A novel 6-speed automatic transmission is designed using the lever analysis, which consists of 3 single planetary gear sets, 3 clutches, and 2 brakes. The novel 6-speed automatic transmission has the planetary gear ratio of 1.5 ~ 3.0 and overall gear ratio of more than 6. In order to investigate the novel 6-speed automatic transmission performance, a performance simulator is developed using AMEsim software. It is found from the simulation results that the novel 6-speed automatic transmission is able to provide improvement of the maximum acceleration by 6.8%, 0 -100㎞/h acceleration time by 10.7%, fuel economy for HWFET mode by 5.9% in comparison with 5-speed automatic transmission.
AWS DeepRacer FTL 프로젝트를 활용한 자율주행 환경 개발

This study proposes an approach to optimize the development of autonomous vehicles based on ROS 2 (Robot Operating System 2) using the AWS DeepRacer platform and open-source software. The paper implements autonomous driving functionality using the existing Follow the Leader (FTL) project, while optimizing system installation, package building, and environment variable configuration by utilizing the ROS 2 Foxy Fitzroy distribution and Intel OpenVINO Toolkit. During the research, system stability was enhanced by fixing errors in the rplidar_ros package and resolving communication issues between nodes. Various computer vision techniques were applied for object detection and lane recognition. The results of this study increase the usability of open-source autonomous driving development environments and present new possibilities for building and expanding ROS 2-based autonomous driving systems.
