본 연구의 목적은 대학에서 외국인 유학생들의 학사경고 경험의 의미를 심층적으로 이해하는데 있다. 본 연구는 2017년 2학기 9월∼12월까지 학사경고 경험이 있는 외국인 유학생 17명(남 14명, 여 3명)과의 심층 인터뷰를 실시한 후 Giorgi(2004)의 현상학적 방법으로 분석하여 4개의 상위구성요소와 20개의 하위구성요소, 129개의 의미단위를 도출하였다. 상위구성요소로는 “학사경고를 받은 이유”, “학업을 수행하는 데에 어려움을 겪는 부분”, “유학생활 지속동기”, “학업에서의 어려움을 해결하는 방법”으로 나타났다. 외국인 유학생들은 한국에 대한 관심, 취업에 대한 기대, 한국 대학에 대한 인지도, 친구의 영향, 낮은 경제적 부담, 자국과의 지리적 근접성 등 의이유로 유학생활을 지속해왔다. 이들은 한국어 활용능력 부족과 전공공부에 대한 어려움, 대인관계의 어려움, 외국인 유학생에 대한 차별로 인해 공부하는 것이 힘들다고 보고하였다. 외국인 유학생들은 대학 공부에 적응하고자 주로 인터넷, 교육자료, 책 등의 매체를 활용하여 독학을 하였고, 교수나 지인 등 타인의 도움으로 대학 공부를 수행하고자 노력하였다. 그럼에도 불구하고, 외국인 유학생들은 학업의 어려움, 한국어 듣기 미숙, 건강, 가정, 출결문제 등으로 인해 학사경고를 받은 것으로 나타 났다. 연구 결과를 토대로 그 의미와 시사점에 대해 논의하였다. The purpose of this study is to examine the experiences of international undergraduate students under academic probation and understand the meanings of their experiences in-depth. For this purpose, this study conducted in-depth interview from 17 international students (14 males & 3 females) during September- December, 2017. Then the phenomenological method of Giorgi(2004) was applied to analyze the interview data. As a result, 4 major components, 20 sub-components, and 129 conceptualized semantic units were derived. The major components include “reasons for academic probation”, “obstacles against studying”, “motivations for continuing study in Korea”, and “how they deal with studying problems”. The interviews indicated that International students continue their study in Korea due to various reasons: favorable impression of Korea, expectations for employment, influence from friends, less economic burden, and geographic proximity. They addressed low level of Korean language proficiency, difficulty in studying their major, problems dealing with people, and discrimination against international students as obstacles from studying. These students were using several learning strategies to adapt to studying at collage: utilizing internet sources, instructional materials, and books to study on their own, relying on their professors and friends for help, or reaching out for help by tutoring. Nonetheless, they were placed under academic probation due to difficulty in studying their major, low level of Korean listening proficiency, health issues, family issues, and low attendance. Meanings and implications from the results are discussed.

CMIT/MIT(Chloromethylisothiazolinone/Methylisothiazolinone) methyl has been widely used as a powerful preservative in household chemicals. However, regulations are being enforced across households due to strong inhalation toxicity. Related manufacturers need standard materials to check the contents and contents of CMIT/MIT in raw materials and finished products. A reference material must have the same or similar medium as a sample to compensate for the effect of the medium. Surfactants and spices are used as the main ingredients of cleaning agents, and various raw materials such as surfactants, fatty acids, waxes, diluents, preservatives, and spices are used for cosmetics. CMIT/MIT is developed by pro-nuclear attacks and is greatly affected by pH. In this study, the key goal is to create a chemical environment so that CMIT/MIT can exist reliably in cleaning agents and cosmetics media. Currently, CMIT/MIT standard substances in the form of living chemicals are not supplied at home and abroad. KTR is developing cosmetics cream preparation and cleaning liquid CMIT/MIT standard materials as a standard substance production agency and is planning to supply them to industries after 2023.
Study for Residue Analysis of Pinoxaden in Agricultural Commodities

BACKGROUND: Pinoxaden is the phenylpyrazoline herbicide developed by Syngenta Crop Protection, Inc. and marketed on 2006. The maximum residue levels for wheat and barley were set by import tolerance. Thus, Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) official analytical method determining Pinoxaden residue was necessary in various food matrixes. Satisfaction of international guideline of CODEX (Codex Alimentarius Commission CAC/GL 40) and National Institute of Food and Drug Safety EvaluationMFDS (2017) are additional pre-requirements for analytical method. In this study, liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method was investigated to analyze residue of Pinoxaden (M4), which is defined as pesticide residue in Korea, in foods. METHODS AND RESULTS: Pinoxaden (M4) was extracted followed by acid digestion (2hr reflux with 1N HCl) and pH adjusting (pH 4-5 with 3% ammonium solution). To remove oil, additional clean-up step with hexane saturated with acetonitrile was required to high oil contained sample before purification. HLB cartridge and nylon syringe filter were used for purification. Then, samples were analyzed by LC-MS/MS using reserve phase column C18. Five agricultural group representative commodities (mandarin, potato, soybean, hulled rice, and chilli pepper) were used to verify the method in this study. The liner matrix-matched calibration curves were confirmed with coefficient of determination (r2 ) > 0.99 at calibration range 0.002-0.2 mg/kg. The limits of detection and quantitation were 0.004 and 0.01 mg/kg, respectively, which were suitable to apply Positive List System (PLS). Mean average accuracies of pinoxaden (M4) were shown to be 74.0-105.7%. The precision of pinoxaden and its metabolites were also shown less than 14.5% for all five samples. CONCLUSION: The method investigated in this study was suitable to CODEX (CAC/GL 40) and National Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation-MFDS (2017) guideline for residue analysis. Thus, this method can be useful for determining the residue in various food matrixes in routine analysis.

Chlorpyralid belongs to picolinic acid herbicide family targeting broadleaf plant such as clover and thistles. The action of this chemical is reducing or prohibiting the germination of grass, broadleaf weeds, and seedlings. An analytical method for the determination of Chlorpyralid residue in agricultural commodities was developed by Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS). For the analytical method verification, five representative commodities were chosen; chilli pepper for vegetable group, hulled rice for grain group, mandarin orange for fruit group, potato for root vegetables group and soybean for legume group. Briefly, sample were extracted with 5% formic acid in acetonitrile and partitioned by citrate buffer. To remove the interferences, dispersive-SPE using C18 and alumina neutral was used before LC-MS/MS (Liquid Chromatography -Tandem Mass Spectrometry) analysis with C18 column. The linear standard calibration curve was confirmed (coefficient of determination with calibration range). Mean average accuracies were shown 71.2~104.3 %. The precision were also shown less than 9.9% for all five samples. Is sum, the proposed method for Chlorpyralid residue determination developted by MFDS can be suitable for CODEX guidelines CAC/GL 40) and useful as official method.
