        『여권의 옹호』: 여성 교육과 공화국의 미래

        The Vindication of the Rights of Woman was intended as an improvement on the legislation for national education Talleyrand submitted to the National Assembly after the Revolution. She of course does not confine her discussions to France; she argues that any civilized nation should open its school systems, especially the elementary level, to both boys and girls because only then men and women will develop a genuine understanding of each other, and thereby will be able to form a balanced and truly healthy relationship and become good parents for their offsprings. In the first section of the essay, I examine how the gender gap, was deepened and reinforced in the process of Industrial Revolution and the expansion of the middle class. In the second section, I look at the dire consequences of the misguided education Wollstonecraft describes in the Vindication. She then argues for a state-funded national school system for children of both sexes and describes how such a system will result in healthier and more enlightened society in the long run. Like many intellectuals of various political orientations in her time, Wollstonecraft felt education is one of the surest and most important means of social change, and her high expectations for it is reflected most clearly in her description of properly educated women and what they can do for the community.         메어리 울스톤크래프트의 소설에 나타난 낭만성과 페미니스트 담화의 문제

        To her contempories, Mary Wollstonecraft was known for her militant vindications of human rights, women`s rights, and the sovereignty of reason. In various works that made her an international celebrity two centuries ago, she argued that reason in every man and woman calls for and makes possible a just society. This essay studies how Wollstonecraft`s attitude toward sensibility manifests itself in her novels Mary and Maria. The paper also identifies various forces that contributed to the formation of this attitude, including the autobiographical elements, the sensibility or sentimental novels, and the influence of Rousseau. Her two novels combine these Romantic influences in various ways: the nature of subjectivity of the female protagonists, their relationships with men and society in general, and how their Romantic (individualistic and emotion-centered) attitudes clash with the dominant social reality and cause them to suffer painful consequences. However, it is important to see that the two novels feature several devices to keep the readers from uncritically identifying with the female characters. Although the two novels seem to reflect a favorable view of the forces that made up the Romantic side of Wollstonecraft`s work, she invariably tries to warn her readers of the personal and societal dangers these forces might bring about. To establish a critical distance in her readers, Wollstonecraft creates a gap between the narrator and the protagonists, and offers different points of focus and different narratives. These devices are used to further her feminist agenda in these otherwise highly autobiographical and sentimental novels. Additionally, they demonstrate how difficult it must have been for their author to maintain a balance between the rationalist stance she firmly believed in, and the sentimental and Romantic sensibility that came to dominate the European literary scene for the next three decades, of which she herself was a precursor.

        여가라이프스타일 척도 준거타당도 검증 연구

        This study was examined the reliability and the criterion-related validity of the leisure life style scale to test its functional efficiency. Useable data were collected from 340 university students(157 male and 183 female). Principle axis analysis with promax rotation was used to assess if the data would result in distinct leisure life style dimensions and reliability coefficients(Cronbach`s alpha) were used to examine the internal consistency of the score generated from each factor. Results indicated that six factors were found: `leisure helplessness`, `family-centered`, `sensation seeking`, `relation-centered`, `reasonable planning`, and `work-centered`, explaining 54.26% of the variance. The LLS scale yielded a CMIN/DF 1.375, GFI .914, TLI .939, RMSA .036 that indicated an acceptable level of fit with no additional modification suggested. Cronbach`s alpha reliability coefficient of each factor was suitable. Pearson product-moment correlation coefficients were calculated. Results revealed moderate associations among the leisure-related factors and psychological health factors. Especially, `helplessness` factor was negatively related to leisure-related factors and psychological health factors but `sensation seeking` and `reasonable planning` were positively related to. According to these results, the factor structures were suitable and the criterion-related validity was high.

        한국 기혼여성근로자의 일-가정 양립 관련 가치관이 일-가정 갈등 및 촉진에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 기혼여성근로자의 일-가정 갈등과 촉진에 미치는 가치관 변인의 영향력을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 수행되었다. 30대-50대 기혼여성근로자 311명의 자료가 수집되었으며, 분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 일지향성과 외재적 일가치는 일-가정 갈등에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 일지향성과 가족지향성은 일-가정 촉진에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 특히 가족지향성은 일지향성과 일-가정 촉진과의 관계에서 조절효과가 있는 것으로 드러났다. 즉 일지향적이면서 가족지향적인 가치관은 일-가정 촉진을 더욱 증가시키는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 일-가정 양립 관련 가치관 변인들이 일-가정 갈등과 일-가정 촉진을 설명하는 총 설명변량을 비교해 본 결과, 일-가정 갈등보다 일-가정 촉진을 2배 이상 더 많이 설명하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이상의 결과는 일-가정 양립 관련 가치관 변인이 일-가정 촉진을 설명하는 중요한 변인이며, 학문적 관심이 더욱 필요함을 시사한다. This article was aimed to investigate the effects of ‘values related to work-family balance’ on work-family conflict and facilitation. Participants were 311 married working women, who were in the thirties fifties. The major findings of this study were as follows. First, work-orientation and extrinsic work value had significant positive influence on work-family conflict. Second, in addition that both of work-orientation and family-orientation had positive effect on work-family facilitation, it was revealed that family-orientation showed moderating effect on work-orientation and work-family facilitation. Third, the variance of independent variables on work-family facilitation was twice as much as on work-family conflict. These results indicated that ‘values related to work-family balance’ were important factors as well as were worthy of notice when it comes to work-family facilitation.

        여가라이프스타일 척도의 구성타당도 검증

        The purpose of the present study was to test the reliability and the construct validity of the leisure life style(LLS) scale developed by Woo & Sohn(2009). A convenience sample of 272 employed adults(male: 149, female: 123) was obtained in Korea. Statistical procedures included descriptive statistic, exploratory factor analysis(EFA), internal consistency, and confirmatory factor analysis(CFA). The EFA results were shown that the LLS scale was consisted with the study of Woo & Sohn(2009). Results indicated that 7 LLS factors composed in 43 items were extracted: 'reasonable planning', 'sensation seeking', leisure helplessness', 'accessability', 'relation-centered', 'family-centered', and 'work-centered'. However, the EFA results of this study was more effective than the study of Woo & Sohn(2009). For example, the cumulative % of variance was improved from 43.71 to 50.08 and factor items were reduced from 62 to 43, and reliability was improved. Next, EFA was conducted to test the factor validity of this inventory with AMOS 7.0. Several goodness of fit indices was used to assess model fit: X²/df, GFI, TLI, CFI, RMSEA. The LLS scale yielded a X²/df=1.964, GFI=.896, TLI=.913, CFI=.918, RMSEA=.062 that indicated an acceptable level of fit with no additional modification suggested.

        대학생의 여가라이프스타일에 따른 여가소비 및 심리적 특성

        The present study was to investigate what leisure lifestyles were existed among a sample of university students, and particularly, how leisure lifestyle influenced leisure consumption and psychological health-related factor. A sample of 468 students from universities located into Seoul and Kyonggi province was obtained and analyzed. The results are as follows. first, three clustered types of leisure lifestyle were posited. First type of leisure lifestyle(active leisure) has a high level of sensation seeking and a lowest level of leisure helplessness. Second type of leisure lifestyle(ied to exdetivation) has a low level of leisure detivation and a high level of leisure helplessness. Third type of leisure lifestyle(surk-centered famicyileisure) shows that surk is dere important than leisure in life and is tend to have famicisticfied to activity. Secondly, there are statistically distinct differences between leisure consumption and psychological health-related factors among three types of leisure lifestyle.

        진지한 여가에 관한 국내외 연구동향

        The research of serious leasure in Korea has developed rapidly for the past 10 years. At this point of time, it is important to consider the trend and make a comparative study because it suggests the future research direction. The objects of analysis for the research are the related researches in four foreign journals and five domestic journals from 2000 to 2011. Total 33 studies from abroad and 32 studies from domestic from electronic journal database are analyzed with content analysis on the basis of annually reported studies, major subject and trend from foreign and domestic journals, research method, select standard of the surveyed and etc, As a result, some meaningful results are drawn, First of all, the domestic trend on the serious leisure can be divided into three different period, The first period is from 2000 to 2003. At that time, the concept of the serious leisure was introduced but had insufficient understand and mixed meaning of the terms, The second period is from 2004 to 2007, At that time, it tended to use the meaning of the term serious leisure constantly, And the research to explore the characteristics of the leisure activity as serious leisure was processed, The third period is from 2008 to 2011, At that time, the criteria for the serious leisure was developed and the quantities of the studies are risen.

        경력단절여성의 진로적응성, 진로장벽 및 재취업 이득/손실의 지각이 재취업욕구에 미치는 영향

        본 연구는 경력단절여성의 진로적응성, 진로장벽, 재취업 이득/손실의 지각이 재취업욕구에 미치는 영향을 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 결혼, 임신, 출산, 육아 등의 이유로 경력단절이 되었으며, 그 기간이 1년 이상인 30-40대 기혼 여성 288명을 대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 그 결과, 가족의 취업요구정도와 진로적응성, 재취업 이득에 대한 지각이 재취업욕구에 유의하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났으며, 가정 및 사회지원, 진로장벽, 재취업 손실에 대한 지각은 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 진로적응성 하위 요인이 재취업욕구에 미치는 영향력을 살펴보기 위해 추가분석을 실시한 결과, 취업필요성에 대한 확신, 취업자신감획득, 취업을 위한 가족설득, 일-가정 병행을 위한 인지적 재구성이 재취업욕구를 높이는데 주요하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다. 이상의 결과를 토대로 경력단절여성의 재취업욕구를 향상시킬 수 있는 방안에 대해 논의하였다. The purpose of this study was to find out effects of career adaptability, career barriers and reemployment gain/loss on need for reemployment. 288 married women aged in their 30s or 40s whose careers were interrupted for more than one year due to marriages, pregnances, deliveries and infant care were surveyed. It was found that expectation of family members for employment, career adaptability and awareness of gain in reemployment had significant effects on need for reemployment, while the support of family/neighbors, career barriers, awareness of reemployment loss were not statistically significant. When examining the effects of subfactors of career adaptability on need for reemployment, it was found that stable belief on the importance of getting a job, confident attitude in employment, persuasion of family for employment and cognitive restructuring for work-family balance were significant. This study discussed the way to improve the need for reemployment of career interrupted women based on above mentioned findings.

        기혼 직장여성의 사회적 지지가 일과 삶의 균형에 미치는 영향

        본 연구의 목적은 기혼 직장여성의 사회적 지지가 일과 삶의 균형에 미치는 영향을 검증하는 것이다. 이러한 목적을 수행하기 위하여 전국의 30-50대 전일제 정규직 근무자 총 253명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 후, 위계적 회귀분석을 이용하여 연구문제를 검증하였으며 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 미취학 자녀는 기혼 직장여성의 WLB 전반, 일-성장 균형 및 일-여가 균형에 부적 영향을 미치는 주요한 공통 요인이었으며, 월 평균급여가 높아질수록 일-가족 균형에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 동료 및 상사지원 및 가족 지지가 높을수록 WLB 수준이 전반적으로 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 동료 및 상사지원과 회사의 WLB 지원제도에 대한 만족도가 높을수록 연구 대상자들의 일-성장 균형이 향상되는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 회사의 WLB지원제도에 대한 만족도, 가사분담 만족도 및 가족지지의 순으로 일-여가 균형에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 가족지지는 일-가족 균형의 향상에 정적 영향을 미치는 유일한 변인인 것으로 나타났다. The purpose of this study is to empirically examine the effects of social supports for married working women to work life balance(WLB). This purpose is achieved in the following steps. First, we surveyed 253 regular full-time female workers aged between 30s and 50s who are sampled from the South Korea. Second, we analyzed the data using the hierarchical regression and obtained the following results. (1) When they have non-schooling children, it negatively affected the overall WLB, harmony of work-growth, and harmony of work-leisure. Furthermore, higher salary level negatively affects the harmony of work-family. (2) The overall WLB level increases as they have more supports from colleagues, supervisors, and family. (3) The level of the harmony of work-growth also increases as they have more satisfactions from the supports of colleagues and supervisors. (4) The harmony of work-leisure is positively associated with the satisfaction of WLB supporting systems of their works, satisfaction from sharing family duties, and/or family supports, with the same order of extents to the association. Finally, family support is the unique variable that affects positively the harmony of work-family.
