 연구는 생산운영능력 사이의 인과적 관계를 모래성모형에 근거하여 실증적으로 분석하고 결과를 제시할 것이다. 연구방법 - 문헌조사를 통한 정석적 연구와 영남지역의 주요 공단에 소재한 제조업을 대상으로 설문조사 자료를 활용하여 구조방정식 모형을 표시된 인과관계를 실증분석하였다. 주요결과 - 본 연구의 실증분석 결과 품질이 납기와 원가에, 납기가 유연성에 긍정적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으나 품질이 유연성에, 납기가 원가에, 유연성이 원가에 미치는 영향은 통계적으로 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 시사점 - 본 연구 결과는 효과적 생산시스템이 되기 위하여 생산전략의 수립과 시행에 생산운영능력 우선순위가 반영되어야 함을 시사하고 있다. Purpose - Sand Cone Model asserts that the effective improvement of manufacturing capabilities must be made in the sequential order of quality, delivery, flexibility and cost efficiency. This study empirically investigates the sequential relationship among the manufacturing capabilities. Design/Methodology - In addition to the qualitative research for previous papers, the empirical research is conducted using the data of the questionnaires collected from manufacturers at the industrial complex located in East-South Korea. The structural equation model is used for statistical analysis. Findings - It is concluded from the empirical investigation that the quality positively affects both of deliver and cost, and that delivery does flexibility. Also the relations directional from quality to flexibility, from delivery to cost and flexibility to cost are not statistically significant. Implications - The research finding suggests that the effectiveness of production system is required the sequential priority of the manufacturing capabilities in development and implementation of production strategy.
교환당사자의 특성, 교환관계 지각, 관계품질 및 행동의도의 순차적 인과관계

The research for exchange relationship in customer’s perspective is meaningful especially in service, considering distinctive characteristics of service operations such as customer participation in the process whereas most of the recent related researches have been focused on employee’s interaction with organization, leader, team and customer. In this study for beauty art service, the exchange party’s characteristic is defined with beauty salon's reputation, staff’s professionalism and customer’s self-esteem. Also the exchange relation perception is classified into symbolism and interaction, Then the directional relations on customer’s perspective are empirically investigated in the sequential order of the exchange party’s characteristics, the exchange relation perception, the relationship quality and behavioral intention. In addition, the study examined the meditation effect via relationship quality between the exchange relation perception and the behavioral intention. Followings are confirmed from the statistical test with structural equation modelling:Symbolism is significantly caused by all of professionalism, reputation and self-esteem in the descending order of effect size whereas interaction is significantly influenced by only professionalism. The exchange relation perception has significant effect on the relationship quality, in turn which significantly affects behavioral intention. The exchange relation perception shows the significant indirect effect meditated by relationship quality and the insignificant direct effect on behavioral intention. This paper concludes with contribution of this study, managerial implication of the research findings and further research issues.

본 연구는 국민기초생활보장법상 보충성 규정의 법 원리적 성격을 규명하고자 하였다. 보충성원리는 그 기능의 측면에서 적극적 의미와 소극적 의미의 양면성을 가지기 때문에 그것이 도입된 법규범의 특성에 따라 다르게 해석ㆍ적용된다. 요컨대, 보충성원리의 소극적 의미는 국가권력의 자의적 남용을 제한하여 시민의 자유를 보장하는 것이므로 형법 등 사회통제 규범에서는 타당한 기능이 되지만, 사회보장법 특히 공공부조에서는 사회국가(복지국가)원리에 따라 국가의 개입에 의한 지원과 예방책이 요구되므로 보충성원리의 적극적 의미가 적법ㆍ타당하게 된다. 그러므로 국민기초생활보장법상 보충성원리는 자율권의 한계 내에서 적극적 의미로 해석ㆍ적용될 때 생존권 보장에 순기능을 하게 되며, 법적 안정성도 가지게 된다. The purpose of this study is to examine the legal attribute of subsidiarity principle on the National Basic Livelihood Security Act. The principle of subsidiarity is applied to the regulation for 'fundamental principle of benefits' on the National Basic Livelihood Security Act, therefore it functions as legal theory. However, due to its both positive and negative characteristics it becomes to be interpreted and applied in a different meaning depending on the normative characteristics of related laws. In brief, as the passive meaning of subsidiarity principle guarantees the freedom of civilian by limiting national power, it is reasonable in social control norm like criminal law. However, as nation's active role of intervention and support is required in order to protect basic standard of human life according to the principle of Social(welfare)State, the active meaning of subsidiarity principle is reasonable in Social Security law, especially in public assistance. Hence, the principle of subsidiarity on the National Basic Livelihood Security Act becomes to realize, justice, goal fitness and legal stability when it is operated by system with interpreting in an active meaning.
지각된 공정성, 조직적 공약, 서비스 수행 사이의 인과관계: 대구 경북지역병원 간호사를 중심으로

Service personnel who have direct contact with customers influence the customer`s perception of service quality and customer satisfaction. In this study, empirical analysis using structural equation modelling was conducted on the causal relationship among perceived justice, organizational commitment and service performance. The authors proposed, on a basis of the qualitative research of the related previous papers, a research model which represents the causal relationship from procedural justice, interaction justice and continuance commitment to affective commitment, and from affective commitment to service performance. The empirical analysis result showed that affective commitment is significantly caused by interaction justice, continuance commitment and procedural justice in descending order of effect size, and that service performance is significantly caused by affective commitment. This paper concludes with contribution of this study, managerial implication of the research findings and further research issues.
