Methylprednisolone Acetate를 이용한 고립성 골낭종의 치료

We treated 19 cases of unicameral bone cysts with methylprednisolone acetate (MPA) from January 1988 to December 1995. We evaluated the effect of MPA injections through simple follow-up radiographs according to Oppenheim's, classification and retrospectively reviewed the sites of cyst, age of the patients at diagnosis, the incidence of pathologic fracture, cystic nature, and cystic proximiy to the growth plate, We then analyzed the relationship between these variables with the results of MPA injections. According to Oppenheim's classification, the results with the use of MPA injections were as follows: healed in six cases, improved in seven cases, incomplete obliteration in five cases and recurred in one case, If healed and improved were considered satisfactory results, then 13 cases(68.4%) were satisfactory at the last follow-up. Sites of cyst, age of the patients at diagnosis, incidence of pathologic fracture, cystic nature and cystic proximiy to the growth plate appeared not to influence the results of MPA injections statistically. On these data, we thought that the treatment of unicameral bone cysts with MPA injection was the most effective first choice of treatment before operative options such as curettage and bone graft.
보중익기탕가오가피(補中益氣湯加五加皮)가 항피로(抗疲勞)에 미치는 영향(影響)

Objects : This experiment was performed into investigate the effects of Bojungikgitang(Buzhongyiqitang) and BojungikgitanggaOgapi(Buzhongyiqitangjiawujiapi) on the recovery of fatigue in the swimming loaded rats by the lactic acid levels, creatine phosphokinase(CPK) activities, lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) activities and glucose levels, which are known as materials related to fatigue in blood. Methods : On one hour before swimming exercise, the extracts of Bojungikgitang(Buzhongyiqitang) and BojungikgitanggaOgapi(Buzhongyiqitangjiawujiapi) were orally administered to the rats(Sprague-Dawley) which had been in the environment controlled rearing system for 2 weeks, and the control group were fed with equal amount of normal saline. And the lactic acid levels, creatine phosphokinase(CPK) activities, lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) activities and glucose levels in blood in rats were measured immediately and at thirty minutes after swimming exercise. Results : 1. The lactic acid levels in BojungikgitanggaOgapi(Buzhongyiqitangjiawujiapi) group were decreased immediately after exercise and statistically showed the significant difference compared with the control group(P<0.05). 2. The creatine phosphokinase(CPK) activities in Bojungikgitang(Buzhongyiqitang) group were decreased immediately after exercise and statistically showed the significant difference compared with the control group(P<0.05), and in BojungikgitanggaOgapi(Buzhongyiqitangjiawujiapi) group were decreased immediately and at 30 minites after exercise and statistically showed the significant difference compared with the control group(P<0.05). 3. Lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) activities and glucose levels in Bojungikgitang(Buzhongyiqitang) group and BojungikgitanggaOgapi(Buzhongyiqitangjiawujiapi) group did not show the significant difference compared with the control group. Conclusion : Based on the above results, we know that Bojungikgitang(Buzhongyiqitang) and BojungikgitanggaOgapi(Buzhongyiqitangjiawujiapi) have effects on the recovery of fatigue.
