        This paper deals with digital filter designed via Walsh function. The proposed method proves the relation between Walsh and Fourier coefficients from the sinusoidal characteristics of Walsh function. Then using the above method, we could find the fundamental wave and desired harmonics simply and quickly.

      • 블럭펄스 변환에 의한 비선형계의 준최적제어에 관한 연구

        This paper presents a method of suboptimal control for nonlinear systems via block pulse transformation. The adaptive optimal control scheme proposed by J.P. Matuszewski is introduced to minimize the performance index. Nonlinear systems are controlled using the obtained optimal control via block pulse transformation. The proposed method is simple and computationally advantageous. Viablity of the this method is established with simulation results for the van der Pole equation for comparision with other methods.

        A feedback controlled digital circuit is discussed with provides integral-cycle thyristor or triac control of AC power in RL loads. The circuit deals with compensating method for adjusting the firing angle of the thyristor or triac to eleminate the undesirable DC component in current of RL load. and then it shows how provides the optimum time distribution of the conducting half-cycle with in control period for the minimum of output ripple. Evaluation of the steady-state response for a simulated RL load system due to a constant digital control input is analyzed by application of Walsh transforms. Numerical example illustrates how Walsh transforms may be used to analysis the steady-state response of a system with 3-bit pararell binary input.

        This paper presents an algorithm for improvement of convergence in Adaptive Filter. The proposed algorithm employes the time-varying Convergence Factor to Data-Reusing BLMS adaptation algorithm. Computer simulation for Adaptive Modeling of time-invarying and time-varying unknown systems has been performed. Performance comparisons between LMS, BLMS algorighms which have fixed Convergence Factors obtained by trial and error and the proposed algorithm which has time-varying Convergence Factor show that the proposed algorithm is superior to LMS and BLMS algorithm with respect to speed and accuracy of adaptation.

      • 횡단형 FIR 적응 등화기의 안정도 및 수렴속도의 향상에 관한 연구

        After the receive filter, an adaptive equalizer is employed to recover the transmitted data in the presence of channel distortion. The FIR adaptive equalizer are built from a Walsh network and an LMS algorithm. The Walsh network is employed as an adaptive equalizer for which an algorithm for recursively adjusting the tap gain coefficients minimizing the mean square error. The Walsh network consists of a Walsh and Block pulse functions. In this paper, minimization of the mean square error is accomplished by the now well-known LMS algorithm. In the LMS algorithm, the convergence factor is an important design parameter because it governs stability and convergence speed, which depend on the proper choice of the convergence factor. The conventional adaptation techniques use a fixed time constant convergence factor by the method of trial and error. In this paper, we proposed an optimal method in the choice of the convergence factor.

        The application of Walsh function to the time-domain synthesis problem of the linear control system with time delay is discussed in this study. Expansion of the input and output time functions in Walsh searies leads to a transformation of the original model time-varying delay differential equation into a computationally convenient algebraic form. The result consists of Walsh matrix, operational matrix, coefficient matrix and shift Walsh matrix, and the consequent systems are normalized to an approximate, in least squares principle, algebra by Walsh Spectral decomposition, and then deals with the error function for time delay. Numerial example illustrates how walsh functions may be used to synthesis time varying systems with unknown time delays.

      • 축소 플랜트를 이용한 PID 제어기 설계

        In this paper, a simple method is developed for desiging a single loop PID contriller using a computer oriented algebraic approach which is based on general polynomial. Specifically, the proposed PID controller can approximately achieve an arbitrarily specified closed-loop response, which satisfies time domain specifications such as rising time, overshoot and settling time. The design technique is straightforward, and the paramaters of the PID controller are determined by solving a set of linear equations using the least squares method. It does not involve any trial and error proceduer, hence the difficulty of the conventional approach can be avoided.

      • Walsh 함수 발생기의 구성과 정·여현파 합성에 관한 연구

        This paper describes the design of sequency ordered Walsh function generator and the application of Walsh function to sine-cosine wave synthesis. Any waves may be expanded as a finite Walsh series. And the result is a stepped approximation to the waves that has minimum mean-square error. The synthesis of stepped sine-cosine waves is esily implemented by using the Walsh function generator, converter and summing amplifier.

      • 태양추적장치의 상태공간 적용분석

        The purpose of a solar tracking system is to control the attitude of a space vehicle so that it will track the sun with high accuracy. In this paper, tracking of the sun in one plane is accomplished, an iterative procedure for control modellig of solar tracking system is presented by simultaneous differential equations and transfer functions. Also a program for obtaining a state-space representation is developed. A program for computation of state variables is based on the use of a 4th-order Runge-Kutta numerical integration algorithm included subroutines. It is applicable for the nonlinear time-variant case by appropriate modification of the subroutine. Computer simulation results are shown for the dynamic characteristics of vehicle system, armature -controlled DC motor and controller. Althogh certain interesting results are well established and documented, it is still a difficult task in the hardware realization.
