마이토마이신, 덱사메타존, 사이클로스포린 0.05%가 인간 각막실질세포에 미치는 영향

Purpose: To investigate the biologic effect of mitomycin C, dexamethasone and cyclosporine A 0.05% on cultured human keratocytes in vitro. Methods: Human corneal keratocytes were exposed to a concentration of mitomycin C (0.05%), dexamethasone (0.05%) and cyclosporine A (0.05%) for a period of 3, 5, and 10 minutes. MTT-based colorimetric assay was performed to assess the metabolic activity of cellular proliferation and the concentration of type I procollagen COOH-terminal peptide (PIP) and laminin were measured. Cell damage was determined by using the lactate dehydrogenase (LDH) assay. Apoptotic response was evaluated utilizing flow cytometric analysis with Annexin V and propiodium iodide. Results: The inhibitory effect of cellular proliferation and cytotoxicity in cultured human keratocytes showed a time-dependent response in all drugs. The production of PIP and laminin showed a time-dependent response in cultured cells. Apoptosis was observed in flow cytometry after being treated with mitomycin C, dexamethasone and cyclosporine A. Cyclosporin A resulted in less apoptosis of keratocytes than mitomycin C and dexamethasone. Conclusions: The apoptotic response of mitomycin C, dexamethasone and cyclosporine A is associated with the inhibitory effect of human corneal keratocyte proliferation. To decrease corneal opacity, mitomycin C and dexamethasone were more effective than cyclosporine A in the present study. Additionally, a high concentration of cyclosporine A greater than 0.05% is necessary to lower corneal opacity. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2011;52(10):1215-1221

루드비히 에하르트(Ludwig Erhard)는 ‘나쁜 유럽인’인가?

이 논문은 서독의 총리 루드비히 에하르트가 유럽통합에 반대한 “나쁜 유럽인”이 었는가라는 물음을 해명하려는 목적을 가지고 있다. 에하르트가 1950년대 유럽통합 과정에 대하여 서독의 총리 아데나워의 중요한 비판자이자 대적자의 역할을 한 사실 을 부인할 수 없지만, 그는 6개국보다 큰 유럽을 지향하였고, 유럽의 기능적 통합을 원했다는 점에서 그가 유럽통합자체에 반대한 것은 아니었다. 총리 에하르트의 유럽 정치공동체를 창설하려는 유럽정치는 실패하였다. 무엇보다도 드골과 대립되는 에 하르트의 유럽구상 때문에 에하르트는 현실정치에서 자신의 유럽정치를 관철시킬 수 없었고 그것은 특히 드골이라는 벽 때문에 좌절하였다. 그의 유럽정치는 가시적 성과 없이 실패하였지만 유럽통합을 위한 에하르트의 정치적 노력은 진정성을 가지고 있었다. 따라서 에하르트를 “나쁜 유럽인”이라고 보는 시각은 역사적인 타당성을 가지고 있지 못하다. This paper aims to answer the question whether Ludwig Erhard was ‘a bad European’, who opposed to the European Integration. It is true that Erhard was an important critic and opponent of the chancellor Adenauer's european politics in the 1950s. He wanted a greater Europe than a Europe of Six and favored the functional integration of Europe. He wasn't against European integration itself. As a chancellor of West Germany, Erhard's European politics, which aimed to create the european political union, was unsuccessful. Above all, Erhard could not carry out his plan because of de Gaulle's european politics. Though Erhard's european politics failed without concrete results, his efforts for european integration were something serious. Therefore, the view that Erhard was a bad European should be revised.

피플- 온라인게임 소비자 권리 찾기 ‘출발점’될 것

하나의 산업이 올바르게 발전하기 위해서는 적절한 비판과 견제는 필수요소라 할 것이다. 특히 국내 디지털콘텐츠 산업의 핵심으로 떠오르고 있는 게임산업의 경우 순기능만큼이나 역기능이 크게 부각되고 있다는 측면에서 더욱 그러하다. 지난 1월 온라인게임 소비자들이 중심이 돼 국내 게임산업의 올바른 발전과 소비자의 권익을 위한‘온라인소비자연대’가 출범했다. 이번 온라인소비자연대의 출범은 그간 정부 정책과 게임업체 위주로 발전돼 온 온라인게임 산업에서 소비자들이 하나의 견제 세력으로 성장하는 계기가 될것으로 보인다. 소비자연대의 전현 대표를 만나 향후 활동계획을 들어봤다.

안와에 발생한 점액종 1예

Purpose: Orbital myxoma is an extremely rare tumor. To date, only a few cases have been reported in the literature. The present study reports a case of an orbital myxoma and demonstrates the clinical and histological features. Case summary: A 37-year-old woman presented with a painless movable mass in the orbital margin of the left eye. Computed tomography of the orbit revealed a sharply outlined solid mass, and an excisional biopsy was performed. The excised specimen consisted of a 17x9x10 mm3 brownish mass of scattered spindle cells and small vascular spaces in a fibromyxoid background. Immunohistochemically, the tumor cells were not immunoreactive for SMA, S-100 protein or CD34. Histopathologic examination revealed the tumor to be a myxoma. There was no mass lesion in computed tomography of the orbit, and no recurrence or complications were found one month after removal. Conclusions: When a patient presents with a painless and movable mass in the orbital area, orbital myxoma should be considered as a possible diagnosis. The orbital myxoma with bone invasion should be completely removed to prevent the lesion from recurring. J Korean Ophthalmol Soc 2010;51(8):1142-1145

A case report of a surgical guide fabricated via intraoral scanning-based implant planning and wax-based rapid prototyping

With the recent progress of digital technology, the computer guided surgery utilizing a guide template in the placement of implant has been actively performed, and the method employing the intraoral scanner at the implant prosthesis introduced. Fabrication method of the guide template can be largely classified into design-related rapid prototyping (RP) system and vector milling system, and each of the method has its own weakness in the clinical application despite of excellent accuracy. Thus, in this case study, a working model was fabricated by the wax RP technology using images acquired by CBCT and an intraoral scanner, and the metal bushing was picked up with orthodontic resin cast upon the wax model. Using this method, a surgical guide template was fabricated and used in surgery. From this, we could obtain a satisfactory outcome clinically in the implant placement and the fabrication of the final prostheses and thus report this case herein. 최근 디지털 기술이 발달하면서 임플란트 식립 시 가이드 템플릿을 이용하는 컴퓨터 가이드 수술이 활발하게 이루어지고 있으며, 임플란트 보철시 구강스캐너를 이용하는 방법이 소개되고 있다. 가이드 템플릿의 제작방법은 크게 RP 제작 시스템과 벡터 밀링 시스템으로 나눌 수 있는데, 각각은 우수한 정확성에도 불구하고 임상적 적용에 있어 약간의 아쉬운 점을 보이고 있다. 이에 본 증례에서는 CBCT 및 구강스캐너로 획득한 디지털 영상을 이용하여 쾌속조형법으로 왁스재료의 작업모형을 제작하고 그 위에 교정용 레진으로 금속애관을 픽업해 내는 방법을 사용하여 임플란트 수술용 가이드 템플릿을 제작하여 수술에 사용하였으며, 임상적으로 임플란트 식립 및 최종보철물 제작 시 만족스러운 결과를 얻을 수 있어서 이를 보고하고자 한다.

유럽통합 연구사: 정치학과 역사학의 접근

이 논문에서 필자는 유럽통합 역사서술의 역사를 정리한 후 앞으로의 유럽통합 연구전망에 대한 소견을 제시하였다. 구체적으로 1950년대부터 최근에 이르기까지 유럽통합에 대한 학계의 다양한 접근법들이 분석되었다. 기존의 유럽통합사 연구에서 연구를 이끌어 갔던 학문분야는 정치학과 역사학이었기 때문에 이 논문에서는 정치학 분야와 역사학 분야에서 유럽통합 연구를 주도한 경향들을 분석하고 비판하였다. 정치학과 역사학이 유럽통합은 연구하는 접근법은 서로 상이하였다. 정치학자들은 이론적 틀을 가지고 유럽이 어떻게 그리고 왜 통합의 길을 걸어왔고 앞으로 어떻게 발전할 것인가 하는 문제들에 초점을 맞추었다. 반면 역사학들은 이론적 틀 없이 통합과정의 역사를 다루었다. 여기서 분석된 정치학 분야의 두 개의 중요한 이론은 신기능주의 이론과 자유주의적 정부간협력주의 이론이다. 역사학 분야에서는 유럽의 이상을 통합의 중요한 추동력으로 파악하였던 립겐스의 역사서술과 국민국가를 중요한 추동력으로 파악한 밀워드의 역사서술을 분석하였다. 정치학에서 최근의 연구 경향은 거대이론을 제시하려는 시도 대신에 유럽연합의 구체적 작동방식을 연구의 테마로 삼고 있다. 역사학에서의 최근의 연구경향은 사회사와 문화사의 영역으로 연구가 확장되었고, 유럽사회에 대한 관심이 늘고 있다. 유럽통합 연구에 있어서 정치학과 역사학의 통섭적인 소통이 여전히 요구되어지고 있다. In this article are historiography and future prospects of european integration studies summarized. The various studies about european integration from the second half of 1950s till today are here analysed. Because the political science and history have lead the trends of studies of european integration, this article analyse and criticize main studies in the political science and history. The political science and the history science has respectively different method of approaches. Political scientists have worked usually with theoretical framework. They have questioned how and why Europe has been integrated and what the future Europe will be. But historians are generally against theorizing. Without defined theory they have studied the development of european integration after the Second World War. Neofunctionalism and Liberal Intergovernmentalism as theories of politics are the two main theories here analysed. Walter Lipgens who saw european idea as a motor of european integration and Alan S. Milward who saw the nation-state as the most important force of european integration are the two important historians here focused on. In the studies of politics it has today given up to establish grand theory of european integration. Now political scientists focus their interests on the concrete modus operandi of European Union. In the historical studies the social and culture history recently interest in the development of european integration and the european society. The interdisciplinary studies between the political science and history are today more and more needed.
