        Neural cell adhesion molecule(NCAM) promotes the differentiation of hippocampal precursor cells to a neuronal lineage, especially to a glutamatergic neural cell type

        Rat hippocampal precursor cells isolated from hippocampi of embryonic day 16.5 (E16.5) rat em-bryos were found to proliferate in the presence of basic fibroblast growth factor. Addition of soluble neural cel adhesion molecule (NCAM) to these precursor cels reduced cel proliferation in a dose dependent manner and enhanced the induction of precursor cels' diferentiation to the neuronal line-age. Given these findings that NCAM induces the diferentiation of hippocampal precursor cels, we investigated posible efects of NCAM on the ex-pression of basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) tran-scription factors during the diferentiation. Sol-uble NCAM upregulated the transcription of bHLH decreased HES5. Western blot analysis showed that NCAM increased the expresion levels of CaMKII, p-MAPK, GluR1 and NR1 but decreased p-STAT3. These results suport a role for NCAM in the inhibition of proliferation and the induction of neural diferentiation of hippocampal neural pre-cursor cels, and act as developmental regulators of the bHLH families, ultimately leading to the generation of glutamatergic neural cel types in the diferentiation of hippocampal precursor cels.

        Neural stem cells are present both in the developing nervous system and in the adult nervous system of all mammals, including humans. Little is known, however, about the extent to which stem cells in adults can give rise to new neurons. There is extensive evidence indicating that new neurons are generated in the dentate gyrus of the adult mammalian hippocampus, a region of the brain that is important for learning and memory. Several studies have now shown that enriched environment, voluntary movement enhance the survival of newly generated cells in the hippocampus. Exposure to stressful experiences, glucocorticoids decreases the numbers of new neurons in the dentate gyrus; this occurs not by altering the survival of new cells but by downregulating cell proliferation. Now that it has been established that new neurons are in fact added to the adult brain, the question becomes what are their functions. Adult neurogenesis has been offered as a possible key to understanding and even treating such phenomena as depression. Alzheimer's disease, and schizophrenia. It would be wonderful if further study of adult neurogenesis could shed light on any or all of these CNS conditions.

        최근 전자상거래의 상업성이 부각되면서 많은 기업들과 개인사업자들이 독자적인 웹서버를 구축하고 자사의 상품 또는 기업에 대한 광고 내용을 인터넷을 통해 서비스를 하고 있다. 그러나 소비자들에게 인지도가 낮은 기업이나 전국의 각 지방의 특산품과 토산품 관련 웹사이트들은 소비자에게 홍보가 부족하고, 상품의 종류와 정보의 부족으로 외면을 당하고 있는 것을 많이 본다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 기업들의 카탈로그를 수집하여 재구성한 후, 한 사이트에서 여러 기업의 상품을 검색할 수 있도록 하여 소비자의 접근과, 각 기업의 상거래 사이트를 활성화 할 수 있는 메타 전자 쇼핑몰 개발에 관해 기술한다. 본 시스템의 특징은 로봇이 자동으로 데이터 베이스를 구축하여 소비자가 쉽게 검색 할 수 있도록 주제어 검색과 디렉토리 검색 및 폴더형맵 검색 인터페이스 구성을 가지고 있다는 점이다.

        Vemurafenib Enhances NK cell Expansion and Tumor-killing Activity for Cancer Immunotherapy

        Natural killer (NK) cells are innate immune cells and play important roles as the first immune cells to recognize and kill cancer. In patients with advanced and terminal cancer, NK cells are often inactivated, suggesting that NK cells may play important roles in cancer treatment. In particular, the proportion of NK cells among immune cells infiltrating tumor tissues is often low, which suggests that NK cells do not survive in tumor microenvironment (TME). In order to overcome these hurdles of NK cells in cancer treatment, it is critical to develop strategies that enhance the proliferation and cytolytic activity of NK cells. We applied Vemurafenib to NK cells and measured the degree of NK cell proliferation and functional activation. We obtained unexpected results of increased NK cell numbers and anti-tumor activity after Vemurafenib treatment. Although further investigation is required to uncover the detailed mechanisms, our results suggest that Vemurafenib is a promising candidate to increase the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy using NK cells.

        NK Cell-Based Immunotherapies in Cancer

        With the development of technologies that can transform immune cells into therapeutic modalities, immunotherapy has remarkably changed the current paradigm of cancer treatment in recent years. NK cells are components of the innate immune system that act as key regulators and exhibit a potent tumor cytolytic function. Unlike T cells, NK cells exhibit tumor cytotoxicity by recognizing non-self, without deliberate immunization or activation. Currently, researchers have developed various approaches to improve the number and anti-tumor function of NK cells. These approaches include the use of cytokines and Abs to stimulate the efficacy of NK cell function, adoptive transfer of autologous or allogeneic ex vivo expanded NK cells, establishment of homogeneous NK cell lines using the NK cells of patients with cancer or healthy donors, derivation of NK cells from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), and modification of NK cells with cutting-edge genetic engineering technologies to generate chimeric Ag receptor (CAR)-NK cells. Such NK cell-based immunotherapies are currently reported as being promising anti-tumor strategies that have shown enhanced functional specificity in several clinical trials investigating malignant tumors. Here, we summarize the recent advances in NK cell-based cancer immunotherapies that have focused on providing improved function through the use of the latest genetic engineering technologies. We also discuss the different types of NK cells developed for cancer immunotherapy and present the clinical trials being conducted to test their safety and efficacy.

        Niclosamide Enhances NK cell Proliferation and Anti-Tumor Activity for Cancer Immunotherapy

In many cancer patients, NK cells can be seen to be inactivated, suggesting that NK cells are important in cancer treatment. In order to overcome the disadvantages of NK cells in cancer treatment, it is critical to develop strategies that enhance the proliferation and cytolytic function of NK cells. We applied niclosamide to measure the degree of NK cell activation, and obtained unexpected results of increased NK cell numbers and anti-tumor activity. Although further investigation is required to uncover the detailed mechanisms, our results suggest that Niclosamide is a promising candidate to increase the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy using NK cells.

        제조 공정 사이클타임 측정을 통한 동작 낭비분석 및 개선방안

        Based on the cycle time measurement of the DA-SPA process, the waste time of each process operation was analyzed. By improving the synchronous processing method in which the bonding operation is sequentially performed after the dispensing process, the overall process time can be shortened by processing the bonding operation in parallel during the waiting time of the dispensing process, and the structure interference, which is the waiting element of the dispensing process, is eliminated. To reduce this, an improvement plan was derived to shorten the overall process time by adding a buffer structure and changing the bonding device process.

      • 이중채널 잡음음성인식을 위한 공간정보를 이용한 통계모델 기반 음성구간 검출

        본 논문에서는 잡음환경에서의 이중채널 음성인식을 위한 통계모델 기반 음성구간 검출 방법을 제안한다. 제안된 방법에서는 다채널 입력 신호로부터 얻어진 공간정보를 이용하여 음성 존재 및 부재 확률모델을 구하고 이를 통해 음성구간 검출을 행한다. 이때, 공간정보는 두 채널간의 상호 시간 차이와 상호 크기 차이로, 음성 존재 및 부재 확률은 가우시안 커널 밀도 기반의 확률모델로 표현된다. 그리고 음성구간은 각 시간 프레임 별 음성 존재 확률 대비 음성 부재 확률의 비를 추정하여 검출된다. 제안된 음성구간 검출 방법의 평가를 위해 검출된 구간만을 입력으로 하는 음성인식 성능을 측정한다. 실험결과, 제안된 공간정보를 이용하는 통계모델 기반의 음성구간 검출 방법이 주파수 에너지를 이용하는 통계모델 기반의 음성구간 검출 방법과 주파수 스펙트럼 밀도 기반 음성구간 검출 방법에 비해 각각 15.6%, 15.4%의 상대적 오인식률 개선을 보였다.
