The performance of a microwave missile seeker and radar operating in an air-to-air look-down mode is strongly influenced by the presence of ground clutter In order to correctly account for the effects of ground clutter, it is required to develop a model capable of representing clutter characteristics as a function of range and/or frequency. In this paper, a program to estimate the clutter reflectivity for various ground conditions is developed, using the actually measured data and the data available from open literatures. In addition, clutter characteristics measured for various ground conditions such as sea, agricultural area, urban city and industrial area through the captive flight tests are presented.
GMAW 루트패스 이면비드 용접에서 아크력제어에 의한 갭변동 극복 방법

In most industry, manual GTAW welding is preferred for formation of stable back bead in root weld of butt joint. However, manual GTAW welding has low productivity as compared with GMAW, also it has unstable bead quality which depend on skilled workers. So it is necessary to develop process of root pass welding by using automation GMAW that have stable back bead formation and high productivity. In this paper, the design of U-groove with 3mm root face was applied to extend the tolerance of misalignment in condition of standard root gap 1.5mm. Consequently, for the formation of stable back bead in root pass of butt welding, in case of the narrow root gap(0.5mm) the large arc force was applied by increasing the current and voltage. In case of the large root gap(2.5mm), the small arc force was applied by decreasing the current and voltage. Considering the various root gap, the required deposited metal was controlled by welding speed only.

Nephrotic syndrome in childhood is known to be associated with a hypercoagulable state and thromboembolic complications, among which cerebral venous thrombosis is a very rare and serious one, with only a few isolated reports in the literature. A 9-year-old boy with known nephrotic syndrome was admitted due to a relapse with massive proteinuria and generalized edema. He complained of a prolonged frontal headache. The enhanced brain magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) showed a high signal in the region of the superior sagittal sinus and right transverse sinus consistent with a thrombus. He was managed with steroids, cyclosporine and warfarin. His headache subsided 2 weeks later and proteinuria resolved 1 month later. An MRI 2 months later was normal. We describe this case and review the literature to emphasize the importance of recognizing this potentially life threatening complication and initiating anticoagulation therapy.
Asymmetric Capacitive Sensor for On-line and Real-time Partial Discharge Detection in Power Cables

Partial discharges (PD) have long been recognized as a major contributing factor to catastrophic failures in high-power equipment. As the demand for high voltage direct current (HVDC) facilities continues to rise, the significance of on-line and real-time monitoring of PD becomes increasingly prominent. In this study, we have designed, fabricated, and characterized a highly sensitive and cost-effective PD sensor comprising a pair of copper electrodes with different arc lengths. The key advantage of our sensor is its non-invasive nature, as it can be installed at any location along the entire power cable without requiring structural modifications. In contrast, conventional PD sensors are typically limited to installation at cable terminals or insulation joint boxes, often necessitating invasive alterations. Our PD sensor demonstrates exceptional accuracy in estimating PD location, with a success rate exceeding 95% in the straight sections of the power cable and surpassing 89% in curved sections. These remarkable characteristics indicate its high potential for real-time and on-line detection of PD.
Electron diffusion properties in DSSCs by simple Stepped Light Induced Transient measurement

The measurement of electron diffusion coefficients and electron lifetimes of dye sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) is essentially required to characterize the cell performance, further investigate high performance solar cells. In this research, stepped light induced transient measurements (SLIM) of photocurrent and voltage is conducted to estimate the electron diffusion coefficients and electron lifetimes of DSSCs. SLIM methods is relatively simple experiment, which can simplify the optical setup and reduce measuring time. In this method, the light having different laser intensity is irradiated to the solar cells with using chopper for lighting on/off. Through measuring the decays of short circuit current and open circuit voltage, the diffusion coefficient and lifetime of photo-generated electron in DSSCs are estimated, subsequently diffusion length is obtained.

A dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) employing a polypyrrole-1 (PPy1), polypyrrole-2 (PPy2) and polypyrrole-2/multi wall carbon nanotube composite film (PPy2/MWCNT) counter electrodes (CEs) modified by different electrolyte composition. It is shown that the introduction of anionic surfactant, sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), enhanced the catalytic activity, thus leading to an improvement in the performance of PPy2. Further, introduction of MWCNT resulted in increase in conversion efficiency of DSSCs with PPy2/MWCNT composite film. The Tafel and electrochemical impedance analysis revealed that the PPy2 and PPy2/MWCNT CEs prepared with anionic surfactant possessed more catalytic activity and lower charge transfer resistance in comparison with PPy1-based CE. This resulted in a better conversion efficiency of 5.88% for PPy2/MWCNT- based DSSC under 1 sun condition, reaching 86% of the DSSC based on reference CE (6.86%).
2P-456 Long Wave length Absorbing Iso-Indigo chromophore for the Dye Sensitized Solar Cells

In DSSC, the dye sensitizer is one of the most important component that determines the photo-response and initiates the primary steps of photon absorption and the subsequent electron transfer process. It was known that Ru-complex exhibited the best performance in DSSC as a sensitizer. However, the dye has some limitations like the large scale application of complex because of the costs and environmental issues. Especially, the blue organic dye has some advantages in terms of the expansion of optical absorption spectrum up to 600nm. There are several blue dyes including aniline blue, bromophenol, alcian blue, isoindigo. Among them, Isoindigo-based sensitizers can result in broad spectral response even upto near NIR region and beneficial to light-harvesting for high electricity conversion efficiency. In this paper, we designed and synthesized the iso-indigo chromophoric organic blue sensitizers and evaluated the photon-to-current efficiency in DSSC.
