The failures such as wear of brush, bearing defect, motor short and open caused by the electrical and mechanical operating for low and high actions of wiper motor. In this research, we have qualitatively selected the efficient test items through the analysis of the life and potential failures of wiper motor. The failures of wiper motor are related closely to the wiper system. So, wiper motor itself requires an estimation of life in order to operate the system safely. We have tested six wiper motors. Our research has applied operating torque of low and high speed for wiper motor, simultaneously for the life testing. The result is established by employing the weibull plot and compared the predicted life of wiper motor to the experimental result.

Reliability of automotive parts has been one of the most interesting fields in the automotive industry. Especially, blower motor driving blower for automobiles is important part because of sustaining grateful environment inside the car for the driver and the passengers. It is the small dc motor. Therefore, we have dealt with the reliability life test procedure of blower motor. The failures such as wear-out of brush, bearing damage, motor coil burnout are caused by the electrical and mechanical operating blower motor. In this research, we have qualitatively selected the efficient test items through the analysis of the life and potential failures of blower motor. So, blower motor itself requires an estimation of life causing failure of brush wear out in order to operate the system safely. We have carried out life test for blower motors. The result is established by employing the weibull plot. We calculated the life of blower motor to the experimental result.

Spill valve controller is the main components in GDI fuel pump for automotive, because it determines the pressure of the fuel and the vehicle fuel efficiency increase according to appropriately controlled spill valve. And HALT(Highly Accelerated Life Test) for spill valve has been one of the most interesting fields in part"s life for GDI fuel pump. Therefore HALT for GDI fuel pump has been researched in order to improve GDI fuel pump"s life. In this study, test environment was established as the structure of the fuel cycle. And how to test method of temperature and vibration was decided. In the result of test, spill valve was found to be sensitive the temperature more than vibration. And the supply current for the spill valve has changed according to temperature. Thus, characteristics of temperature and vibration for the valve were analyzed. And this study is expected to be a help to the study on the reliability for the spill valve.

Reliability of automotive parts has been one of the most interesting fields in the automotive industry. Especially small DC motor was issued because of the increasing adoption for passengers' safety and convenience. For several years, small DC motors have been studied and some problems of a life test method were found out. The field condition was not considered enough in the old life test method. It also needed a lot of test time. For precise life estimation and accelerated life test, new life test procedure was developed based on measured field condition. The vibration condition on vehicle and lateral force on fan motor shaft were measured and correlated with each other. Therefore Life of fan motors can be estimated by new life test method in shorter test time.
