This study examined the impact of college student’s engagement with ChatGPT-based speaking assignments on their speaking proficiency and perceptions of AI-assisted learning. A comparative analysis was conducted between high and low-engagement groups, excluding mid-engagement participants. Students completed ChatGPT-based speaking assignments twice a week over nine weeks, and both quantitative and qualitative data were collected. Paired samples t-tests indicated significant improvement in Responding to Questions and Expressing an Opinion for both the high- and low-engagement groups. In contrast, independent samples t-tests revealed that the high-engagement group significantly outperformed the low engagement group in overall speaking performance on the post-tests across both speaking tasks. These findings suggest that consistent participation meaningfully contributes to language development. Additionally, student’s perceptions of ChatGPT differed by engagement level. While low-engagement students acknowledged its convenience and emotional support, high engagement students reported enhanced confidence, reduced anxiety, and greater satisfaction with the learning process. Qualitative responses further highlighted differences in perceived strengths and limitations of AI, as well as preferences for human versus AI instruction. The results underscore the pedagogical potential of structured, AI-integrated speaking tasks and the crucial role of sustained engagement in maximizing both cognitive and affective learning outcomes.

LCD-TFT 라인이나 300mm 반도체 라인과 같은 전자제품의 생산라인은 inline type 설비로 구성된 job shop으로 간주할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 uni-inline cell로만 구성된 LCD-TFT 라인을 parameterized event graph로 모델링 했다. 이는 Schruben(2001)에 제시된 general job shop 모델을 확장한 것이다. 이 연구에서는 물류 설비와 관련된 event는 나타나지 않으나 이 부분은 inline stocker와 컨베이어를 모델링함으로써 확장할 수 있다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze Trade English test items and see whether the test items are evenly categorized according to National Competency Standards. For this, the items of the first and the second Trade English test of 2017 were analyzed. As a result, about 40% of the whole items were found to belong to ‘trade law’ area. On the other hand, regarding trade conveyance, there was no item at all. Items on ‘to process a claim’ were evenly found in English composition, but not in English comprehension. Besides, it is suggested that the alloted time for each level should be differentiated according to the level. The distinction between English translation and English composition is not clear. In the future, the research about the books on Trade English is necessary for the development of Trade English. 본 연구는 무역영어시험을 국가직무능력표준(NCS)을 기반으로 분석하고 그 직무분석내용에 얼마나 부합하는지를 알아보는 데 목적이 있다. 이를 위하여 국가공인자격시험인 무역영어 시험의 2017년 1급, 2급의 1차와 2차 ‘영문해석’, ‘영작문’ 과목을 대상으로 직무분석내용에 따라 분류하고 분석하였다. 결과 40퍼센트에 이르는 문항들이 ‘국내외 무역규범 파악하기와 규범 활용하기’에 몰려 있는 것을 발견할 수 있었다. 그런가 하면 ‘E. 수출입운송관리’ 영역에는 한 문항도 없는 등, 고른 분포가 되지 않았다. ‘클레임 처리하기’는 영문해석에서는 총 4개의 시험 중 1문항이었으나 영작문에서는 골고루 들어있어 편차를 보였다. 그 외에도 난이도와 지문길이가 많이 다른데도 1급부터 3급까지 시험시간이 90분으로 동일한 부분도 향후 시정의 여지가 필요한 부분이다. 또한 영문해석과 영작문의 구분이 명확하지 않은 점도, 향후에는 주제에 따라 과목을 나누거나 그렇지 않으면 두 과목 문항의 유형을 보다 분명히 구분해야 할 시사점을 준다. 앞으로 국내외의 무역영어교재나 외국의 무역영어 또는 비즈니스영어 시험에 대해서도 향후 연구가 필요하겠다.
대한예방한의학회지에 게재된 체계적 문헌고찰의 방법론 및 보고 질에 대한 평가

Objectives : The publication of systematic reviews (SRs) has increased significantly over the years, and systematic reviews are considered to have the strongest evidence as they are at the top of the hierarchy of evidence pyramid. In this study, a thorough assessment of all SRs published in Journal of Society of Preventive Korean Medicine (JSPKM) was performed to evaluate their reporting quality and methodological quality to better improve the quality of SRs in JSPKM. Methods : JSPKM website was searched to include all SRs published in JSPKM from 1997 to 2018. Two independent researchers assessed the SRs using A MeaSurement Tool to Assess systematic Reviews (AMSTAR, formerly known as Assessment of Multiple Systematic Reviews) tool checklist for methodological quality assessment, and Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guideline checklist for reporting quality assessment. Results : Out of 618 published articles published in JSPKM from 1997 to 2018, only 3 SRs were identified as SRs. For AMSTAR methodological quality scoring, the average score of 3 SRs was 3.0 out of 11 which is low quality level. For PRISMA reporting quality items, the 3 SRs reported 17.3 items on average out of 27 items. The 3 identified SRs did not provide information on protocol or registration which is included in both AMSTAR assessment tool and PRISMA guideline. Conclusions : Improvements on reporting quality and methodological quality of SRs using relevant tools or guidelines are needed to assure the quality of SRs published in JSPKM so that their conclusions will be more transparent and reliable for decision-making in healthcare and the best clinical practice.
스마트폰을 활용한 동영상 촬영과 자가평가 활동이 영어프레젠테이션 향상에 미치는 영향

The present study investigated the effects of video recording using a smartphone and self-evaluation of an English presentation on the improvement of the presentation. For about 10 weeks, 24 participants delivered two English presentations about common knowledge terms. The first English presentation was video-recorded using the smartphones of both the presenter and the professor. The video-recorded file was assessed by the professor and also self-evaluated by the presenter based on 30 items covering the presentation’s content, structure, delivery, and PowerPoint slides. The same procedure was also carried out for the second English presentation. To examine the improvement between the first and second presentations, the participants’ self-evaluation data were compared using a paired samples t-test. The results showed that the means of the second presentation data were significantly higher on all 30 items than the means from the first presentation. Additionally, the results of an independent samples t-test showed no significant difference between the professor's assessment and self-evaluation. According to surveys, most participants responded positively to smartphone video recording and self-assessment activity. These findings suggest that video recording of a presentation using a smartphone and a self-evaluation process for a presentation seem to be useful activitiesy to improve a presentation.
Effects of kimchi on human health: a scoping review of randomized controlled trials

Kimchi is a Korean traditional fermented food which is one of the most popular ethnic fermented foods in Korea and consumed daily. The purpose of this review was to systematically evaluate all prospective clinical studies of kimchi and to estimate the effectiveness of kimchi for health in general. Three English databases, four Korean databases, and two clinical trial registries were searched until November 7, 2022. Two independent reviewers extracted and tabulated the data. The outcomes of this review were any health-related outcomes that studied on kimchi or kimchi-derived probiotics. Eleven randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were included in this review, with 638 participants enrolled in total and 608 participants completing the trials. Most of the included RCTs examined serum lipid profiles and clinical parameters and found that kimchi interventions showed decrease in serum lipids, cholesterols and body fats. Kimchi interventions may be safe and effective treatment option for the treatment of general health, obesity, and irritable bowel syndrome, regardless of the lack of adequate trials. In the future, research that can verify the conflicting results on the health benefits of kimchi should be conducted rigorously to provide the scientific basis for the benefits of kimchi.

Background and objective: The purpose of this study is to investigate whether welfare horticultural therapists (hereinafterreferred to as "welfare HTs") have achieved self-growth through horticultural therapy experiences. Methods: The subjects of this study are 8 welfare HTs who have actively worked for more than 3 years after receiving awelfare HT license from the Korea Horticultural Therapy Welfare Association. As a research method, Colaizzi's phenomenologicalmethod was used. Through the study, a total of 123 semantic components, 34 themes, and 14 theme clusters werecollected under 5 categories. Results: The five categories are 'feeling dissatisfied with life', 'encountering horticultural therapy', 'being mesmerized byhorticultural therapy', 'difficulties in horticultural therapy', and 'experiencing self-growth through horticultural therapy'. Thefindings of this study are as follows. Welfare HTs have developed themselves through horticultural therapy experiences. They have had a desire to develop themself into a better existence since learning about horticultural therapy, and workingin the treatment field, using plants, through the recovery of clients and various difficult experiences, has consoled themand improved their emotional control and self-esteem. Conclusion: This study has the following significance. First, it focused on the specific context of working as a welfare HT. Second, it attempts an empirical study on self-growth through the experiences of welfare HTs, an important element inthe field of horticultural therapy, research of which has thus far been focused only on therapy programs . Third, it soughtto determine how welfare HTs achieve self-growth, so it seems that welfare HTs will be able to use these findings to learnabout and develop the abilities required to prepare themselves as mature experts.
AI 문법 검수 피드백과 자가 피드백이 EFL 대학생들의 영문법에 미치는 영향

The present study investigated the effects of AI-based grammar checker, Grammarly, and self-feedback using a grammar checklist on English grammar of EFL college students. It also aims to explore student perception and attitudes toward the AI checker and self-feedback. 81 students who enrolled in General English in the spring semester in 2021 were divided into two classes, experimental groups A and B. Those in experimental group A used only the AI checker, while those in experimental group B used self-check lists and also the AI checker. Questionnaires were used to collect data, including 16 multiple questions and four open-ended questions. The data were analyzed both quantitatively and qualitatively based on test scores and questionnaires. The findings of the study were as follows. First, all the participants improved their grammar knowledge after using AI-based grammar checker on their writing. Second, no significant differences between the two groups were found in their grammar improvement regardless of using self-check lists. Third, both groups showed positive perceptions and attitudes towards learning grammar through 'Grammarly' and self-check lists. They gave various opinions on the AI-based grammar checker. This study draws attention to the need for AI-based grammar checkers in English writing and grammar lessons.
