1997${\sim}$1998년 한국에서 발생한 열성 질환에 대한 혈청역학적 연구

Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), scrub typhus, murine typhus and leptospirosis have been the principal acute febrile diseases in Korea for many years. To evaluate the seroepidemiologic patterns of the acute febrile illness, sera collected from 4,503 patients in $1997{\sim}1998$ were examined for antibodies against Hantaan virus, Orientia tsutsugamushi and Rickettsia typhi by indirect immunofluorescent antibody technique (IFA) and macroscopic agglutination test for Leptospira interogans. Seropositive cases for Orientia tsutsugamushi, Rickettsia typhi, Leptospira interogans and Hantaan virus were 261 (12.4%),242 (11.5%), 11 (0.5%), and 250 (11.9%) in 1997, and 415 (17.3%), 273 (11.4%), 16 (0.7%), and 357 (14.9%) in 1998, respectively. Male was affected more frequently by HFRS and leptospirosis while scrub typhus was more prevalent in female. Old age group was more susceptible to the acute febrile diseases. Most positive cases were occurred during October and November for scrub typhus, and during November and December for HFRS. These results showed similar patterns with previous epidemiological data obtained during recent several years, except the single scrub typhus epidemic in 1998, and implied that no significant changes occurred in ecologic system for acute febrile diseases in Korea.
신대륙 한타바이러스 : 한타바이러스 폐증후군 병원체들의 분자생물학적 진화와 계통발생학적 연관성

1993년 한티바이러스 폐증후군 갑작스런 유행의 원인이 무엇인지 그리고 11세 미만의 어린이에서는 한타바이러스 폐증후군 환자가 발생하지 않는 정확한 이유 역시 밝혀져야 할 과제이다. 또한 SN 와 NY 바이러스 감염시에는 매우 드문 신부전증이 어떻게 BAY, BCC 및 Andes 바이러스의 감염시에는 증가하는지 등 한타바이러스 폐증후군의 임상증상 및 그 병인론에 관한 연구도 시급한 실정이며 이를 위해서는 한타바이러스 감염시 사람과 비슷한 증상을 나타내는 적당한 동물모델의 개발이 하루 빨리 선행되야 하겠다.

In this paper, detected displacement current using PBLG and PBDG, position and observed the electrical characteristics to each 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 layers by LB method. Maximum value of change ratio of displacement current by the detected speed and temperature appeared almost lineally, could confirm that it are in comparison relation each other speed·temperature and displacement current. In processing of a device manufacture, we can see the process is good from the change of a surface pressure for organic thin films and transfer ratio of area per molecule. The structure of manufactured device is MIM. Also, we then examined of the MIM device by means of Ⅰ-Ⅴ. The Ⅰ-Ⅴ characteristic of the device is measured from 0 to + 2[Ⅴ]. The insulation property of a thin film is better as the distance between electrodes is larger.

We describe the fabrication and characterization of a doubly clamped multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWNT). Thedevice was asembled by an application of electric field in solution. The MWNT was clamped on end of metal trenchelectrodes in solution and deposited with additional platinum (Pt) on edge of electrode for firmly suspending the MWNTm, respectively.Electrical characteristics of fabricated devices were measured by I-V curve and impedance analysis. The mechanicaldeformation was observed by resistivity in high air presure. Resonant frequency around 6.8 MHz was detected andresistivity was linearly varied according to the magnitude of air presure. This device could have potential applicationsin nanoelectronics and various sensors.

To evaluate the seroepidemiologic patterns of acute febrile illness, sera collected from 2,423 patients in 1996 were examined for antibodies against Hantaan virus, Orientia tsutsugamushi, Rickettsia typhi, and Borrelia burgdorferi by indirect immunofluorescent antibody technique (IFA) and macroscopic agglutination test for Leptospira interogans. Seropositive cases against Otsutsugamushi, Rickettsia typhi, Leptospira interogans and Hantaan virus were 192 (7.9%), 193 (8.0%), 12 (0.5%) and 324 (13.4%), respectively. Male was more affected in HFRS and murine typhus contrasting to scrub typhus and leptospirosis in female. Most positive cases occurred during October and November for scrub typhus, and during November and December for HFRS. These results showed similar patterns with previous epidemical data for recent couple of years, and possibly implied no significant changes occurred in ecologic situations for acute febrile diseases in Korea.

- Dendrimers represent a new class of synthetic macromolecules characterized by a regularly branched treelike structure. Multiple branching yields a large number of chain ends that distinguish dendrimers from conventional star-like polymers and microgels. The azobenzene dendrimer is one of the dendrimeric macromolecules that include the azo-group exhibiting a photochromic character. Due to the presence of the charge transfer element of the azo-group and its rod-shaped structure, these compounds are expected to have potential interest in electronics and photoelectronics, especially in nonlinear optics. In the present paper, we give pressure stimulation to organic thin films and detect the induced displacement current. Functional photoisometrization organic molecular the photo-stimulus to organic monomolecular L films and LB films of dendrimer and 8A5H were performed. The 8A5H organic monolayer in case of pressure stimulus occurred that positive course but in case of the photo-stimulus compared positive and negative. It is assumed that generation forms of displacement current were measured when photo-stimulus for impression.

한국 주민에서 한탄바이러스에 대한 항체 보유률 및 분포 조사

To estimate the prevalence of Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), we tested 1137 people among Korean.100 residents in Kosung-Gun, Kangwon-Do, 100 in Yangyang-Gun, Kang- won-Do, 100 in Buan-Gun, Chunbuk, 100 in Wanju-Gun, Chunlabuk-Do, 295 in Chunlanam-Do, 398 in Cheju-Do and 44 workers from two Laboratories. Vero E-6 cell infected with Hantaan virus used as a antigen and indirect immunofluorescence test (IFT) were performed. The result obtained from this study, 3 out of 100 (3% ) residents in Kosung, 2 out of 100 (2% ) in Yangyang, 1 out of 100 (%) in Buan, 6 out of 100 (6%) in Wanju, 10 out of 295 (3.4%) in Chunnam, 13 out 398(3.3%) and 2 out of 44 (4.5%) from laboratory workers were found to have antibody to Hantaan virus. The titer ranged from 1:32 to 1:256 however no sera were reactive to anti-IgM antibody. The ratio of male and female seropositive was 2.4:1.
