비육후기 한우수소에 있어서 한약재박 펠렛사료의 대체급여효과

본 연구는 한약재박 펠렛(POMR)을 비육후기의 한우수소에 일부 대체 급여하였을 때 증체량, 사료섭취량, 사료비 및 도체등급에 미치는 영향에 대하여 검토하였다. 대조구의 배합사료 섭취량은 9.8㎏, POMR구의 배합사료 및 POMR의 섭취량은 각각 8.5 및 2.7 ㎏ 이었으며, 총 건물섭취량은 대조구 13.2 ㎏, POMR구 16.3 ㎏으로 POMR구에서 많았다. (p<0.05). 일당 증체량은 대조구 0.89 ㎏, POMR구 0.83 ㎏으로 대조구에서 다소 높은 경향을 보였으나 처리간에 유의적인 차이는 없었다. 조단백질 섭취량은 대조구 1.80 ㎏, POMR구 2.11 ㎏, TDN 섭취량은 대조구 8.2 ㎏, POMR구 9.9 ㎏ 으로 모두 POMR구에서 높았으며, 조단백질 및 TDN 섭취량은 두 처리구 모두 영양소요구량을 충족하였다. 실험기간동안 두당 총사료비는 대조구 234,402원, POMR구 223,894원으로 POMR구가 13,508원(5.7%) 절감되었다. 도체중은 POMR구가 높은 경향을 보였으며, 등지방두께는 대조구에서 높았다(p<0.05). 배최장근단면적 및 육량지수는 처리구간에 차이가 없었다. 근내지방도 등급은 POMR구가 대조구보다 양호한 경향을 보였으며, 육색 및 지방색은 처리구간에 차이는 없었다. 조직감은 POMR구가 대조구보다 양호하였다(p<0.05). 이상에서 비육후기의 한우수소에 POMR로 일부 대체 급여하여도 조단백질 및 TDN 섭취량은 영양소요구량을 충분히 충족하였으며, 증체량에 차이가 없어 사료급여량의 감소로 사료비가 절감되었다. 육질등급에서 POMR구가 대조구보다 양호하게 나타나 앞으로 육질과 한약재박 펠렛사료의 미량성분과의 관계를 검토할 필요가 있을 것으로 사료된다. To evaluate the effect of partial substitution of a diet by pellets of oriental herbal medicine residues (POMR) on body weight gain, feed intake, feed cost and carcass characteristics, twenty Korean native bulls (485 ㎏, initial BW) in the fattening period were randomly assigned to a control diet or POMR diet. Dry matter (DM) intake for concentrate was higher in the control diet than that of the POMR diet, but DM intake of concentrate plus POMR for the POMR diet was higher than that of the control diet. Total DM intake was higher (P<0.05) in the POMR diet than that of the control diet. Average daily gain appeared to be higher in the control diet than that of the POMR diet, but there was no significant different. Crude protein and TDN intake were higher in the POMR diet than that of the control diet. Estimated crude protein and TDN intakes in both diets exceeded the requirements of the Japanese Feeding Standard for Beef Cattle. Feed cost per bull was reduced by 5.7% for the POMR diet compared to the control diet. Backfat thickness was higher (P<0.05) in the control diet than that of the POMR diet, but rib-eye area and carcass meat production index did not differ between two diets. Marbling score tended to be higher in the POMR diet than that of the control diet, but there was no difference in meat color and fat color. These results indicate that the pritial substitution of POMR may increase economic return without impairing animal performance in Korean native bulls for fattening period. Further study is necessary to evaluate the relationship between trace mineral composition of POMR and beef quality.

Twenty-lour Holstein-Friesian lactating dairy cows were divided at random into two groups and received the following diets : 1)corn silage plus gross silage 2)corn silage plus alfalfa silage. In addition, all the cows were fed hay and concentrate at 0∼25% of milk yield. The objective was to determine the effects of feeding grass silage or alfalfa silage with corn silage based diets on gross energetic efficiency of milk production in a 24-wk studs. Gross energetic efficiency was calculated as the simple ratio between energy output in milk and energy consumed. Gross energetic efficiency was not different between com silage plus grass silage and com silage plus alfalfa silage. With advancing lactation stage, the gross energetic efficiency decreased in both treatment groups. Dry matter intake were more with corn silage plus bras, silage than com silage plus alfalfa silage because of moisture content. Four percentFCM were lightly higher in animals on corn silage plus alfalfa silage than in those on corn silage plus grass silage. It was concluded that supplementing corn silage with alfalfa silage w as effective in improving milk yield and gross energetic efficiency.

This experiment was conducted to evaluate the yield performance of forage rape (Brassica napus subsp. oleifera (Metzg.) Sinsk.) in comparison with the common soiling crops, sucH as oats, rye, hybrid ryegrass and turnips in the late fall period. The crops were seeded on August 25, 1982. Plant height, dry matter percentage and forage yield measurements were taken on October 27, 1982. Forage rape and oats were early in maturity and tall with upright stem. Turnips and rye were later to mature than forage rape and oats, but earlier than hybrid ryegrass in the late fall period. The newer forage rape tended to yield more forage than oats, turnips, rye and hybrid ryegrass. Forage rape, oats and Ponda turnips gave the highest dry matter yield, followed by rye and Polybra turnips. Hybrid ryegrass gave the lowest dry matter yield. Rye, hybrid ryegrass and oats showed a higher percentage of dry matter, but forage rape gave a medium percentage. Based on the results of the experiment it appears that cultivars of forage rape recently introduced from the Netherlands have excellent potential as soiling crops in Korea.
철원지역에서 재배한 양마 (Kenaf, Hibiscus cannabinus L.)의 재식거리와 품종, 수확시기에 따른 건물수량 및 사료성분의 변화

본 연구는 양마 3품종을 재식거리, 품종 및 수확시기에 따른 건물수량과 사료성분의 변화를 검토하고자 강원도 철원지역에서 2005년 5월 20일부터 2005년 9월 12일까지 수행되었다. 시험배치는 3반복 분할구 배치로 주구는 재식거리와 수확시기를, 세구는 양마 3품종(Dowling, Everglade 및 Tainung)을 배치했으며, 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 생육일수에 따른 건물생산량은 93일까지는 재식거리가 10×10㎠ 구에서 높게 나타났다. 품종별 건물생산량에서는 모든 품종이 생육시기가 진행됨에 따라 건물수량이 높아지는 경향을 보였고, 특히 Dowling이 모든 수확시기에서 가장 높은 건물생산량을 보였다. 조단백질 함량은 생육일수가 길어짐에 따라 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 특히, 생육 중기(생육일수 84일)을 기준으로 생육초기에는 조단백질 함량은 큰 차이를 나타내지 않았지만, 10×20㎠ 구에서 다소 높게 나타났다. 품종별로는 Dowling의 조단백질 함량이 다소 높은 것으로 조사되었으나, 큰 차이는 나타내지 않았다. 재식거리 및 품종에 따른 NDF와 ADF 함량의 차이는 조사된 3 품종 공히 생육시기가 지나감에 따라 다소 증가하는 경향을 보였지만, 큰 유의적 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 종합해 보면, 양마는 우리나라 중북부 지방에서 훌륭한 사료작물로서의 가능성이 검증되었고, 특히 Dowling 품종이 재식거리 10×10㎠로 파종하여 104일째 수확했을 때 가장 좋은 건물생산량과 품질을 보여주었다. This study was conducted to evaluate the dry matter yield and forage quality of Kenaf in relation to planting density and growing days in Cheorwon area from 20 May to 12 September in 2005. The experiment was laid out in a split plot design with three replications. The main plots consisted of planting density and growing days with three cultivars of Kenaf as sub-plots; Dowling, Everglade and Tainung. The results obtained were summarized as follows. The dry matter yield increased until 92 days after planting at 10×10㎠ planting density, but decreased after the day. The dry matter yield increased with maturity in all three cultivars, especially Dowling showed the highest dry matter yield at each harvest time. The Crude Protein (CP) contents of all three cultivars decreased with maturity. Especially, the decrease in the CP contents was greater in the early stage than in the late stage. The planting density did not affect the CP contents, even though they are little higher in 10×20㎠ planting density. The higher CP contents were observed in Dowling, which is not significant. No difference in the Neutral detergent fiber (NDF) and Acid detergent fiber (ADF) contents was observed in the planting density and cultivar, although the increasing tendency was found with maturity. These results suggest that Kenaf can be a good potential forage crop in the northern area of Korea, especially Dowling showed the great dry matter yield and forage quality when harvested on Day 104 at 10×20㎠ planting density.
