Objective: Each terminology has twofold meaning. Chinese character has several meanings because it is phonogram. Even if exactly same in shapes but the meaning is different. We should be more careful about meaning of the character Fu(腑) in Huangdineijing. Method: We try to find out the meaning of fu excluding meaning of fu(腑), edema(腑腫) in Huangdineijing. Result: Fu means fermented food, edema, sticking, skin, top side of the foot and so on. Conclusion: Someone who have concern traditional medical classics have to give attentions that characters in classics could get different meanings in same character.

Objective: 『Sikryochanyo』written by Jeon Soonyi is the first food-Therapy book at Korea. In 『Sikryochanyo』, there are many kinds of food-Therapy including Five-Vegetable therapy. Method: We will try to find out cases of food-therapy with Five-Vegetable in 『Sikryochanyo』. Result: In 『Sikryochanyo』, Five-Vegetable were treated as materia medica widely. Green onion, one of Five-Vegetable as materia medica was the major in use and porridge or soup were the major in frquency. Conclusion: On several types of Five-Vegetable, such as parts or whole, methods to make, the prescription shape etc., there are plenty of usage with its own effectiveness.

Objective : 『Shinchanbyeokonbang』(printed in 1613) was written by Heo Joon, who is an author of 『Dongeuibogam』(also printed in 1613). Even though 『Dongeuibogam』 has 「Onyeok」(chapter for pestilence), Heo Joon wrote technical book for pestilence as name as 『Shinchanbyeokonbang』. Therefore, we try to compare 『Shinchanbyeokonbang』 with 『Dongeuibogam』「Onyeok」. Method : We compared formation and contents of 『Shinchanbyeokonbang』 with 『Dongeuibogam』「Onyeok」. Result : 『Shinchanbyeokonbang』 has entirely new contents than 『Dongeuibogam』「Onyeok」 in somehow, almost contents of 『Dongeuibogam』 「Onyeok」 are in 『Shinchanbyeokonbang』 though. Also 『Shinchanbyeokonbang』 reorganized prescrptions for pestilence not only in 『Dongeuibogam』 「Onyeok」 but also in 『Dongeuibogam』 ; 「Han」, 「Hwangdal」, 「Hwa」, 「Yinhoo」, 「Hyeol」, 「Seup」 and 「Sasoo」. Conclusion : 『Shinchanbyeokonbang』 was printed by Heo Joon at the same time when 『Dongeuibogam』 was printed in 1613. However, 『Shinchanbyeokonbang』 has newly formation and contents is some aspects comparing to 『Dongeuibogam』「Onyeok」, which is the similar chapter for pestilence because this book is the technical book for pestilence.

Objective : Processing of medicinals are one of the most important part in medicinal treatment. However, in text books, there are disagreements and several terms with same meanings. Method : We tried to compare the processing of medicinals in text book, Bonchohak especially in exterior-releasing medicinal and heat-clearing medicinal. Results : The terms of processing of medicinals in introductions of text book, Bonchohak are different from those in an itemized discussion of exterior-releasing medicinal and heat-clearing medicinal. Conclusion : The terms of processing of medicinals in text book, Bonchohak should be reorganized and improved to make be clear and sure as a text book.

Objective : The field of specialty in medicine origins from general or comprehensive theories of medicine. "Mokgwaillam" is a book of ophthalmology. However, its contents are from "Dongeuibogam" "Ahn" We need to compare "Mokgwaillam" with "Dongeuibogam" "Ahn" and find out how they are different or similar. Method : Contents comparison between "Mokgwaillam" and "Dongeuibogam" "Ahn" was conducted in contents movement, deletion, transformation and so on. Result : The most content of "Mokgwaillam" derived from "Dongeuibogam" "Ahn" even though "Mokgwaillam" adjusted several parts of "Dongeuibogam" "Ahn" as a book of ophthalmology. Conclusion : Because "Mokgwaillam" contents are not outright and remarkable in ophthalmology field, "Mokgwaillam" has its limit. On the contrast, we suggest that "Mokgwaillam" could represents speciating ophthalmology field in Traditional Korean Medicine. The reason is that "Mokgwaillam" tried to remake "Dongeuibogam" "Ahn" contents as a ophthalmologic book in some aspects ; contents movement, deletion, transformation and so on.
『의문보감(醫門寶鑑)』 「요통문(腰痛門)」에 대한 고찰

Objectives : "Euimoonbogam" is well known as similar as "Dongeuibogam" in some aspects. However, "Euimoonbogam" has its particular points comparing with "Dongeuibogam". Methods : We try to analyze "Low Back Pain" part by comparison "Euimoonbogam" and "Dongeuibogam". Results : "Euimoonbogam" intended to make contents clear. Causes, ways of classification, treatments and prescriptions of disease are simplified. There are no mention for pulse, massage and acupuncture methods. However, "Euimoonbogam" has author(Ju Myungsin)'s experiences and more. Conclusions : "Euimoonbogam" is similar to "Dongeuibogam" but it has author's opinion in various fields.

Objective : The study was performed to investigate prescriptions, herbal drugs, how to make of external ointment treatment in "Dongeuibogam". Method : I will try to find out external ointment treatment in "Dongeuibogam" using a word, Go(膏). Result : 1. The external ointment has been widely used medical diseases as well as sugical diseases. 2. The same prescription name to have different information was written by other people. 3. Various kinds of medicinal herbs, minerals, anlmals were used and type of oil or juice was used to dissolve these. 4. Methods to make the external ointment were to grind medicines or melt medicine. 5. The external ointment was used to put in eyes or to push into wound and rubed the skin. Conclusion : Go(膏) In "Dongeuibogam" are external ointment treatment when they are used at skin. However, they are used as internal medicine in other side so we might be careful to use Go(膏) for medicine.

Objective: Wangbing annotated『Suwen』through the method of book-quotation.『Lingshu』is the one in quotation. It is objective that『Lingshu』quotated by Wangbing and existing『Lingshu』are identical. Method:『Lingshu』quotated by Wangbing and existing『Lingshu』are compared. Result: 5 quotations out of 94 quotations of『Lingshu』are not in existing『Lingshu』, 11 quotations are different and 5 quotations are from『Suwen』. Conclusion: It is supposed that several types of『Lingshu』could be existed when Wangbing wrote annotated『Suwen』
