R. P. Ojdrovic proposed the method for predicting the long-term drying shrinkage of concrete from the results of short-term tests on 15 cm diameter cylinders. However, Only American Concrete Institute (ACI) model equation was investigated in this study, and investigation on the effect of specimen size was not conducted. Therefore, in this study, Comite Euro International Du Beton (CEB) model, Architectural Institute of Japan (AIJ) model, and Japan Society of Engineers (JSCE) model equations are investigated in addition to ACI model equation, and the effect of specimen size was investigated too. Results show that the accuracy of prediction of the long-term drying shrinkage increases significantly when the shrinkage data at 56-day are used to adjust the models, and the test-adjusted AIJ model are more than predictions using other adjusted models.
경경정맥간내문맥정맥단락술 경로내의 가성내막증식 억제를 위한 파클리탁셀방출니티놀스텐트의 효과: 돼지모형에서의 실험연구

Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy of a paclitaxel-eluting nitinol stent on the inhibition of pseudointimal hyperplasia in a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt. Materials and Methods: Twelve pigs were used in this study. Two types of 10-mm diameter and 60-mm long nitinol stents were made for a transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt by coating them with a polyurethane solution, with and without paclitaxel. Each transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt was created successfully in the 12 swine with 7 paclitaxel-eluting stents and 5 polyurethane stents. Five swine in each group were followed-up for 14 days due to the death of 2 swine given the paclitaxel-eluting stents. The proliferation of the pseudointima was evaluated on both follow-up portograms and histopathology examinations. The mean maximum pseudointimal hyperplasia is expressed as the percentage of the stent radius. Results: On the portograms, all the transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts using the paclitaxel-eluting stents maintained patency despite there being a complete occlusion of the polyurethane stents in all the animals. The histopathology analysis revealed the mean maximum pseudointimal hyperplasia to be 25% and 76% in the paclitaxel-eluting and control stents, respectively. Conclusion: A transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt with a paclitaxel-eluting nitinol stent appears to significantly inhibit the formation of pseudointimal hyperplasia. 목적: 경경정맥간내문맥정맥단락술 경로 내의 가성내막증식 억제를 위한 파클리탁셀방출나이티놀스텐트의 효과를 평가하고자 하였다. 대상과 방법: 경경정맥간내문맥정맥단락술 경로에 삽입하기 위하여 직경 10 mm, 길이 60 mm의 나이티놀스텐트를 제작하여 실험군으로 파클리탁셀을 함유한, 대조군으로 함유하지 않은 폴리우레탄용액의 두 가지 형태로 피복하였다. 경경정맥간내문맥정맥단락술을 12마리의 돼지에서 시행하였고 파클리탁셀방출스텐트 7개, 폴리우레탄피복스텐트 5개를 삽입하였다. 파클리탁셀방출스텐트를 삽입한 돼지 2마리가 추적과정에서 사망하여 두 가지 스텐트에서 각각 5마리를 2주간 추적관찰하였다. 희생 전의 문맥조영술과 희생 후 조직병리검사로 가성내막의 증식을 평가하였다. 결과: 희생 전 문맥조영상에서 파클리탁셀방출스텐트를 삽입한 경경정맥간내문맥정맥단락술 경로는 모두 개통되어 있었지만 폴리우레탄피복스텐트는 모두 폐쇄되어있었다. 조직병리검사에서 가성내막증식이 가장 심한 부위에서 스텐트반경에 대한 조직두께의 비는 파클리탁셀스텐트가 25%, 폴리우레탄스텐트가 76%였다. 결론: 파클리탁셀방출스텐트는 경경정맥간내문맥정맥단락술 경로에서 가성내막증식을 유의하게 감소시키는 것으로 생각한다.

본 연구에서는 건축구조물의 지하주차장 무근콘크리트의 컬링제어를 위한 연구를 수행하였다. 국내의 경우, 지하주차장 무근콘크리트의 수축균열을 제어하기 위해 섬유보강제가 사용되고 있지만, 수축균열과 컬링변형 제어에는 큰 도움이 되지 못하고 있는 실정이므로, 수축균열과 컬링 변형을 최소화하는 방안으로 수축저감제 (Shrinkage Reducing Agent: 글리콜 기반의 수축저감제, 이하 SRA)를 사용하였다. 또한 정량적인 컬링제어를 위하여 무근콘크리트를 켄티레버 보로 가정하여 처짐이론을 적용한 간이예측기술을 제안하였으며, 실측값과 비교하여 컬링변형 예측의 타당성을 검토하였다. 그 결과 SRA 1.0% 콘크리트가 SRA 0.0% 콘크리트보다 컬링 변형이 30% 정도 감소함을 확인하였다. 또한 전반적으로 켄틸레버 보의 처짐이론으로 무근 콘크리트의 컬링변형을 예측하는 것이 가능함을 확인할 수 있었다. The study for curling control of plain concrete in underground parking lot was conducted in this study. The shrinkage reducing agent(SRA) was used to minimize the curling deformation of plain concrete in underground parking lot. For the quantitative curling control, the simplified prediction method applying the deflection theory of cantilever beam was proposed too, and the validity of prediction method was examined through the comparison between the experimental values and predictive values. In result, the curling of SRA 1.0% concrete was about 30% less than that of SRA 0.0% concrete, and the possibility of curling estimation by the simplified prediction method was confirmed through the comparison between the experimental values and predictive values.

Purpose : To correlate the preoperative staging of gastric adenocarcinoma using two-phase spiral CT withpathologic staging. Materials and Methods : One hundred and eighty patients with gastric cancers confirmed duringsurgery underwent two-phase spiral CT, and were evaluated retrospectively. CT scans were obtained in the proneposition after ingestion of water. Scans were performed 35 and 80 seconds after the start of infusion of 120mL ofnon-ionic contrast material with the speed of 3mL/sec. Five mm collimation, 7mm/sec table feed and 5mmreconstruction interval were used. T- and N-stage were determined using spiral CT images, without knowledge of thepathologic results. Pathologic staging was later compared with CT staging. Results : Pathologic T-stage was T1 in70 cases(38.9%), T2 in 33 (18.3%), T3 in 73 (40.6%), and T4 in 4 (2.2%). Type-I or IIa elevated lesions accountedfor 10 of 70 T1 cases(14.3%) and flat or depressed lesions(type IIb, IIc, or III) for 60 (85.7%). PathologicN-stage was N0 in 85 cases(47.2%), N1 in 42 (23.3%), N2 in 31 (17.2%), and N3 in 22 (12.2%). The detection rate ofearly gastric cancer using two-phase spiral CT was 100.0%(10 of 10 cases) among elevated lesions and 78.3%(47 of60 cases) among flat or depressed lesions. With regard to T-stage, there was good correlation between CT image andpathology in 86 of 180 cases (47.8%). Overstaging occurred in 23.3%(42 of 180 cases) and understaging in 28.9%(52of 180 cases). With regard to N-stage, good correlation between CT image and pathology was noted in 94 of 180cases (52.2%). The rate of understaging(31.7%, 57 of 180 cases) was higher than that of overstaging(16.1%, 29 of180 cases)(p<0.001). Conclusion : The detection rate of early gastric cancer using two-phase spiral CT was 81.4%,and there was no significant difference in detectability between elevated and depressed lesions. Two-phase spiralCT for determing the T- and N-stage of gastric cancer was not effective ; it was accurate in abont 50% of casesunderstaging tended to occur.
하프PC 슬래브에 발생한 균열이 합성 슬래브의 휨 내력에 미치는 영향에 관한 실험적 연구

하프PC 슬래브는 시공중에 슬래브 판에 균열이 발생하기 쉽고 이러한 균열들을 보수보강 하지 않은 상태에서 덧침콘크리트를 타설할 경우 합성슬래브의 내력에 영향을 미칠 것으로 사료된다. 하지만 하프PC 슬래브에 발생한 균열이 합성슬래브의 구조성능에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구는 아직까지 없는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 하프PC 슬래브에 발생한 균열이 합성 슬래브의 내력에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여 덧침콘크리트를 타설하기 전에 하프PC 슬래브에 균열을 발생시킨 시험체와 균열이 없는 합성슬래브 시험체를 제작하여 슬래브의 휨 성능을 검토하였다. Multiplex Mini Y Short Tandem Repeat Haplotyping using Fluorescence Energy Transfer Labeled Primers

A fluorescence energy transfer (ET) cassette labeled mini Y short tandem repeat (STR) genotyping system is presented. A capillary electrophoretic (CE) microdevice with a cross-injector design is used to determine the fluorescence intensities of ET and single dye-labeled STR amplicons, demonstrating a 2-12 fold higher fluorescence signal of ET cassette labels than the corresponding single dye-labeled ones. Eleven extended haplotype mini Y-STRs using ET cassette labeled primers are constructed, and sensitivity and mixed sample studies are performed. Due to the improved spectroscopic properties of ET labels, multiplex mini Y-STR typing is successful with as low as 30 pg of genomic male DNA, and in the high background of female DNA. These results indicate the practical advantage of ET cassette labels for low copy number and poor-quality DNA STR genotyping to be applied for criminal investigations, paternity testing, and evolutionary studies.
