        This study aimed to propose the evaluation model of forecasting visual quality of aprtement buildings, thich would be a useful tool to make the architectural concepts correspondent with user needs. This study was carried out through the four-step experiments as follows. The first step is to grasp the user's visual evaluation construct. To do this, the 22 adjective phrases were etracted, which were applicable to all apartment buildings. The second step is to analyze the user's visual preference, which is measured as the user's psychological quantity on the apartment buildings by S. D.(Semantic Differential) Method. The third step is to analyze the five psychological-factors abtained by the Factor Analysis. The perceptual images on the 41 experimental subjects were checked up though evaluatingand analyzing the factor scores of each subjects for each psychological-factor. The fourth step is to analyze, it was identified how the similarity of various characters in a building is mirrored on the user's psychological quantity and how buildings are grouped by it.

        본 연구에서는 금세기 도시형 주거양식의 한 부분이 영국 도시계획의 아버지라고 칭해지는 언윈(Unwin Raymond, 1863-l940)에 의해 이루어지기 시작했음에 주목하고, 그의 주택지 계획 기법을 체계적으로 정리하고자 하는 일련의 연구 중의 한 부분으로, 그의 대표적 주택지 계획인 햄스테드 전원도시를 대상으로 여러지구들을 선정하고, 주택지 계획의 특징을 분석하려 한다. 언윈의 계획 기법의 중요한 특성으로는 쾌적함 넘치는 저층 저밀도의 주택지 구성이었다. 새로운 주택지 자인의 표현으로 주호 그룹화의 수법을 개발하여 닫힌, 정리된 느낌을 만들었다. 또 변화가 풍부한 개성을 연출하는 거리를 조성하였다. This paper has attempted to analyze the site planning theories of Raymond Unwin (l863-1940), who is called the father of British town planning. His main contribution was to establish the site planning of garden suburb and the British-type of urban housing style. Here is analyzed the syntactic relations between urban districts and ousing designs in the English garden suburbs. Which is pitomized in Hampstead Garden Suburb, Middlesex, planned by Unwin from 1906. It could be pointed out that the main character of his ideas were 'amenity' that the residential areas were composed of low-density, low-rise houses. The small enclosed space with that he definitely originated a new technique: Housing Group. And it produced informal streetscape design.

        The main residential areas handled by Unwin are New Earswick(designed 1901), Letchworth (1903) and Hampstead Garden Suburb(1905). And his housing estate technique has influenced the world, and even in posterity development it has rarely exceeded the level of Unwin. To receive high praise, all his planning techniques came from all three cities. Therefore the study looked at the planning and development process for New Earswick among these three cities, in which the role of Unwin and the characteristics of his suburban residential area planning.

        To estimate the maximum bending stress with multi-span beam under concentrated loads, this paper suggest mathematical model by using average strain which overcome the defects of point sensors. With the average strains, the mathematical model suggests moment diagrams of members, concentrated loads, deflection of supports. It makes it possible to monitor a structure which is consist of multi-span beam continuously.

        In this study, the shared facilities and space in the multi-family housing so that residents could maintains contacts with their neighbors were investigate and analyzed. Data were collected by questionnaire survey in 1991 in Seoul and Taejon metropolitan area. A total of 518 questionnaire were completed by apartment residents of which mostly were housewives. The following are the results of this study. It could find the shared facilities and space so that residents could maintain contacts with their neighbors after surveying the dweller's requirements. Also it could specify the planning of the shared facilities. Analyzing resident's requirement of set-up location, this study lead to the following suggestions concerning facilities design : In the first neighborhood-circle, it require to be related the household affairs of housewives on the adjacent space to a dwelling-unit.

        The purposes of this study are analyzing characteristics of exterior design of foreign apartment buildings, and searching the new directions of exterior design planning of domestic apartment, so it can plan the qualitative improvement of housing environments. This study will proceed to examine the following phase. As a preliminary study it try to analyze the formal characteristics of foreign apartment through fieldwork and data research, and we try to grasp the general ideas and methods of the exterior-view planning through analyzing various exterior-design samples in the well designed housings. And it try to searching the variation methods of the exterior design through suggesting the various exterior design samples of housing buildings.

        아파트 단지내에서 생활시설과 공간에 대한 주민요구고아 설치계획연구

        In this study, the shared facilities and space in the multi-family housing which residents could maintain contacts with their neighbors were investigated and analyzed. It could find the shared facilities and space so that residents could maintain to contact with their neighbors after surveying the dwellers requirements. Also it could specify the importance of the neighborhood common spaces and the conditions for the planning of the shared facilities. Analyzing residents requirement of set-up location, this study lead to the following suggestions concerning the facilities design: In the first neighborhood-circle, it require to be related the household affairs of housewives on the adjacent space to a dwelling-unit. In the second neighborhood-circle, it require especially the facilities for children play, study, reading, hobby etc. These facilities need establish each 4-5 floor in high-rise building estates. The roof & underground floors has been recognized in important & essential place for living facilities. Therefore, it is needed to improve to get ready to receive the various facilities.

      • 영국의 전원 교외와 그 주택에 관한 연구

        본 연구는 영국 전원교외에서 도시계획과 주택 건축사이 의장 관계를 고찰하는 것이다. 연구 대상으로는 햄스테드 전원교외이며, 전체 계획을 수행했던 레이몬드 언윈은 도시계획가에 의해 계획되는 도로와 건축가에 의해 설계되는 주동사이에 의장상 조화를 중요시하고, 주저서 ⌜도시계획의 실천중에서 1)쿨데삭 도로 쿼드앵글형 주동, 2)도로 교차점 버터플라이형 주동, 3)곡선 도로 크레센트주동이라고 하는 3 가지 유형의 도로-주동 모델을 제안하고 있다. 제안된 실례들을 조사 분석하고, 햄스테드 전원교외에서 도로--주거동의 의장상 상관 특징을 분명하게 하면서, 언윈 모델의 유효성을 검증한다. 여기서는 곡선 도로 크레센트 주동과 도로 교차점 버터플라이형 주동의 편성에 관한 분석을한다.
