        백두산의 딕티오형 세포성 점균

        The occurrence and distribution of dictyostelid cellualr slime molds were investigated in forests of Mt. Paektu. Fourteen species were isolated from forest soils of thirteen sites as follows Dictyostelium minutum, D. brefeldianum, D. crassicaule, D. capitatum, D. mucoroides var. stoloniferum, D. macrocephalum, D. mucoroides, D. septentrionalis, D. purpureum, D. aureo-stipes, P. violaceum, P. pallidum and two unidentified speceis. Mean total clones and species found were 4,415.69 No./g and 2.92, respectively. Dominant species were D. minutum, D. brefeldianum and D. crassicaule in this study area, and first widespread species was D. minutum. All sepecies that found in Mt. Paektu were isolated from forests of South Korea. But dominant species was different from those of South Korea. Total clones and species were more in subalpine Eurya japonica than in low elevated abies nephrolepis. It was thought that distribution of dictyostelids was related to soil microenvironments by vegetation, not or not more elevation.

        생물 분야 과학 영재들의 학습 양식에 대한 조사 연구

        This study is to investigate the learning styles of science gifted/talented (G/T) students. Subjects are fifty-one science G/T students in biology, which are learners of Science Education Institute for the Gifted. Learning Style Profile (LSP) was used as instrument to survey learning style of G/T students in biology, which was developed by NASSP(National Association of Secondary Style Principals), and consists of four categories (cognitive skills, perceptual response, orientation and learning preference) and twenty-four subscales. Biology G/T students have the highest score of memory skill, and higher scores of spatial skill and sequential processing skill, but they have lower scores of discrimination skill and categorization skill than other skills. The score in afternoon of study time preference is higher, and that of grouping preference is lower. That is suggested that they prefer to learn in the afternoon and individually to in group. There are no remarkable subscales in perceptual response and orientation categories, but they have some higher scores of emotive perceptual response and persistence orientation. The results of t-test by gender showed that female G/T students have significantly higher scores of memory skill and emotive perceptual response than males.

        생물 예비 교사들의 생명 공학 기술에 대한 인식 조사 연구

        The purpose of this study was to survey pre-service biology teachers' perceptions about biotechnology. The instrument consisted 26 items which were 5-point Lickert scale. Subjects were 107 sophomore and junior students, who were enrolled in universities of Chungcheong, Daegu and Kyeognam provinces. The study revealed that pre-service biology teachers' perceptions were positive toward the use of biotechnology on biological objects such as plants, grains, microbes and animals. However, their perceptions were negative toward the use of biotechnology on humans. The study also revealed that pre-service biology teachers had positive perceptions about the use of biotechnology in the development of beneficial products. Regarding the reliability of biotechnological information acquired from university professors and biologists, they tended to be positive. They perceived that the use of biotechnology should not be affected by religious and ethical problems, even though they perceived that the use of biotechnology should be considered with food safety and genetic factors of microbes. Thus, the results of this study suggested that the development of teaching contents and programs about related to biotechnology be promoted in order to enhance pre-service biology teacher's performance and teaching contents and programs should be developed for them in biology teacher education.

      • 과학적 연구 기반 과학영재 사사교육 프로그램 개발

        This paper suggested a scientific research based mentoring model(SRMM) for the gifted in scienceeducation. SRMM for the gifted focused on experiment-based scientific proceses in laboratory andresearch experiences of scientists. The SRMM has six phases such as introducing, exploring, planning,performing, verifying and concluding, which is final phase and includes discussing about results,presenting its implications and writing paper. The model can facilitate scientifically gifted students toconstruct scientific knowledges and comprehension of laboratory practice through concrete experimentalexperiences. It can motivate them to be able to use and extend scientific knowledges and laboratoryexperiences. Challenging tasks and feedback at the requisite stage of each phases can improveinstructional effectiveness. The educational potentials of SRMM were examined by applying to thegifted and talented students of Science Education Institute for the Gifted, Kongju National University,Korea. The educational program using SRMM was applied in biology and its topic was “The Effectsof Aqueous Extracts from Eupatorium rugosum Houtt. on Early Protein Pattern of Lettuces andRadishes”. Its application suggested that the educational program using SRMM can be effective for thescientifically gifted students.

        과학중점학교 졸업생의 과학중점학교 운영에 대한 인식 조사

        The purpose of this study was to examine the cognition of graduates from science core schools about managing science core schools. The subjects were 328 graduates of science core schools, who entered the university in 2013 and 2014. The survey consisted thirty-three items, which were categorized into three components as follows: satisfaction with the management of science core school, effect on career choice, and contribution to university studies. On the survey, graduates from science core schools were asked to answer on 5-point Lickert scales (from 1 to 5) what they thought about managing science core schools according to the above three components. They had very positive cognition about satisfaction with the management of science core school, the effect on career choice, and the contribution to university studies. The results showed that the curriculum and programs of science core schools contributed to their graduates' selection of a school career and to their study of subjects in their departments at their universities. 본 연구는 과학중점학교 운영에 대한 과학중점학교 졸업생의 인식을 조사하고자 하였다. 2013년과 2014년에 과학중점학교를 졸업하고 대학에 진학한 328명의 학생들을 대상으로 과학중점학교 운영에 대한 인식 조사를 위해 설문을 실시하였다. 조사 도구는 33개 문항으로 구성되어 있으며, 과학중점학교 운영에 대한 만족도, 진로 선택에 미치는 영향, 대학 공부에 대한 기여도 등 3개 영역으로 범주화하였다. 그 결과, 과학중점학교 졸업생들은 학교 운영 만족도, 진로 선택에 미친 영향, 대학 전공 공부에 대한 기여 등 모든 문항에 대해 매우 긍정적인 인식을 갖는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 과학중점학교의 교육과정이나 교육 프로그램이 진로 선택 뿐 아니라 현재 재학 중인 학과를 수학하는 데에도 크게 기여한다고 할 수 있다.

        제 7차 교육과정 과학과 생명영역의 학습 내용 분석: 자극과 반응 단원을 중심으로

        This study is to investigate the vertical connection of learning contents related to stimuli and response presented in life field of science textbooks developed under the 7th curriculum. Three kinds of middle and high science textbooks were selected to analyse the levels of science learning concepts and the inquiry types, process skills and context inquiry activities. 146 concrete concepts and 66 formal ones were presented in middle school science textbooks, and 160 concrete and 79 formal concepts were in high school ones. The number of concepts was much different by publisher, and more concepts were presented in high school science textbooks than in middle school ones. Inquiry activities related to stimuli and response were much more in middle school than high school, but more ones per school hour were presented in high school science textbooks. Types, processes and skills, and context of inquiry were not balanced according to publishers and school levels. Thus, it was concluded that learning concepts and inquiry activities should be constructed on the connection among them in developing science curriculum and textbooks considering cognitive level of learner.

        중학교 생물 영역의 학습 주제별 수업 모형 적용 효과에 대한 비교 연구 1: 광합성

        Purposes of this study are to investigate the effects of science teaching models on photosynthesis, and to select efficient teaching models among hypothesis-testing, learning cycle and science-technology-society(STS) models. The subjects were 209 the eighth graders of six girls' middle school classes in Chungchungnam-do. To examine their effects of application to class, the levels of biology achievements and inquiry consideration were analysed. STS and hypothesis-testing teaching model were much more efficient than the others on the achievement of photosynthesis, and hypothesis-testing, learning cycle and science-technology-society(STS) models effected on the improvement of biology inquiry considerations. These results suggested that different teaching models should be applied by learning topics or experiments of biology.

        사이버 상에서 과학 영재들을 위한 새로운 교육 방법 및 프로그램 개발 연구

        본 연구에서는 영재들을 위한 원격교육프로그램을 개발하여 영재교육센터 생들을 대상으로 교육적 효과와 활용 가능성을 파악하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 새로운 원격교육 프로그램은 싸이언스 사이버 컨퍼런스(Science Cyber Conference), 일명 심박의 싸컨(ShimPark's Ssacon)으로 과학영재들을 위한 통합과학적 원격교육 프로그램이다. 본 사이버 교육 프로그램은 과학적으로 문제를 접근하고 그에 대한 해결과정을 스스로 고안하고 해결한 결과에 대한 다른 사람들과 상호작용을 통해 검증하고 비판적으로 사고하는 능력을 발휘함은 물론 능력 배양을 위한 것이다. 또한, 웹을 기반으로 한 자유로운 탐색과 문제를 창안하고 해결하는 일련의 과정을 홈페이지 게시판, 토론방, 대화방, 전자우편을 통해 사이버 상에서 모든 활동이 이루어지는 일종의 자기 주도적 프로젝트형 교수-학습 프로그램이라 할 수 있다. 싸이언스 사이버 컨퍼런스의 운영을 통한 교육적 효과에 대한 검토는 참여자의 보고서와 참여자들에 대한 면담을 통해 이루어졌으며, 새로운 교수-학습 방법으로서의 가능성을 확인하였다. Present paper describes on the development of a new virtual program for science learning, and an exploration of it's application to science education. In addition, the method of teaching and loaming activities for science is suggested. The new type program is called Science Cyber Conference(that is Shimpark's Ssacon). It is developed to improve the abilities of inquiry and the scientific reasoning by planning on the investigation, arranging the data, synthesizing the results, and concluding and presenting one's opinions. On cyber environment, discussing about and communicating opinions and data investigated, are performed for special topic through chatting room, discussing room and electronic mailing, and totally synthesis and discussion about special inquiry topic at cyber conference day.
