        지향처(志向處) 세우기(:立志) 교육의 인성교육(人性敎育)적 의의

        This thesis aimed at making clear the matters what the ethics subject teachers must solve to help the IPJI(立志)* for the secondary school students. At first, the ethics subject teachers in the secondary school must explain the meaning of IPJI, and the good conditions of IPJI, and then must give an opportunity to announce each other student`s IPJI. At this time, the contents of announcement will be formed with the introduction of IPJI, the reason of the establishment of IPJI, and the method for the establishment of IPJI. In the second chapter, these problems were dealed with. The WONRYEOK(願力)** was required for the achievement of IPJI. For cultivating the WONRYEOK, first of all, we must cultivate the JUNGRYEOK(定力)***. And at this thesis, the writer introduced the method of training for sitting in meditation which is the method for cultivating the JUNGRYEOK. And the writer announced the effect of cultivating the JUNGRYEOK, cultivating the WONRYEOK, and cultivating four important power in life. And the writer made clear the educational meanings of building up human nature through the IPJI. In the third, fourth, fifth chapter the writer dealed with these problems.

      • 남명학파의 문화공간과 그 활용방안 -한국선비문화연구원 일원을 중심으로-

        In this paper, the writer tried to research the meaning of hardware in the area of KSCI, which would be built up until June of this year(2015). After this study, the writer tried to research the meaning of software, such as the thoughts, the spirit, and the Ideology of Nammyeong(南冥). As the result, the writer presented the Ideology of true Seonbi focused on the GyeongYi(敬義) thoughts, the Ideology of strong and good cultual nation as korean future vision, and the spirit of harmony and comprehension. After this study, the writer tried to research the method to use these hardware and software. As the result, the writer presented the method for using the space to research the actual Seonbi spirit, to teach human being``s good personality, to show and experience the aspect of cultual sight-seeing, and to spread the ideal culture for Korean unification in near future. Especially the writer gave the strong present to use his important paper of old year, which was called Sinmyeongsado(神明舍圓). This paper has very important meanings in the area of education for human being``s good personality. For this purpose, the writer presented to build the building to play game according to the principal of Sinmyeongsado(神明舍圓). Finally the author stressed on researching the culture of Gaya(伽椰), which was regarded as the root of Nammyeong School, and preparing the programme for 3 week education, because 21 days are regarded as the numbers for changing self.

      • 고려 이전의 진주권역 불교문화 발굴과 활용방안

        In this paper, I examined the excavation of cultural assets and their practical use in the Jinju cultural area of Buddhism, which includes four cities and eight counties in the western Gyeongnam province, prior to the Goryeo Dynasty. In relation to this research, I highlighted five important temples from a historical perspective. These temples are Chilbulsa (located in Hadong County), Okcheonsa (in Goseong County), Dansoksa (in Sancheong County, an ancient site with no current buildings), Mitasa (in the ancient Jinju area, though its exact location is unknown), and Ssanggyesa (also in Hadong County). Initially, I researched the practical use of Chilbulsa(七佛寺). It is important to note that this temple was built during the Silla(新羅) Dynasty, not during the Gaya(伽倻) Dynasty. Furthermore, the temple is significant for its connection to Sundosun(仙道仙), a form of spiritual enlightenment achieved through Silla’s unique practice known as Sundo(仙道). To attain Sundosun, one must engage in Silla’s distinctive music, such as mastering the Geomungo, a traditional string instrument. Secondly, I researched the practical use of Okcheonsa(玉泉寺). This temple has a tradition of safeguarding the homeland through Buddhist principles, a legacy initiated by the great monk Yisang(義湘大師), who founded the temple during the period of unified Silla. To honor this spirit, I proposed the construction of a building dedicated to the monks who protected the homeland, including Yisang. In this building, we will display their portraits and provide explanations of their patriotic activities, all of which are connected to this temple. The insights into their patriotic efforts will serve as a significant source of inspiration for us. Thirdly, I researched the practical use of Dansoksa(斷俗寺). In the past, many renowned Zen monks resided at this temple, the most notable being the great Zen master Sinhaeng(神行禪師). He traveled to the Tang(唐) kingdom to study Northern Zen(北宗禪) in China After returning to Silla, he stayed at Dansoksa and taught the methods and philosophies of Northern Zen Several of his students achieved the highest levels of spiritual enlightenment. The key aspect of his teaching was concentrated meditation on a single point, which could only be perceived by spiritual insight, and he emphasized the importance of maintaining this state. I believe that his teachings are highly effective for attaining spiritual enlightenment in Buddhism. Therefore, I proposed the revival of this training method at the temple. To make this practical, we need to rebuild Dansoksa Once the temple is restored, if we reintroduce the methods and teachings of Northern Zen, many students of Zen Buddhism today will be able to achieve the highest enlightenment more quickly and easily. Fourth, I researched the practical use of Mitasa(彌陀寺). During the period of the unified Silla Dynasty, a female slave named Ukmyeon(郁面) was a devoted follower of Amitabha. Her dedicated practice of praying to Amitabha(念佛修行) opened the path to paradise for her. Following her achievement, many devotees of Amitabha began to emerge in this area We must carry on this tradition. Fifth, I researched the practical use of Ssanggyesa(雙磎寺). Before the establishment of the Goryeo Dynasty, Ssanggyesa had dose ties to three significant figures who played important roles during the final period of unified Silla These were the great Zen master Jingam (眞鑑禪師), Heongdeok(興德王), the king of unified Silla, and the renowned scholar Choi Chi-won(崔致遠). I proposed the construction of a building to honor their numerous contributions to society. In this building, we will display their portraits, teach the meditation of tea, and feature Ersanbumpae(魚山梵唄), the representative ancient temple music from the Tang kingdom introduced by the great Zen master Jingam. Through these experiences, we can attain Buddhist enlightenment more easily. Lastly, I researched the practical use of various cultural assets within the Jinju cultural area of Buddhist temples. I identified seven cultural assets designated as national treasures, and I emphasized the importance of finding the most effective practical uses for these cultural assets.

      • 선비의 수양(修養)과 삶

        In this study, we have tried to figure out who the classical scholar is as a desirable Korean human character, in modem and future time, and how we could study to become a classical scholar. First of all, the classical scholar of the past is named as ``an old SEONBI`` and the coming scholar as ``a true SEONBI``. Next, their lives and studies have been explored. The contents are as follows. Firstly, ``Who is an old SEONBI, and how did he live and train? In this question, we have studied what an ideal world he dreamed was like and what his personal aims were. Then, we standardized his everyday life and whole life. Third, we explored how old SEONI3I trained and studied in the past. Finally, we tried to adduce how the old SEONBI was like by gathering up the above consideration. Secondly, ``Who is a true SEONBI, the coming scholar, and how should he live and train?`` In this question, we have explored an invariable number and variable number in scholar and scholar cultures. The next step is searching for some ways and qualifications for promoting ``a true SEONBI. In this stage, more specifically, we have explored vision of an ideal world, qualifications for becoming a true SEON13I and the ways of training. The third step is that we have studied some plans for promoting a true SEONBI`` through school personality education. In this stage, there are three plans-education for setting aims, meditation training and habituation- as intensive plans. Also, we modeled a desirable daily task as a suggestion. This could be a part of habituation, In conclusion, we suggested the aspects of coning ``a true SEONBI`s`` life and how a true SEONBI could be like by summing up the study so far.

      • 남명학과 인성교육의 방향

        In this paper, the writer aimed to research on the problem that when we would like to do the education for human being`s good personality(EHBGP) for the succession & spread of actual Seonbi culture at Korean Seonbi Culture Institute(KSCI), how we would decide on the future direction. The writer dealt with following problems. At first, the writer made a diagnosis about korean prsent times. Especially the writer stressed that korean people have faced national crisis. The Second time, the writer stressed on the necessity of the EHBGP and researched on the role of KSCI. In detail, the writer dealt with such as three problems. 1. The writer regared the creative leader who would be the ideal type of KSCI as Nammyeong in this times, and stressed that the creative leader would have to do the main role to realize the strong and good cultual nation as korean future vision. 2. The writer presented < the structual diagram of education for human being`s good personality for the successful life > which were based on the important contents of educational programme for human being`s good personality. 3. The writer researched on the good points of KSCI which were distinguished from another educational institute for human being`s good personality. At third, the writer made out the scheme about educational programme for human being`s good personality for the students of KSCI. Considering several types of students, the writer presented 1 week and 3 week programme model for human being`s good personality which were applied to everyone commonly. In conclusion, the writer stressed on the importance of personal organization of KSCI to do the optimum EHBGP.

        In this paper, the writer aimed to research that the Foundation for Promotion of Nammyeong Studies(FPNS) which will begin the duty as soon without delay must prepare what contents and method of the education for human being``s good personality, especially for middle- high school students. The writer stressed on the importance of researching educational programme for human being``s good personality(EPHBGP) for the succession & spread of actual Seonbi culture. Because The Law for Promotion the Education for Human Being``s Good Personality became effective from the 21th, July, 2015, the FPNS must become the main place for human being``s good personality for the succession & spread of actual Seonbi culture. In this paper, the writer dealed with the following contents. Who is true Seonbi or the creative leader? What meaning has the strong and good cultual nation as korean future vision? What are the beginning and concluding of the education for hwnan being``s good personality? What conditions we must satisfy in order to build up good life purpose? What does the following sentence-at one``s position, do one``s duty-mean? Before make good habit, we must prepare the good day-life-programme. What contents conclude in the good day-life-programme? When we divide with 1 week and 3 week programme, what contents must conclude each programme? I wrote this paper on the line of extending the paper A Study on the Space for Culture of Nammyeong School & the Research for the Using Method of This Space, which was published on the articles titled the 20th Nammyeong Studies in 2015.

      • 진주 불교문화권역의 사찰과 인물 고찰

        In this paper, I researched the following contents. I established Jinju cultural area of Buddhism at the historical view point. And researched the famous historical temples and monks who influenced on the following generations. As the result, I would like to offer general features of this area(Jinju cultural area of Buddhism). This area includes four cities and eight counties belong to western Gyeongnam province. The relative importance of this area in the position of Korean Buddhism, from past to present still had not been changed. The history of this area was divided four periods, as it was, ancient times, the former middle age times, the later middle age times, and the times after modern age. I chose the famous 16 monks who were relative with this area, and researched their remarkable activities as the monk in the temples of this area. Through this research, I summarized the five features and the present meanings of this area. At first, ERSANBUMPAE(魚山梵唄), the representative Buddhism music of ancient Korea, was started from the SSNGGAE(雙磎) temple by zen monk JINGAM(眞鑑). Total present temple musics were came from this ERSANBUMPAE. Along to the this tradition, all the Buddhists of this area must make efficient use temple music for helping self discipline and spiritual enlightenment. Second, during the period of united Silla dynasty, the female slave who was called the name of UKMYEON(郁面) was a devotee of Amitabha, her devoted efforts opened her the road to the heaven paradise. After her achievement, many devotees of Amitabha consistently appeared in this area. We must succeed to this tradition. Third, except the example of female slave UKMYEON, during the later middle age times, the zen monk BUYONG YEONGGUAN(芙蓉靈觀) was born in slave, too. He went into the religion of Buddhism. And his devoted efforts opened him to reach the goal of great spiritual enlightenment. From these examples, we can know that the people of this area have the spirit of all people’s equality. We must succeed to this spirit. Fourth, from ancient times to present ages, the tradition that tea spirit is equal with zen Buddhism thoughts[茶禪一如] was succeeded in this area. And many Buddhism disciplines gained great help through the tea drinking method. This area has very good conditions for good tea harvest. We must succeed to this tradition. Fifth, among the famous 16 monks who were relative with this area, CHEONGHERHYUJEONG(淸虛休靜), CHEONGDAM SUNHO(靑潭淳浩), and HYODANG(曉堂) CHOIBUMSUL(崔凡述) had very strong spirit for safeguarding of our country against enemies attack. We must succeed to this tradition.

      • 청담조사(靑潭祖師)의 사상과 진주정신(晉州精神)

        In this paper, I researched the following question. What is the core contents of the spirit of Jinju(晉州) area? How the formation of venerable Cheong-dam’s thought was operated by the spirit of Jinju area? As the result, I searched this answer. That is to say, the core contents of the spirit of Jinju are the practice of right, and the spirit of Jinju was came from Gaya (伽耶) Dynasty belonging to the ancient Korean several Dynasties. Jinju people’s righteous temperament was originated in Gaya people’s disposition. Gaya people’s disposition was originated in the area of nomadic culture. Cheong-dam was native Jinju man. He was born in Jinju and grew, graduated high school and married in Jinju. He livered in Jinju until the age of 25. His ancestors had livered in Goryeong(高靈) area during 500 years, which was the capital of Daegaya(大伽倻) Dynasty during long times. His grandfather moved Jinju. From these facts, I knew that he had originally Gaya people’s disposition, as it was righteous temperament. He remained many interesting stories which were relation to righteous temperament. Furthermore, his original righteous temperament influenced the formation of Cheong-dam’s Buddism thought. Cheong-dam’s Buddism thought. As the general aspects, the features of his Buddism thought were able to call mind idea. But his own features were able to summarize six points including the great monk who aid Buddist exorcisers. I would like to explain that his consistancy spirits of 7 features were originated in his strong righteous temperament. Furthermore, I researched that Cheong-dam’s thought would give what message at this time, and how the future scholars would success his thought. As the general aspects, the features of his Buddism thought were able to call mind idea. But his own features were able to summarize six points including the great monk who aid Buddist exorcisers. I would like to explain that his consistancy spirits of 7 features were originated in his strong righteous temperament. Furthermore, I researched that Cheong-dam’s thought would give what message at this time, and how the future scholars would success his thought.
