        미야자키 하야오의 <센과 치히로의행방불명>에 나타난 성장서사 연구 - 어머니상의 통합과 자아 통합을 중심으로

        The purpose of this paper is to analyze the characteristics of the growth narrative in Miyazaki Hayao’s <The Spiriting Away of Sen and Chihiro>. <The Spiriting Away of Sen and Chihiro> is an animation that represents the unconscious layer of growth through the narrative based on a fantasy. The main character, Chihiro, enters the world of unconsciousness and fantasy where the real parents disappear by becoming pigs. It’s Yubaba and Geniba who take place of mother in the fantasy world. The journey of Chihiro from Yubaba’s spa to Geniba’s house can be interpreted as the unification of the divided mother in the dimension of unconsciousness. According to the theory of Melanie Klein, this unification would represent the movement from ‘the paranoid-schizoid position’ in which the infant perceives his or her mother as split into ‘good breast’ and ‘bad breast’ to ‘depressive position’ in which the infant perceives the mother as a whole person. Chihiro grows up by overcoming the crisis through the process of unifying the mother divided into Yubaba and Geniba. She also establishes her subjectivity through labor in Yubaba’s spa. In the fantasy world where a child can work equally with adults, she gains the power to overcome the crisis as well as to keep her name -symbol of identity- through labor that helps others. Finally, Chihiro’s growth is characterized by communication and rela- tionship, not by confrontation and conflict. The process of expanding self by embracing antagonist rather than acquiring identity by struggling with enemy is a characteristic of Chihiro’s growth. In particular, Bo, Yubird, and Kaonashi, who accompany her journey to visit Geniba, are the various facets of unconsciousness that she must integrate for her growth. As the integration of self is only possible through the uni- fication of the mother, these two sides of growth are closely related.

        <김씨네 편의점>에 나타난 인종 스테레오타입 해체 양상 연구

        이 글의 목적은 캐나다 시트콤 <김씨네 편의점(Kim's Convenience)>에 나타난 인종 스테레오타입 해체 양상을 분석하는 것이다. 캐나다에서 편의점을 운영하는 한인 가족의 일상을 소재로 한 <김씨네 편의점>은 소수인종으로서 경험하게 되는 스테레오타입의 문제를 다양한 방식으로 드러내고 그것에 도전한다. 이런 도전이 가능한 것은 <김씨네 편의점>에 나오는 미스터 김의 가족 구성원들이 캐나다 다문화사회 내 소수인종으로서 문화와 인종, 종교, 언어 등 다양한 카테고리들이 이합집산하는 경계에 위치해 있기 때문이다. <김씨네 편의점>은 평상시에는 잘 드러나지 않는 스테레오타입이 드러나는 순간들을 포착하여 그것을 농담 혹은 역이용의 대상으로 삼는 주인공들을 보여줌으로써 스테레오타입에 균열을 가한다. 또한 가족서사를 통해 아버지와 남편으로서 미스터 김의 다양한 감정과 경험들을 보여줌으로써 그에게 평면적인 ‘아시아인’이 아닌 입체적이고 살아있는 캐릭터를 부여한다. This paper analyzes the deconstruction of racial stereotypes in the Canadian sitcom Kim's Convenience. The sitcom, based on the daily life of a Korean family who run a convenience store in Toronto, reveals and challenges the stereotypes experienced by minorities in various ways. The challenge is possible because Mr. Kim 's family, as a minority in a Canadian multicultural society, are located at the intersection of various categories such as culture, race, religion and language. Kim's Convenience captures the moments when hidden stereotypes are revealed, and makes fissures in them by showing main characters who joke about them or take advantage of them. The sitcom also presents the round, dynamic character of Mr. Kim, not a flat Asian stereotype, through a family narrative that reveals Mr. Kim's diverse feelings and experiences as a father and a husband.

        박솔뫼의 재난서사에 나타난 생태의식 연구 - 원전 사고 이후를 그린 작품들을 중심으로

        The purpose of this article is to analyze the criticism of modern industrial civilization and ecological thought in Park Solmoe’s “Stumbling Toward the Dark Night,” “Every Afternoon We” and “Winter’s Eyes”. These works, which depict the virtual future after the Kori nuclear accident, can be read as criticism of anti-ecological society based on modernity. This paper analyzed this criticism of modernity and ecological thought in three aspects. First, these works, by unrealistic situation or gloomy daily life, represent the world in which the familiar reality disappears and the human existence itself is threatened. And by specifying that the cause of the disaster is the nuclear accident, it implies an ecological thought which criticize the present society. Second, these works criticize the modern industrial civilization by clearly suggesting that the disaster that makes the future disappear is a result of blind economic development aimed at ‘developed countries’. Third, against the violent economic development and modern ideology of progress, the characters of these works choose rambling without purpose and going to theater. They meet with the ruined world and regain solidarity with it through purposeless rambling, and participate in reality and form community through the theater. In these works, rambling and theater have a positive meaning against the ideals of development and progress. This analysis is an attempt to find a form of ecological thinking that is latent in 21st century Korean literature, which is called the postmodern era. 이 글은 박솔뫼의 「어두운 밤을 향해 흔들흔들」, 「우리는 매일 오후에」, 「겨 울의 눈빛」에 나타난 근대 산업문명 비판과 생태 의식을 분석하는 것을 목적 으로 한다. 고리 원전 사고 이후 가상의 미래를 그린 이 작품들은 과학과 경제 개발을 기반으로 한 근대 산업문명에 대한 비판으로 읽힐 수 있으며, 이런 점에서 생태계 파괴를 비롯한 현재 세계의 전반적 위기의 원인을 근대 산업문명 으로 보는 생태주의적 사고와 맥을 같이 한다. 본고는 이러한 근대 비판과 생태 의식을 세 가지 측면에서 분석하였다. 첫째, 이 작품들은 원전 사고 이후 익숙한 현실이 사라지고 인간 실존 자체가 위협받는 세계를 환상적 상황 혹은 암울한 일상을 통해 그리고 있으며, 이런 재난의 원인이 원전사고임을 명시함 으로써 현실 비판적인 생태 의식을 내포한다. 둘째, 이 작품들은 세계 종말을 미래 실종이라는 관점으로 제시하고, 그 근본적 원인으로서 산업문명의 폭력적 경제 개발을 비판하고 있다. 아울러 미래를 사라지게 만든 원전 사고를 근대 산업문명의 필연적 귀결로 제시함으로써 근대 산업문명을 비판하는 생태의식을 드러낸다. 셋째, 이 작품들의 등장인물들은 목적 없는 산책을 통해 폐허가 된 세계와 다시 만나고 인간 중심주의적 근대에는 불가능한 방식으로 세계와의 연대를 회복한다. 또한 직접 목격이나 증언이 아닌 극장이라는 매개를 통해 현실에 참여하고 공동체를 형성한다. 이들의 산책과 극장 가기는 폭력적 경제 발전과 근대적 진보 이념에 대한 무위의 저항으로 해석된다. 이상의 분석은 박솔뫼의 작품에 대한 미시적 이해를 심화하는 동시에 포스트모더니즘, 탈근대의 시대로 불리는 21세기 한국 문학에 잠재되어 있는 생태적 사유의 한형태를 찾아보려는 시도이다.

        영화 <벌새>에 나타난 상실과 소통의 성장서사

        This study examines the meaning of initiation in the film House of Hummingbird from the perspective of growth narrative, along with the context of Korean social reality in the 1990s, and traces the sociocultural context represented in the personal experiences of the main character. It also analyse the meaning of this sociocultural context from the perspective of today. The experience of loss and the will of communion in the film are both personal and social, and they acquire universality that is valid even today, based on the common experience of Korean society in 1990s. In the film, school and apartment in 1994’s Daechidong are depicted as a violent world dominated by capitalism and patriarchy which are intimately connected to one another. The protagonist Eun-hee’s difficulties in relationship with family and friends, as well as the experience of surgery, can be summed up in terms of loss. In the context of a growth narrative, these experiences of loss can be interpreted as a symbolic process of transition and initiation. The death of Yong-ji, due to the collapse of Seong-su Bridge, connects the disaster of social dimension with Eun-hee’s personal loss. In these losses and trials, solidarity with others is important support for Eun-hee to accept the losses and grow up. Support and sympathy from others who are not bound by duty or kinship, give her a desire to support others and communicate with them in her turn by creating cartoons. This will of communion is a result showing that Eun-hee, who was passive and alienated at the beginning, has reconciliated with the hostile world and grown into a person open to others. The narrative of the film, which shows the process of growing toward solidarity and communion passing through the experience of loss in a violent world, summons the social context of the 1990s through the individual's past. It also presents a type of female growth narrative motivated by creation.

        농업기상재해 위험 관리를 위한 농장별 조기경보서비스의 비용편익 분석

        This study aims to suggest the basics for the implementation of the farmstead-specific early warning system (FEWS) for weather risk management nationwide. A survey by questionnaire was conducted to examine farmer's response, and a cost-benefit analysis was made to examine the effect of the FEWS on the economy. The farmers who volunteered to participate in this survey responded that they were generally satisfied with the FEWS, and that they used it well for farming. Willingness to pay (WTP) for the early warning service was estimated to be 8,833 KRW per month by survey respondents. If the early warning service is extended to nationwide and 50% of farmers use it for six months, then the ratio of benefit to cost will be 2.2, indicating that nationwide expansion of the FEWS is very feasible.

      • 2P-171 Study of detecting sensitivity to Cadmium Ions (Cd<sup>2+</sup>) by Gold-Silica Nanocomposites (GNP-SiO<sub>2</sub>) with diverse surface area of Silica

        Contamination of groundwater by heavy metal ions has been an issue in environmental. Many factories have to deal with purification facilities before draining the polluted solution off. However there are leakage risks of a little heavy metal though fine purification is treated. Therefore detecting method for heavy metal in groundwater is needed even if its concentration is very small. We used GNP-SiO<sub>2</sub> to detect Cd<sup>2+</sup> since GNP has colorimetric property which changes its color by aggregating each other and high porous silica has an advantage to absorb metal ion. GNP-SiO<sub>2</sub> are prepared by reaction of GNP and silica modified by thiol group. Cd<sup>2+</sup> detecting test was conducted with GNP-SiO<sub>2</sub> on different concentration condition of Cd<sup>2+</sup>. Then degree of contamination was observed as color change of GNP-SiO<sub>2</sub>. Moreover we studied sensitivity contrast in detecting by using silica having diverse surface area. The samples were confirmed by FTIR, UV-Spectra, BET, SEM and TEM.

      • 2P-157 Fabrication of Nano Porous Silica Aerogel-Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) Insulation Film

        The silica aerogel is a suitable material to apply for insulation material with lower thermal conductivity than that of air to save energy. However expensive precursor and drying process were the main issues of the silica aerogel synthesis. Therefore, we demonstrate an ecofriendly route toward silica-PDMS insulation film with low thermal conductivity under ambient pressure. Silica aerogel was synthesized from rice husk ash, which was an agricultural waste to be able to recycle. The silica aerogel is prepared by sol-gel processing and obtained by modification of silica hydrogel surface and dry at ambient pressure. Finally, aerogel film was respectively fabricated by the different content with aerogel in PDMS. Silica aerogel particle size was analyzed by Scanning electron microscope and silica aerogel with high surface area (832.26 m²/g) was characterized by Brunauer Emmett Teller. Then thermal conductivity of silica Aerogel-PDMS insulation film was analyzed by thermal wave system.
