음성 인터페이스의 페르소나 디자인 연구: - 한국어의 성별어 어휘 분석 중심으로 -

본 연구는 스마트 스피커의 확산과 함께 음성 인터페이스 디자인이 주목받음에 따라 페르소나 젠더 디자인에 주목했다. 특히 여성 편향으로 디자인된 음성 인터페이스 페르소나에 대한 비판적인 우려가 확산되고 있으며, 음성 인터페이스 페르소나를 디자인할 때 젠더 디자인 요소로 한국어를 어떻게 다루어야 할지 연구하고자 했다. 이를 위해 사회언어학의 ‘언어와 성’ 분야의 접근을 적용하여 상용화된 스마트 스피커의 성별어 어휘 분석을 시도했다. 성별어의 어휘적 특징인 감성어휘 사용, 비속어와 욕설 사용 여부, 남,녀 관심어 구사 수준을 기준으로 스마트 스피커 인터뷰 발화를 분석했고, 그 결과 여성어의 특징이 발견되었다. 특히 ‘아리아’, ‘지니’의 여성어 구사 빈도가 높았으며, 구글의 경우 젠더 중립적인 균형을 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통해 정리한 성별어의 특징은 향후 음성 인터페이스 디자인 환경에서 젠더 편향에 빠지지 않는 디자인 기준으로 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 연구 의의를 찾을 수 있다. This study focused on the research of persona gender design with the spread of smart speakers and the attention of voice user interface(VUI). In particular, critical concerns about the persona of VUI designed with female stereotypes are spreading and when designing it, I tried to study how to treat Korean language as an element of gender design. To this end, this study attempted to analyze the gender vocabulary of smart speakers by applying the approach of the 'language and gender' field of sociolinguistics. Based on the use of emotional vocabulary, the use of slang words and abusive language, and the level of proficiency of male and female interests, the analysis of interview speeches with smart speakers was conducted. Among them, 'Aria' and 'Genie' spoke female dialect more frequently, and Google seemed to maintain a gender neutral balance. The characteristics of the genderlect summarized through this study can be found in the fact that they can be used as a reference of design that does not fall into gender bias in future voice interface design.
