        흡연이 구강병 관련 세균과 Human Papillomavirus의 검출에 미치는 영향

        Smoking is a risk factor for oral leukoplakia and oral cancer, as well as lung cancer, cardiovascular diseases and many other systemic diseases. Smoking is considered increasing factor of some oral diseases involved indigenous bacteria. In addition, a relationship between smoking and infection of Human papillomavirus (HPV), which is associated with oropharyngeal cancer, remains unclear. The aim of this study is to assess whether smoking has an impact on increase of bacteria inducing oral disease such as dental caries and periodontitis,and HPV infection. DNA of saliva gathered from smokers and non-smokers, consisted of men and women, was analyzed using PCR. Oral disease-causing bacteria were more detected in men smokers than men non-smokers and HPV was most found in women non-smokers. Taken together, this study suggests smoking is related with variation of oral microorganism existence in some way.       • 말씀으로 본 통일가 신앙의 목적과 방법에 대한 연구 : 성약시대 이전과 이후의 말씀 비교를 중심으로

        말씀선집에는 신앙을 주제로한 참부모님의 말씀은 26개 있는데 이 가운데 성약시대 이전의 신앙에 대한 참부모님의 이해를 알 수 있는 것은 23개이고, 3개는 성악시대 이후의 신앙에 대한 참부모님의 이해를 알 수 있다. 여기서는 이 두 가지의 서로 다른 섭리적 배경을 가지고 있는 말씀을 분석 해서 성약시대를 살아가고있는 통일교인들의 신앙생활을 올바로 이해하고자 한다. 이를 위해 통일교 신앙의 목적과 단위, 그리고 방법 등을 성약시대 이전과 이후를 비교 고찰하도록 한다.

        성장호르몬결핍이 저신장 소아의 치아발육에 미치는 영향에 대한 융합 분석

        이 연구는 치아발육단계에서 성장호르몬 결핍의 영향을 알아보기 위해서 성장호르몬 결핍이나 특발성 저신장 소아와 정상 소아 간의 차이를 분석하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 영남대학교 의과대학 부속병원 소아청소년과에서 저신장 으로 진단받은 소아들을 성장호르몬 결핍인 대상자와 특발성 저신장 소아로 분류하였다. 구강 파노라마와 신체지수를 계측하여 치아발육과의 관계를 분석하였다. 성장호르몬 결핍성 저신장 소아와 특발성 저신장 소아 간의 유의한 차이는 측절치에서만 나타났다. 성장호르몬 결핍성 저신장 소아와 정상 소아 간에는 모든 치아에서 성장호르몬 결핍성 저신장 소아의 발육이 유의하게 늦은 것으로 나타났다. 결론적으로 저신장 소아에서 성장호르몬 결핍성 저신장 소아나 특발성 저신장 소아 모두 신장뿐만 아니라 치아 발육 역시 영향을 받은 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구는 향후 저신장 소아의 교정치 료 프로토콜의 기초자료를 제시할 수 있을 것으로 기대한다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the differences among short statured children with growth hormone deficiency, idiopathic, and normal children in order to find the effect of growth hormone deficiency on tooth developmental stage. We classified children diagnosed with short stature at the Pediatrics in Yeungnam University Hospital as subjects due to idiopathic and growth hormone deficiency. We analyzed the relationship between short stature and tooth development through the measuring of oral panorama and body index. Only the eruption of lateral incisors showed significant difference between short statured with growth hormone deficiency and idiopathic. Almost all tooth eruption was significantly delayed on short statured children with growth hormone deficiency compared to average group. In conclusion, short stature children with either growth hormone deficiency or idiopathic were affected not only in their somatic stature but also dental maturity. We look forward to this study presenting basic data for orthodontic therapy.

        Alteration of Epithelial Properties by Culture Condition in HPV16 E6/E7-immortalized Human Oral Keratinocytes

        Cellular microenvironment is an essential issue for regulating epithelial characteristics through the alteration of intricate signaling pathways and intercellular communications in different cell types. Thus, microenvironment influences tumor initiation, progression, and metastasis. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between microenvironment and epithelial property in HPV16E6/E7-immortalized human oral keratinocytes (IHOKs). To investigate characteristics of IHOK cultured in different media, two media were used, which included keratinocyte growth media (KGM), F-medium composed of 3:1 ratio of DMEM and F-12 (P media) supplemented with 10% FBS and 1% penicillin/streptomycin. Proliferative property and invasive and migratory activity were observed. As results, proliferating activities of IHOK in different culture condition were changed. Likewise, migratory and invasive activities were also different depending on media types. These results suggest that cellular microenvironment can affect modification of biological properties of epithelial cells.

        구강상피세포의 배양환경의 차이에 의한 마이크로어레이 기반 유전자 발현의 융복합 분석

        This study was analyzed about the relationship between culture microenvironment and cell differentiation of HPV 16 E6/E7-transfected immortalized oral keratinocyte(IHOK). By the alteration of culture environment, IHOK-EF and IHOK-EFKGM were obtained, and the modulation of cell properties was observed by cell proliferation assay, immunofluorescence, microarray, and quantitative real-time PCR analysis. IHOK-EF losed the properties of epithelial cells and obtained the properties of mesenchymal cells, and in the result of microarray analysis, genes related to the inhibition of differentiation such as IL6, TWIST1, and ID2 were highly expressed in IHOK-EF. When the culture environment was recovered to initial environment, these changes were recovered partially, presenting the return of genes involved in the inhibition of differentiation such as IL6, and ID2, particularly. This study will contribute to understand adjustment aspect for cell surviving according to the change of culture microenvironment in the study for determining the cell characteristic, and facilitate therapeutic approach for human disease by applying surviving study according to the change of cancer microenvironment. 이 연구는 HPV 16 E6/E7 도입 불멸화 구강상피세포의 배양 미세환경과 세포 분화간의 관계를 분석하였다. 배양환경을 변화시켜서 IHOK-EF 세포와 IHOK-EFKGM 세포를 얻었고, 이들 세포의 특성변화를 세포증식분석, 면역형광분석 및 마이크로어레이와 실시간 정량 PCR분석으로 알아보았다. IHOK-EF 세포는 상피세포의 특성을 상실하고 간엽세포의 특성을 획득하였고, 마이크로어레이 분석결과, 분화억제 유전자인 ID2, IL6, TWIST1이 과발현 되었다. 이러한 변화는 초기의 배양환경으로 회복되었을 때, 특별히, ID2와 IL6에서 유전자발현의 복귀를 나타내면서 세포의 특성이 부분적으로 회복되었다. 이 연구는 세포의 특성을 결정하는 연구에서 배양 미세환경의 변화에 따른 세포의 생존을 위한 적응양상을 이해하는데 공헌할 것이며, 향후, 암세포의 미세환경변화에 따른 생존연구에 적용하여 질병에 대한 치료적 접근을 가능하게 할 것이다.

        A Study on the Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Stress Handling Methods of Dental Hygiene

        Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the association between emotional intelligence and stress handling in dental hygienists and develop strategies to relieve job stress and cope with stress efficiently. Methods: 170 dental hygienists currently working at dental hospitals and clinics in Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province participated in this study. WLEIS and the stress handling scale were used to analyze their general and work-related characteristics and emotional intelligence. Results: The older, the more educated, and the higher position, the higher emotional intelligence; the administrators had higher emotional intelligence than those in charge of prevention; and those more intimate with other members had significantly higher emotional intelligence. The more educated and the more intimate with other members, the more likely to use a stress handling method. Stress handling methods were significantly positively correlated with emotional intelligence in general; problem-based and social support-pursuing handling methods among the sub-areas of stress handling methods were significantly positively correlated with emotional intelligence. Conclusion: It is necessary to apply a program that can improve emotional intelligence in managing stress for dental hygienists; stress handling and hospital personnel management schemes can be used by running an emotional intelligence improvement program on a regular basis in clinical practice.

        염증성 사이토카인과 구강 편평세포암종

        Inflammation functions as a double-edged sword against external stimulus. For instance, inflammation can have anti-cancer effect and simultaneously can play cancer-promoting factors. Recent studies have shown that cytokine plays an important role in tumor biology by influencing tumor growth, invasion and metastasis. We classify these cytokines by cancer type and review current knowledge of cytokines in terms of carcinogenesis. Here, we also focus on whether cytokines can act as biomarkers for early detection of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). This review will provide basis for further approach to study the role of cytokines in carcinogenesis and evaluating the possibilities of cytokines as biomarkers for cancer detection
