        Underdevelopment of Left Atrial Appendage

        A patient was admitted for catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. Cardiac computed tomography and transesophageal echocardiography revealed the absence of the left atrial appendage. However, the right atrial appendage looked normal and the level of pro B-natriuretic peptide was within normal limits. Successful catheter ablation was performed without any procedural complications and the sinus rhythm was appropriately maintained for 10 months with an antiarrhythmic drug.

        경항통 설문지를 이용한 한의학적 진단 및 분류체계에 관한 연구

        Objectives : The purpose of this thesis is to help the preparation of oriental medicine clinical guidelines for drawing up the standards of oriental medicine demonstration and diagnosis classification about the neck pain. Methods : Statistical analysis about Gyeonghangtong(頸項痛), Nakchim(落枕), Sagyeong(斜頸), Hanggang (項强) classified experts’ opinions about neck pain patients by Delphi method is conducted by using oriental medicine diagnosis questionnaire. The result was classified by using linear discriminant analysis (LDA), diagonal linear discriminant analysis (DLDA), diagonal quadratic discriminant analysis (DQDA), K-nearest neighbor classification (KNN), classification and regression trees (CART), support vector machines (SVM). Results : The results are summarized as follows. 1. The result analyzed by using LDA has a hit rate of 84.47% in comparison with the original diagnosis. 2. High hit rate was shown when the test for three categories such as Gyeonghangtong and Hanggang category, Sagyeong caterogy and Nakchim caterogy was conducted. 3. The result analyzed by using DLDA has a hit rate of 58.25% in comparison with the original diagnosis. The result analyzed by using DQDA has a accuracy of 57.28% in comparison with the original diagnosis. 4. The result analyzed by using KNN has a hit rate of 69.90% in comparison with the original diagnosis. 5. The result analyzed by using CART has a hit rate of 69.60% in comparison with the original diagnosis. There was a hit rate of 70.87% When the test of selected 8 significant questions based on analysis of variance was performed. 6. The result analyzed by using SVM has a hit rate of 80.58% in comparison with the original diagnosis. Conclusions : Statistical analysis using oriental medicine diagnosis questionnaire on neck pain generally turned out to have a significant result.

        Detailed Electrode Catheter Positioning is Important for the Ablation of Outflow Tract Origin Ventricular Arrhythmias

        Background and Objectives: Electroanatomical mapping using a three-dimensional (3D) system has high accuracy and improves the results of the ablation of outflow tract (OT) premature ventricular contraction (PVC) or ventricular tachycardia (VT) but imposes a considerable economic burden. Here, we compared detailed diagnostic catheterization and 3D mapping system for the ablation of OT PVC/VT. Materials and Methods: Between June 2012 and February 2017, patients with symptomatic OT PVC/VT underwent radiofrequency ablation. Group 1 underwent detailed diagnostic catheterization (using circular and linear multielectrodes) without a 3D mapping system, while group 2 underwent diagnostic catheterization using a conventional 3D mapping system. Procedural success of PVC reduction, remaining symptoms, need for post-operative medications, and procedural time were evaluated. Results: Ninety-eight OT PVC/VT cases were consecutively enrolled. The mean follow-up period was 17.7±14.5 months. Neither acute success rate (95% vs. 82%, p=0.06) nor a PVC reduction > 80% (84% vs. 87%, p=0.74) differed significantly between the two groups. The recurrence rates of PVC-related symptoms were similar (12% vs. 7%, p=0.06) between the groups, but the medication requirement for symptomatic PVC differed (12% vs. 29%, p<0.01). The total procedure time of group 1 was shorter than that of group 2 (132±42 min vs. 157±47 min, p=0.01) and fluoroscopy time (24±15 min vs. 38±22 min, p<0.01) and ablation time (528±538 sec vs. 899±598 sec, p<0.01) were also significantly shortened. Conclusion: Detailed electrode catheter positioning is a safe and cost-effective method for the ablation of OT PVC/VT.

        50Li2O-50B2O3 유리의 시간분해 전류 변화에 관한 연구

        The time-resolved current change was successively measured as functions of the voltage and the temperature for the cases of an applied potential and no applied potential. When the potential was applied, the time-resolved current decayed exponentially and asymptotically moved from a momentary charge current point to a leakage current point through a polarization current. When no potential was applied, the time resolved current decayed exponentially and asymptotically moved from a momentary discharge current point to a residual current point through a relaxing polarization current. The current in both case increased as the temperature and the applied potential were increased, and the turning time of the polarization current shifted to shorter time. When no potential was applied, the current change had three stages. As soon as a potential was applied and after the potential had been applied for a sufficiently long time, the conductivity as a function of temperature was affected by time that a given potential was applied. Li$_2$O-B$_2$O$_3$ 유리의 전류변화를 전압을 인가했을 때와 인가하지 않았을 때 시간과 온도의 함수로써 연속적으로 측정하였다. RC회로의 충전 및 방전과정과 유사하게 전압을 인가하였을 때의 전류변화는 충전순간전류로부터 분극전류를 거쳐 누설전류 점에 접근하는 지수 함수적 감소현상을 보였으며 전압을 인가하지 않았을 때의 전류변화도 방전순간전류로부터 분극이완전류를 거쳐 잔여전류 점에 접근하는 지수 함수적 감소현상을 보였다. 전압인가 하였을 때와 전압을 인가하지 않았을 때의 전류변화는 모두 온도가 증가함에 따라 증가하였으며, 분극전환전류점은 전압이 증가할수록 더 짧은 시간에 이루어지는 것으로 나타났다. 전압을 인가하지 않았을 때 전류의 변화는 저온에서 삼 단계의 과정을 거쳐서 나타났다. 전압이 인가된 직후의 온도변화에 따른 직류전기전도도와 전압이 인가된 후 충분히 시간이 지난 이후의 온도변화에 따른 직류전기전도도의 변화는 전압인가 시간에 의해 크게 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

        Prognosis of Acute Pancreatitis in Glyphosate Surfactant Herbicide-intoxicated Patients

        Purpose: Glyphosate herbicides (GHs) are widely used and increasingly associated with poisoning cases. Acute pancreatitis (AP) is among the many complications associated with the toxicity of GHs. We investigated the relationship between incidence of AP and its prognosis in patients with GH poisoning. Methods: This was a retrospective cohort study conducted at a single tertiary hospital between January 2004 and December 2014. We enrolled all patients presented to the emergency department with GH poisoning. The Clinical and laboratory variables were analyzed to investigate the relationship between GH intoxication and AP. Results: We studied 245 patients. Incidence of AP after GH poisoning was 6.5%. Patients with AP (mean 66 years) were older than the non-AP group (56 years). Systolic blood pressure, Glasgow Coma Scale, and amount of ingested poison differed significantly between the two groups. In the blood tests, white blood cell count, alanine aminotransferase, glucose, potassium, amylase, and lipase showed significant differences. The pH, bicarbonate, and lactate levels also differed significantly. Patients with AP demonstrated higher incidence of respiratory failure, pneumonia, acute kidney injury, rhabdomyolysis, and intensive care unit stay time. Additionally, 30-day mortality (n=11, 68.8%) was significantly higher in the AP group. On multivariate analysis, adjusted age, amount of ingestion, and lactate correlated with occurrence of AP. Conclusion: The incidence of GH-induced AP was 6.5% with a 30-day mortality of 68.8%. The patient’s age, ingested dosage, and lactate levels were associated with GH-induced AP.

      • 산화물 유리반도체의 전기적 성질에 관한 연구

        여러 개의 Fe₂O₃-P₂O?-B?O계 유리를 P₂O?의 함량을 변화시키면서 Fe₂O₃의 영역을 5∼30mole 퍼센트 범위에서 제작하였다. 본 시료의 전기전도도는 온도 영역 80∼400K범위에서 측정했는데, 온도와 철의 함량이 증가함에 따라 증가되며, 고온영역에서는 Arrhenius 방정식을 만족시키지만, 지온영역에서는 Mott's Variable Range Hopping으로 설명할 수 있었다. 활성화 에너지는 철 함량의 증가와 온도의 감소에 따라 작아지며 또한 저온영역으로 내려 갈수록 더욱 작아짐을 알 수 있다. 전류-전압 특성에서는 본 시료들이 Threshold Switching현상이 나타고 있음을 확인하였다. Several Fe₂O₃-P₂O?-BaO glasses were prepared in the range of 5∼30mloar percent Fe₂O₃ with P₂O? contents varying from 30 to 50 molar percent. The conductivity have been measured in the temperature range 80K to 400K, and it increased with increasing of the Fe₂O₃molar percent and temperature, and also it satisfied the Arrhenius eguation exp(-E/K?T) at the high temperature, but at low temperature it can be explained by Mott's variable range hopping. Activation energy decreased with increasing of the Fe₂O₃ molar percent and decreasing of temperature. Fe₂O₃-P₂O?-BaO system galsses have been found the threshold switching phenomenon from Ⅰ-Ⅴ characteristics.

        고령인구의 상지근력과 일반적 특성에 대한 상관성에 관한 지역기반 연구

        Objectives : The purpose of this study was to show the corelation between age-related muscular mass and the change of exercise, muscle mass and muscular strength by comparison of muscle strength. Methods : 39 volunteers of all the patients who come to Dangjin health center between May and June in 2009 were classified as group A and group B according to age. Demographic data of these two groups have been done a comparative analysis, using the t-test procedure and linear regression analysis. Results : The results and summarized as follows. 1. Demographic data of these two groups have been done a comparative analysis, using the t-test procedure. As a result the average exercise and the average pulse have a statistically significant difference according to age. 2. Each of average fat, muscle and muscular strength in these two groups have been done a omparative analysis, using the t-test procedure. As a result there is no statistically significant according to age. 3. According to the result analyzed by using linear regression analysis, age have a negative effect on muscle but there is no statistically meaningful. Exercising have a positive effect on muscle and there is statistically significant. 4. Age and Protein diet have a negative effect on Grip strength but there is no statistically significant. Conclusions : From this result, it can be assumed that the amount of exercise is decreasing with age, which leads to lose some muscle mass.

      • 기상성장법으로 성장시킨 PbI₂ 결정의 발광 및 라만산란 스펙트럼에 관한 연구

        Pbl₂결정을 기상성장법으로 성장시켰다. 성장된 결정들의 발광스펙트럼 및라만산란스펙트럼이 10K에서 Ar*레이저 여기광에 의해 측정되었다. 발광스펙트럼에 나타난 발광선의 위치로부터 성장된 결정의 결정구조를 확인할 수있었으며 측정에서 밝혀진 결정은 2H-Pbl2 단결정과 혼합형 (2H+4H)-Pbl₂결정임을 규명할 수 있었다 2H-Pbl2 단결정의 발광스펙트럼에서는 자유여기자및 속박여기자의 재결합에 의한 발광선과 여기자들의 재결합과정에서 산란된 포논복재선들이 나타났으며. D-A쌍 재결합에 의한 발광선도 나타났다 이 결정의 라만산란스펙트럼으로부터 A₁g, Eg. A₂u 모드의 포논에너지가 얻어졌으며 이 에너지들은 발광스펙트럼의 포논복재선들의 에너지와 매우 잘 일치하였다. 공명라만산란으로부터 다중산란에 의한 2A₂u(LO). 3A₂u(LO)4A₂u(LO) 포논에너지가 등거리구조를 가지고 나타났으며 반전대칭구조를 갖는 결정에서 나타나는 Fröhlich 상호작용이 실험적으로 규명될 수 있었다. 혼합형 Pbl₂결정의 발광스펙트럼에서는 4H-Pbl2 및 2H-Pbl2 의 자유여기자 및속박여기자의 재결합에 의한 발광선들이 한 결정에서 나타났으며, 발광선들의 명확한 기원을 규명하기 위하여 발광스펙트럼의 온도의존성이 조사되었다. 발광스펙트럼의 온도의존성으로부터 자유여기자들의 발광선의 위치는 온도가 증가함에 따라 자유여기자의 특성인 저에너지 쪽으로 이동하였으며, 속박여기자들의 발광선은 온도가 증가함에 따라 속박여기자 고유특성인 고에너지 쪽으로 이동하는 현상을 확인할 수 있었다 이로부터 혼합형결정의 발광선에 대한 해석이 타당함을 알 수 있었다.

      • 산화물 유리 반도체의 교류 전도도에 관한 연구

        여러개의 Fe2O3 - P2O5 - BaO계 유리를 P2O5의 함량을 30 ~ 55 mole 퍼센트로 변화시키면서 Fe2O3 의 함량올 5 ~ 30 mole 퍼센트 범위에서 제조하였다. 교류 전도도는 주파수 범위 20Hz - 70MHz와 온도 범위 80K ~400K 영역에서 측정하였는데, 낮은 온도에서의 전도도는 거의 온도에 독립적이었으나 관계식 σ=Aωs에 의해 강한 주파수 의존성이 나타났으며 지수S는 1 보다 작은 값으로 측정하였다. 높은 온도에서의 주파수 의존성은 저 주파수 영역에서는 악하고 고 주파수 영역에서는 강하게 나타났다. 약한 주파수 의존성은 측정된 교류 전도도에 대한 직류 전도도의 기여분 때문인것으로 사료된다.
