Particles with core-shell structure with polystyrene (PS) core and polyethylene glycol (PEG) grafted on the surface were synthesized in a plasma-fluidized bed reactor. The virgin, plasma-treated, and grafted powders were characterized by the DPPH method, UV_vis spectrophotometer, NMR, FT-IR and SEM. The plasma-treated PS powders have well formed peroxide on the surface. By PEG grafting polymerization, PEG is well grafted and dispersed on the surface of the plasma-treated PS powders. The PEG_g_PS powder exhibits the core shell structure in the cross-sectional SEM image, and it can be claimed that well dispersed PEG grafting polymerization on PS surface can be achieved in the plasma fluidized bed reactor.
AHP 방법을 이용한 개인휴대 전투드론의 전투효과도 분석

In this study, we analyze combat effectiveness of PCD(Personal Combat Drone) using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) method. PCD is a man-portable drone that can conduct various tasks including surveil- lance and attack against various targets immediately. For AHP, we define ‘Combat effectiveness for small units’ as 1st hierarchy, ‘Combat area surveillance and easiness of target acquisition’, ‘Easiness of target attack’, ‘Tactical flexibility’ as 2nd hierarchy. We also set ‘Rapidness of target acquisition’, ‘Long distance combat area surveillance and possibility of target acquisition’, ‘Day and night combat area surveillance capability’, ‘Rapid target attack’, ‘Possibility of attack on top of target’, ‘Response in the contingency’, etc. as 3rd hierarchy. Alternatives in 4th hierarchy are ‘Unit equipped with PCD’ and ‘Unit without PCD’. We survey 102 company grade and field grade officers with experience in the battalion or lower level of unit. AHP results show that combat effectiveness of unit with PCD is 2.73 times greater than unit with- out PCD and the combat area surveillance is the most important function of the PCD. The comparison of each hierarchy items and various analysis results are presented.
회전안정탄약의 비행운동 모사장치에 대한 실험적·수치해석적 연구

A gas gun system to replicate the flight motions of large caliber spin-stabilized ammunition has been investigated experimentally and numerically. The system is specially designed to study aerodynamic characteristics and dynamics of a flight body ejected from a cargo shell or a subsonic projectile itself at up to 2,000 rpm and 100 m/s. Raynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes equations with a overset mesh technique and 6-DOF dynamics were solved to decide the chamber pressure according to the muzzle velocity input by users. The predicted velocity values show less than 6 % of discrepancies compared to experimental data. The system has successfully been tested for the simulation of deployment of a parafoil for a 155 mm gun-launched projectile.

Despite its strong military impact, there is a lack of empirical research related to the intelligence of Autonomous Weapon Systems (AWS). This study discusses the necessary concepts for intelligent reconnaissance missions of drones from an engineering perspective and provides concrete proposals for the required technologies to implement them. Specifically, the study explores Simulation-Based Learning frameworks, the integration of Supervised Learning and Reinforcement Learning in simulation environments, and Vision-Based Learning using aerial image data. Through this study, the importance and potential of Simulation-Based Learning for the intelligence behavior of AWS have been confirmed. This research holds value and contributes as foundational research for advanced AI technology in the military. 자율무기체계(AWS)의 막강한 군사적 파급력에도 불구하고 체계의 지능화와 관련된 실증연구는 부족한 것이 현실이다. 본 연구는 공학적인 관점에서 드론의 정찰 임무를 지능화하는데 필요한 개념에 대해 논의하고, 이를 구현하는데 필요한 기술들을 구체적으로 제시하고 실증한다. 이를 위해, 시뮬레이션 기반 학습의 프레임워크, 시뮬레이션 환경에서 지도학습과 강화학습의 연계, 항공 이미지 데이터를 이용한 비전기반 학습 등을 논의한다. 본 연구를 통해 자율무기체계의 지능화를 위한 시뮬레이션 기반 학습의 중요성과 가능성을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 AI 과학기술 강군 건설을 위한 기초연구로서 가치와 기여점이 있다.

In this study, the development of annealing textures in cold rolled and annealed tantalum sheets was analyzed using electron backscatter diffraction. At 900˚C, the textures of the recrystallized grains in the partially and completely recrystallized microstructures displayed significant similarities. The average diameter of the recrystallized grains with γ-fiber orientations exceeded that of grains with different orientations, and the average growth rates were unrelated to the orientations after an initial stage of recrystallization. Additional cold rolling and annealing was done for controlled initial microstructures and textures inherited from various processes of prior cold rolling and annealing. This second cycle of the process resulted in stronger textures with major γ-fiber orientations as a result of the enhanced γ-fiber orientations in the preceding textures. A coarse-grained prior microstructure resulted in a weaker annealing texture than a fine grained one regardless of the stronger previous texture, which was occasioned by the sub-structures of the minor orientations at local deformation inhomogeneities such as sharp in-grain shear bands.
