Thermal Management System of Fuel cell vehicle stack is important technology for improving stack output efficiency and cold start performance. Rapid coolant heating apparatus is device which raise coolant temperature of FCEV stack to help optimized stack temperature level with high voltage electric heaters. In this study, CFD analysis of internal heat and mass transfer characteristics for rapid heating apparatus is conducted and obtain pre-design factors with temperature profile on electric heater surface and velocity profile of coolant flow. With design change of electric heater location and coolant flow distributer, coolant distribution rate is improved within 1.3% between two outlet ports and 200K temperature down effect on heater surface.

The purpose of A/C system in the vehicle is to have a driver comfortable by adjusting temperature and humidity. To increase this A/C system efficiency, it is good way to increase compressor’s performance. But, if compressor"s performance is increased with noise, it will not be good design. The purpose of this study is, by optimizing Rear Head’s refrigerant path, to increase compressor’s performance and decrease noise value in the vehicle. In this paper, to satisfy compressor’s performance and noise we conducted CFD analysis, performance test, pulsation test, bulk noise test and real car noise test. Through these experiments, we could design optimization discharge system of scroll compressor.

In the process of developing HCU (Hydraulic Control Unit) of MANDO ESP (Electrical Stability Program) System, several designs of pump are suggested. There are many ways to improve the performance of a pump, nevertheless, several parameters are considered to optimize the performance in this study: spring constant, and shape of Spring Support. In order to analyze performance of pump in each case, two-dimensional CFD analysis is conducted. The main interest in this study is in change of pressure inside the piston assembly and outlet valve assembly during the Pumping operation.
