도시 상업 공간은 성별에 따라 차별화된 특성을 가지며, 다양한 활용이 이루어진다. 그런데, 성별에 따른 도시 상업 공간의 특성 이해의 중요성에도 불구하고, 미시적 스케일에서 실증적 분석 연구가 제대로 이루어지지 못한 실정이다. 이러한 맥락에서 본 연구는 성별에 따른 도시 상업 공간의 탐색을 실증적으로 수행하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울시 신촌 지역과 이화여대 상업 지구를 대상으로, 건물의 투수성, 업종 분포와 공간 조직, 토지이용의 활용도를 중심으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 성별에 따라 남성 중심 업종은 주로 신촌 지역에, 여성 중심 업종은 이화여대 지역에 공간적으로 클러스터되어 있으며, 두 지구의 업종 분포의 차이는 성별에 따른 사회적 활동과 의미와 관련되어 있음을 확인하였다. Urban commercial space has differentiated characteristics by gender, and a variety of urban activities are performed in that space. Notwithstanding the importance of understanding characteristics of urban commercial space by gender, there had been little research in both empirical and quantitative ways. In this regard, the purpose of this paper is to explore the urban commercial space by gender quantitatively. For empirical analysis, Shin-chon and Ewha Womans University areas were analyzed in terms of building transparency, spatial distribution of business and spatial structure, and land use. From the results of the analysis, we could find that the business domain for males is mainly spatially clustered in Shin-chon area, while the business domain for females dominates Ewha Womans University area in a spatially clustered form. Furthermore, significant differences of the land use pattern between two areas are likely to be related with social activities by gender.
임신 중 저강도 유산소운동 유·무에 따른 새끼쥐의 PPARγ와 UCP2 mRNA의 발현량에 관한 연구

The purpose of this study is to investigate how low intensity aerobic exercise effects PPARY and UCP2 mRNA gene expression exercise for pregnant women. 7 week old ICR mice, male(n=:10), female(n=50), supplied by BIOKOREA were used in this study. After hybridization, pregnant mice were categorized into 2 groups depending on exercise; "non-exercise" group(n=20), "low -exercise" group(n=2ㅇ). A series of genetic tests were performed to identify PPAR-y and UCP2 mRNA gene expression producing the following results, the statistical changes were noted for PPAR-γ expression within muscle tissue when comparing the following groups; the "non~exercise" group and "exercise" group(/?<.05),Expression of PPAR-γ among the group according to the low intensity aerobic exercise. The low intensity aerobic exercise group is much higher than non-exercise group(p<.05). Expression of UCP2 mRNA among the group according to the low intensity aerobic exercise. The low intensity aerobic exercise group is much higher than non-exercise group(p<.05). Therefore, it brings positive changes in sensitivity on glycometabolism and blood insulin, effectiveness of metabolism, oxidation of fat which also shows that the increase in UCP2 mRNA was proven when low intensity aerobic exercises was done. If the point is increasing UCP2 mRNA more effectively on energy metabolism, low intensity aerobic exercise will have bigger impact on energy metabolism. Also, in terms of exercise prescription it is better to focus on quantity than intensity in order to grasp more on energy consumption, fetus.
도시 공간 구조에서 젠트리피케이션의 비판적 재고찰과 향후 연구 방향 모색

도시 공간의 역동성에서 젠트리피케이션은 교외화와 더불어 매우 중요한 연구 주제이다. 본 연구는 젠트리피케이션에 대한 논의의 비판적 재고찰을 통하여 향후 연구에 대한 방향을 모색하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 젠트리피케이션의 개념, Smith와 Ley를 중심으로 한 공급 측면과 수요 측면의 논의, 그리고 이들 간의 논쟁을 고찰하였다. 또한 최근 연구의 초점이 되고 있는 세계화와 다양한 국가의 젠트리피케이션, 이주와 소셜 믹스(Social Mix), 젠트리피케이션의 다양한 공간성, 신규 개발 젠트리피케이션 등의 주제를 검토하고, 이를 토대로 도시 공간의 역동성 이해, 다양한 젠트리피케이션 요인의 복합적 고려, 다양한 공간 스케일의 고려, 국내 도시 현상에의 적용 측면에서 향후 연구 방향을 제시하였다. In terms of dynamics of urban space, gentrification is very important research theme in company with suburbanization. The purpose of this paper is to critically review the discussion of gentrification, and then to suggest the direction for the future research. In order to do it, the concepts of gentrification, researches on gentrification in production-side and supply-side explanations, and debates between the two sides were critically reviewed. In addition, topics which have been the focus of attention such as globalization and gentrification worldwide, displacement and social mix, various spatiality of gentrification, and new-build gentrification were reviewed, and based on them, future research direction is suggested in terms of understanding dynamics of urban space, comprehensive consideration of various factors, consideration of various kinds of scales, and application to domestic urban phenomena.

Seattle as a coastal city, located in the US Northwest region, has developed with long history. Being popular with the image of Coffee and sightseeing, Seattle has a variety of characteristics in social, demographic, cultural, and economic perspectives. At the same time, Seattle’s urban space has diverse neighborhoods and multinucleated urban structures with economic clusters. Further, Seattle has dynamics and diversities summarized as follows: vibrant and creative urban landscape, home of coffee, environment-friendly urban landscape, and progressive and liberal ambience.Seattle as a coastal city, located in the US Northwest region, has developed with long history.
