Subdural empyema is relatively uncommon condition. characterized by purulent collection in the subdural space. Having presented a fulminating clinical course with very high morbidity and mortality. it is conconsidered as a neurosurgical emergency. In recent years, the mortality of subdural empyema has significantly diminished due to rapid diagnosis, aggressive antibiotic therapy and timely surgical intervention. The condition remains a diagnostic challenge ; CT scanning cannot be relied upon although the use of intravenous contrast and more modem scanner has improved the diagnostic yield. MRI offers earlier and more accurate diagnosis of computed tomographically suspected lesion. We report cases of subdural empyemas. which were diagnosed with MR and operaton. We treated one case successfully and the other postoperative case unsuccessfully owing to a delayed diagnosis.
해월의 교육사상에 대한 일고찰 : 해월신사 법설을 중심으로

동학을 창도한 이는 최수운이지만 이를 꽃 피운이는 ?해월이다. 실제로 최해월은 ‘까막눈’이었으나 그의 사상을 기록한 해월신사법설이 엄연히 존재하고 있다. 그의 포교활동과정에서 보여주는 실천적 구도행각은 그의 법설의 토대가 되었음을 알 수 있다. 해월은 법설에서 인간존중 및 평등사상을 초지일관되게 피력하고 있는데 이는 교육학적으로 해석이 가능하다. 그의 법설은 당시의 민중들에게 변화를 주었고 새로운 삶의 방향을 이끌어 가는 교과서적 역할을 했던 것이다. 해월의 양천주의 사상에 근거한 사인여천의 사상은 비인간화된 현대사회의 병폐를 극복하는 근본적인 실마리를 제공하고 있다. 교육의 비인간화 현상에 대한 대안이 무엇일까 이는 인간을 서로 존중하고 더불어 잘사는 사회를 만들어야 한다는 공동의 가치를 실현해야 한다는 정신개벽이다. 정신적 황폐화를 극복하기 위한 인간 각자의 깨우침에서 시작되어야 한다. 여성 및 아동존중의 교육은 교육내부에서 반드시 실천해야 할 사상이다. 봉건 계급사회의 불식이 인간존중과 자유주의 가치를 지향하는 이상적인 목표다. 수심정기하고 성경신 잘 지켜 모든 사람이 공유하는 교육이상상이 되는 교육적 이상세계의 건설은 우리의 소망이다. 우리 모두는 해월의 귀한 교육사상을 실천해 옮김으로써 교육적 이상세계를 구축해야 할 것이다.

Background: The therapeutic response in SCLC ptients for 1st line chemotherapy using platinum is closely related with prognosis. So we hypothesize that therapeutic response for chemotherapy using platinum is correlated with SUV-max value in PET-CT which is known to be correlated with prognosis in SCLC patients. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed the medical records of the patients who are diagnosed as SCLC pathologically or cyto-logically in two university hospital from January 2007 to December 2011. We grouped all patients into good-response group and poor-response group. Good-response group is the patients who are platinum-sensitive patients (recurred after 4 month later after finishing chemotherapy using platinum). Poor-response group is the patients who are platinum-resistant patients (recurred before 3 months after finishing chemotherapy using platinum) and progressive disease patients for WHO criteria. We excluded patients who had no PET-CT data or no chemotherapy data. Results: Of the total of 64 screened patients, 24 patients met the enrollment criteria. Good-response group (platinum-sensitive patients) are 10 patients, and poor-response group are 14 patients (platinum-resistant patients are 10 patients, and progressive disease patients are 4 patients). There is no significant association between therapeutic response and SUV-max value in PET-CT. Conclusions: There is no significant association between therapeutic response and SUV-max value in PET-CT. So we conclude that we cannot predict the therapeutic response with SUV-max value in PET-CT.
중증 두부 손상 환자의 예후 인자에 대한 임상 분석 : Clinical Prognostic Factors

A clinical analysis was carried out retrospectively with 54 cases of severe head injured patients(Glasgow Coma Scale score 3 to 8) in identify prognostic factors. Unawareness for over 1 month, abnormal pupillary reaction, abnormal motor response pattern, and diffuse head injury with basal cisternal compression prove to be the most reliable predictors. Individual predictions of outcome provide a powerful tool for assessing the relative efficacy of alternative treatments.
인문주의(humanisum)교육에 대한 고찰 : A study on Education of Humanism

Humanism is a new word through movement called Renaissance occurred in Italy. Obviously, Renaissance implicits the pursuit of new humanity that is emancipated from medieval restraint. Humanism, if it is good and sufficient in the life of human among the achievement of ancient Greece and Rome, the reconstructive thoughts of his own world through reconstructive thoughts of his own world through reproducting them. Their cultural heritage, classics is sufficient as material of inspiration to give rise to new art and system. As different earth and climate makes different environment, so their ways of use is different according to the region. In the case of contents, as Italy is the ancestral home of Rome culture, they want to enjoy the perfect ancient poems and literatures. They have many aesthetic factors. In spite of being influenced from artists and scholars of southern areas of Alps directly and indirectly, northern europe humanists have the leading position of religious movement because of social and religious climate. As the time went by, the love spirit of ancient literature changes to emphasize the rule and form of literature. Naturally, in the case of education the same phenomenon occurred but the northern europe reformed the teaching method to perceive the spirits of poets and moralists in the basis of moral and religion rather than grammar because of commercial and democratic effects. In spite of the same humanism, the characteristics is different according to the condition and climate of the region the problem of content or form and aim or means is the important guestion in history.
