        고주파 강조필터를 이용한 의료영상의 화질향상을 위한 최적화 방법

        의료영상의 화질이 진단의 정확성에 중요한 요소이다. 그러므로 의료영상의 화질을 향상시킬 수 있는 방법들이 연구되어져 왔다. 그 중에서 주파수 도메인 필터가 영상의 화질을 향상시킬 수 있는 강력한 도구이다. 본 논문에서는 X선 의료영상에 기존의 고주파통과 필터에 최적값을 적용해서 에지영역을 개선하였고, 결과영상에 기존의 고주파 강조 필터에 최적값을 사용하여 에지영역 및 평탄영역의 대비를 향상시켰다. 마지막으로, 최소평균제곱오차필터를 사용해서 결과영상에 잡음을 최소화했다. 결과적으로, 제안된 방법이 기존 필터들에 비해서 영상의 대비와 에지부분들을 향상시켰으며, 더불어 잡음제거의 효과를 보였다. The visual quality of medical image is an important factor for diagnosis accuracy. Therefore, the methods to improve the quality of medical image have studied. Among them, frequency domain filter is very powerful method to impove the visual quality of image. In this paper, the X-ray medical image using optimized high-pass filter was improved edges. The result image was improved edge and contrast of flat area using optimized high frequency emphasis filter. At last, the result image is to minimize the noise using the minimum mean square error(MMSE) filter. As a result, the proposed method has enhanced contrast and edge of the image in the contrast of existing filters, with the noise canceling effect.

        사춘기전 제1형 당뇨병 환아의 24시간 소변 성장 호르몬, 혈청 인슐린양 성장인자-I 및 인슐린양 성장인자 결합단백-3의 변화 및 성장에 미치는 영향 : 정상 사춘기전 소아에서의 비교

        Background: The growth hormone - insulin-like growth factor-I(GH/IGF-I) axis and the insulin nutrition axis constitute two major anabolic hormone systems that interact at varous levels. It is well established that patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus have elevated GH levels and inappropriate low IGF-I for high GH levels. Such a deranged GH/IGF-I axis may complicate the somatic growth of children with diabetes. The purpose of this study assess the nature of deranged GH/IGF-I axis and the effect on somatic growth. Methods: In the present study, serum levels of IGF-I and IGFBP-3 were measured in 31 prepubertal children with type 1 DM (age, 8.93.1yr) and were compared with those levels in children with normal short stature (control) (age, 8.4+-2.5 yr). Results: In diabetic patients, age-adjusted serum levels of IGF-I and IGFBP-3 were significantly lower than those in controls (p$lt;0.05). The difference of serum levels of IGF-I and IGFBP-3 between diabetic patients and control increased with chronologic age. There was no difference in 24-h urinary GH (24-h uGH) excretion between diabetic patients and normal controls. Simple regression analysis reveled no correlation between height SDS (standard deviation score)and HbA, (average 7.4%), IGF-I, IGFBP-3, urinary growth hormone, and chronological age. But height SDS had a tendency to decrease with the duration of diabetes, but without statistical significance. In diabetic patients, the 24-h uGH expressed as ng/24 h was correlated with chronologic age, IGF-I, and IGFBP-3, but such correlation was not obsc:rved when the 24-h uGH was expressed as ng/g creatinine In the control group, the 24-h u(GH was expressed as ng/24 h, correlated with only IGFRP-3. Conclusion: The growth impairment during puberty (which may be dependent on the degree of blood glucose control), rather than during prepuberty is probably responsible for the reduced final adult height in diabetic patients. This might be partly due to a relatively good blood glucose ontrol during prepubertal period. More importantly, it is suggested that this reduced final adult height comes from a gradual decrease in IGF-I and IGFBP-3 levels for long period during diabetes, regardless of the 24-h urinary growth hormone excretion.

        1985-2000년에 15세 미만 한국인에서 발생한 1형 당뇨병의 역학적 특징

        Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) develops in genetically susceptible individuals as a result of progressive autoimmune destruction of beta cells. There is a large global variation in incidence among children aged 0-14 years. The incidence of T1DM in Korea is very low. The latest survey in Korea was conducted in 2001 by the Korean Society of Pediatrics to analyze childhood (0-14 years) nation-wide incidence during 1995-2000. The average childhood incidence (/100,000-year) was 1.36 (95% CI, 1.23-1.48), higher than 1.06 in Korea in 1994. This survey reported that higher mean annual incidence was observed in females (girls, 1.67 vs. boys 1.07), older age groups (10-14 years, 1.98; 5-9 years, 1.43; 0-4 years, 0.73), Kangwon-do (2.09) and Seoul (1.99), and also that more new cases developed in the spring (spring, 27.1%; winter, 26.6%, summer, 24.8%, autumn, 21.5%). The increase in childhood T1DM incidence has occurred in every region (4.0% in Asia, 3.2% in Europe during 1990-1999). Also, a steady increase in incidence was observed during 1985-2000 in Korea. These trends may be maintained or accelerated by environmental factors, known as triggers, modifiers, and promoters of T1DM occurrence. The rising incidence of T1DM suggests the need for continuous monitoring of incidence using standardized methods to plan or assess preventative strategies.

        최적화된 적응적 컨트라스트 기법을 이용한 의료영상의 증진

        The goal of image processing is to improve the perceptual aspect and visual appearance of images for human viewers. The objectives of image enhancement vary according to its specific application and an image enhancement techniques used for a specific objective may not be accepted in some other applications. In this paper we review some of conventional enhancement techniques, such as histogram shrink, equalization, and the conservative adaptive contrast enhancement filter. And also, The adaptive contrast enhancement filter has optimized the applied values of variables which is configured rightly the medical image field. In the postprocessing, we used the histogram equalization method. As a result, the inputs which used a medical images has enhanced the edges of a result images which has applied the proposed filter. And also, because of the postprocessing, the image outlines has been lightened. 영상처리의 목적은 관측자를 위해서 영상의 시각적인 일면을 증진하는 것이다. 영상증진의 목적은 특정 응용분야에 따라서 달라지며, 또한 특정 목적을 위해서 사용되는 영상 증진 기법들은 다른 응용분야에는 적용되지 못하는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 먼저 히스토그램 쉬링크 및 평활화, 보수적인 적응적 컨트라스트 증진 필터등에 대해서 살펴 보고져 한다. 그리고 적응적인 컨트라스트 증진 필터 기법을 의료영상에 맞게 구성하는 변수들의 적용값을 최적화했으며, 후 처리로 히스토그램 평활화 기법을 사용했다. 결과적으로 입력치인 의료영상들을 사용하여 적용한 결과 제안한 필터를 적용한 결과치 영상들의 에지가 강조됨을 보였고, 또한 후처리로 인해서 영상외형의 컨트라스트를 향상시켰다.

        성분화이상을 가진 유전적 남성에서 안드로겐 수용체 결합 측정법을 이용한 안드로겐 수용체

        Purpose : The development of external genitalia in genetic male is dependent on the transcriptional regulatory activity of dihydrotestosterone(DHT)-androgen receptor complex in the genital skin. The abnormality of androgen receptor encompasses a wide range of phenotypes. We investigated the androgen receptor binding capacity of genetic males with ambiguous genitalia(grade was determined by Prader grade) for the availability as screening test. Methods : The binding capacity of the androgen receptor was assessed in fibroblasts established from foreskin or pubic area skin of genetic male [normal control(n=5); Prader grade 2, 3(P23; n= 5); Prader grade 4, 5, 6(P456; n=4), Prader grade 7(P7; n=2)]. Results : There was no significant difference in averages of Bmax(maximum binding capacity) and Kd(equilibrium dissociation constant) of [3H]DHT to the androgen receptor between those of controls and P23. In P456, Bmax was decreased in two patients and Kd was increased in one patient. Bmax and Kd were normal in one patient. In P7, specific binding was not documented and compatible with androgen insensitivity syndrome. Conclusion : In genetic male with complete female phenotype without pubic hair(P7), the binding study may be useful as a diagnostic tool. But in genetic male with hypospadia(P23) or incomplete female phenotype(P456), the binding study is not useful as a diagnostic test. 목 적 : 유전적 남성에서 다이하이드로테스토스테론(DHT)에 대한 안드로겐 수용체의 결합능 검사가 외부 성기 모습의 이상을 보이는 환자에서 어느 정도 유용하게 쓰일 수 있는지 알아보기 위해 배위체-수용체 결합반응(ligand-receptor interaction) 검사를 시행하였다.방 법 : 유전적 남성 소아중에서 5명의 정상인, 5명의 요도하열(Prader 2, 3 등급), 모호한 성기(Prader 4, 5등급) 및 여성형 성기(Prader 6, 7등급, 음모 발달 있으면 6 등급)를 보이는 6명에서 귀두 포피 세포 혹은 치골부위 세포에서 섬유아세포를 배양하여 [3H] DHT에 대한 안드로겐 수용체의 최고 결합능(Bmax)과 결합친화도(Kd)를 검사하였다.

        최적화된 고주파 강조 필터를 이용한 의료영상의 개선

        영상개선을 위한 영상처리는 응용분야에 따라서 동일한 알고리즘이 각각 다르게 적용되므로 응용분야에 적합한 최적값이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 X선 의료영상분야에 고주파통과 필터를 적용해서 에지영역을 개선하였고, 결과영상에 상수승수와 오프셋을 더하여 에지영역 및 평탄영역의 컨트라스트를 향상시켰다. 그러므로, 의료영상을 최적화시키기 위해서는 고주파강조필터가 필요함을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 구체적인 최적화 변수값으로는 가우시안 고주파통과필터, 차단주파수의 거리=0.05, 오프셋=0.5 값이다. 마지막으로 이들 최적화 변수값을 적용시켜 시뮬레이션 한 결과, 제안된 방법이 기존 방법들에 비해서 영상의 컨트라스트와 에지부분들을 향상시켰다. The image process for image enhancement applies differently the same algorithm for each application. So, the optimized value for each application is required. In this paper, the X-ray medical image using a high-pass filter was improved edges. The result image was improved edge and the contrast of flat area using a constant multiplier and offset. Therefore, the high-frequency emphasis filter optimized for medical image is required. These optimized values are the gaussian high-pass filter, the distance of cutoff frequency=0.05 and offset=0.5. From the result of optimaized simulation, The proposed method has enhanced contrast and edge of the image in the contrast of existing mothods.
