        진청색의 동시개화성 절화 용담품종 ‘스카이호프’ 육성

        A new Gentiana spp. cultivar ‘Skyhope’ was bred by crossing between ‘Jinbu-4 line’ with violet blue (VB 95B) colored petals and ‘Jinbu-1 line’ with violet blue (VB 93B) petals in 2000 year. The superior line of ‘0013-9’ was selected in Daegwallyeong from 2001 to 2003 year, and growth and flower characterization were conducted from 2004 to 2007 year in field of Daegwallyeong and Jinbu of Pyeongchang, Gangwon-do, Namwon, Jeollabuk-do and Jeju Special Self-Governing-do. The flower showed violet blue (VB 96A) color at opening, the petal of flower have not spot and flower stem color was purple. Flowers was opening at the same time from bottom to upside. Plant height was 68.1 cm, and number of flower stems per plant was 5.3 ea., number of flower node per stem is 5.9 ea., and Number of flowers per stem was 32.2 ea.. The flowering of ‘Skyhope’ cultivar was bloomed from the middle of July in Daegwallyeong and the later of July in Jinbu, Pyeongchang, Kangwon-do and the early of July in Namwon, Jeollabuk-do and the later of July in Jeju Special Self-Governing-do. ‘Skyhope’ cultivar can be used for cut flower. Key words - Breeding, Cut flower, Flower color, Flowering, Selection 용담 신품종 ‘스카이호프(Skyhope)’는 청색 꽃을 가진 가진Jinbu-1와 Jinbu-4호를 2000년에 교배하여 선발하였다. 화색은 진한 청색(VB 96A)으로 ‘횡계1호(VB96B)’보다 진했으며, 꽃잎에 반점이 없다. 꽃대 줄기는 자주색을 띠며 잎 모양은 피침형이다. 꽃은 밤에 반폐쇄형이고 위와 아래에서 거의 동시 개화하는 특성을 가지고 있다. 초장은 68.1 cm 정도이고, 화경수도 5.3 개로 적었으며, 화단수와 화수는 각각 5.9개, 32.2개로 나타났다. 개화는 7월 상순부터 하순까지 하였으며, 전 지역에서 ‘횡계1호’보다 15-20일 정도 빠르게 피었다.

        곰취 ‘쌈마니’ 품종의 재배지역 및 수확기별 항산화 활성 비교

        This study was conducted for the comparison of antioxidant activities in different cultivation areas, harvest date and processing statuses in the new variety ‘Sammany’ of Gomchwi (Fischer ligularia). The lowland was Gangneung, 20 m above sea level, and the highland was Daegwallyeong, 750 m above sea level. The total phenolic contents, flavonoids, DPPH free radical scavenging activities, and reducing power were analyzed by freezing and drying the raw and blanched of Gomchwi leaves from April 18th to July 15th, and extracting them through in the use of methanol. Total phenolic contents, flavonoids, DPPH free radical scavenging activities and reducing power were found to be more pronounced during May than they were in the period of early harvest on April 18th in the lowland, as well as to be more effective during June than in May in the highland. Total phenolic contents, flavonoids, DPPH free radical scavenging activities, and reducing power by region, harvest date, and processing status were more effective in May than the early harvest of April in flat areas, and antioxidant activity in the highlands was elevated as of June. When compared with raw and blench leaves, raw leaves exhibited higher antioxidant activities across the board. Highland cultivation also displayed higher antioxidant activities than did lowland cultivation. Combining the above results, the ‘Sammany’ variety of Gomchwi was found to be more active in terms of antioxidants, which were harvested in May in flat areas and June in the highlands. Also, consuming them raw showed higher antioxidant activity than when blanched. 본 연구는 곰취 신품종 ‘쌈마니’ 의 고랭지와 평난지 수확기및 가공 상태에 따른 항산화 활성 차이를 구명하고자 수행 하였다. 4월 18일부터 7월 15일까지 수확하여 생것과 데친 것을 냉동건조한 후 메탄올에 추출하여 총페놀 함량, 총플라보노이드 함량, DPPH free radical 소거능과 환원력을 분석하였다. 재배지역 및 수확기별 총페놀 함량, 총플라보노이드 함량, DPPH free radical 소거능과 환원력은 평난지에서는 4월 18일 조기 수확보다는 5월 수확이 더 효과적이었으며, 고랭지에서는 5월보다는6월에 더 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 재배지역, 수확기 및 가공상태별 총 페놀 함량, 총 플라보노이드 함량, DPPH free radical 소거능과 환원력은 평난지에서는 4월 조기 수확보다는5월부터 더 효과적이었으며, 고랭지에서는 6월부터 항산화 활성이 높게 나타났다. 생체와 데친 것을 비교하였을 때, 생체가모든 항목에서 더 높은 항산화 활성을 나타내었다. 또한 평난지재배보다 고랭지 재배가 더 높은 항산화 활성을 나타냈다. 이상의 결과를 종합해볼 때, ‘쌈마니’ 품종은 평난지에서는 5월, 고랭지에서는 6월에 수확하여 생으로 먹는 것이 데쳐서 먹는 것보다 항산화 활성이 더 높은 것으로 나타났다.

        토양반응(pH)이 분화재배 바위취의 생육에 미치는 영향

        - This experiment was carried out to find out proper soil acidity (pH) that can enhanced ornamental worth andmarketability on flowerpot cultivation of Saxifraga stolonifera. It was treated 3 replications of randomized completeblock design to pH 4.5, 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0. Soil was used peatmoss and young plant of Saxifraga stoloniferaplanted at10cm pot of diameter. It was investigated to growth characteristics at intervals of twenty days after planting. On thegrowth characteristics at different soil acdity (pH) of Saxifraga stolonifera, It was many growth increment of plantwidth, plant height, leaf length and leaf width on pH 4.5, but was remarkably reduced growth increment on a higher soilacidity (pH). Therefore, Saxifraga stoloniferawas showed the best growth when planted at soil of pH 4.5∼5.0.Key words - Ornamental worth, flowerpot cultivation

        Effect of the Cold Treatment Period on a Plant’s Dormancy Breaking in the Winter Production of Gomchwi’s New Varieties (Ligularia fischeri (Ledeb.) Turcz)

        This study was conducted to determine the number of days required to break a plant’s dormancy and promote subsequent crop growth in new varieties of Gomchwi through the 4℃ treatment. Three new varieties of Gomchwi namely, ‘Sammany’, ‘Gommany’, and ‘Damogy’ were observed in this study. The rate of leaf emergence of ‘Sammany’ after 15-day of 4℃ treatment was 100%, while ‘Gommany’, and ‘Damogy’ took 20-days and 10-days, respectively to reach to 97.9% rate of leaf emergence. After 10-days of 4℃ treatment, ‘Damogy’ grew faster than the other varieties. and Harvest time for ‘Damogy’ was on January 18th, after 5-days of 4℃ treatment and yield was observed to be the highest at 15-days of 4℃ treatment. ‘Sammany’ was next with a minimum of 10-days of 4℃ treatment, although 15-days is more preferred for better harvest. ‘Gommany’ on the other hand, did not grow enough for harvest by January 18th, and its harvest time was delayed to January 31st. It needed a minimum of 15-days and preferentially 20-days of 4℃ treatment to grow normally and be ready for harvest. The plant height, leaf length and leaf petiole length appeared to grow better by extending duration of the 4℃ treatment. The number of leaves of ‘Sammany’ and ‘Gommany’ varieties was three leaves for the 5-days treatment which may be due to the incomplete breaking of dormancy. Regarding the yield per plant, ‘Sammany’ yielded 112.3 grams (g) in 15-days treatment, and ‘Gommany’ yielded 106.5 g in 25-days treatment. In the case of ‘Damogy’, it yielded 123.5 g and 183 g in the 10-days and 25-days treatment respectively. It is concluded that ‘Damogy’, ‘Sammany’ and ‘Gommany requires 10, 15, and 20 days of 4℃ treatment to break the plant’s dormancy and promote better plant growth.

        큰용담 F1 계통에 있어서 CPPU 농도, 광조건 및 치상부위가 신초 재분화에 미치는 영향

        용담의 영양번식시 조직배양을 통한 대량번식 방법 을 찾고자 연구를 수행한 결과 잎을 치상하면 신초 발생이 적거나 느렸고 줄기마디를 치상할 경우에 신초 발생이 많았으며 명·암 조건에서는 암 조건에서 신초 발생이 많았다. CPPU 농도에서는 무처리 MS배지의 0.7개 보다는 CPPU 2.0mg·L-1농도에서 2~3.5개의 신 초를 발생시켜 더 효과적이었다. 결과적으로 많은 신초 를 발생시키기 위해서는 줄기마디를 NAA 1.0mg·L-1 와 CPPU 2.0mg·L-1를 넣은 MS배지에 치상하여 암 조건에 8일간 두었다가 명조건에서 배양하는 것이 가 장 효과적인 것으로 나타났다. This study was conducted to induce in vitro shooting from explants through meristem tip cultures of Gentiana axillariflora var. coreana. The favorable conditions, such as explant (node/leaflet), light condition and CPPU [N-(2-chloro-4-pridyl)-3-phenylurea] treatment, were treated for the rapid vigorous shoot regeneration. Shoots regenerated from nodes under both light and dark conditions with 1.0~2.0 mg·L-1 CPPU, especially in line 1079-2 which belong to the type of G. axillariflora var. coreana, bred from Gentiana ssp. The best condition for shoot regeneration was observed on the medium containing 2.0 mg·L-1 CPPU under a dark condition.

        내병 다수성 곰취 신품종 ‘수마니’ 육성

        ‘수마니(Soomany)’ 품종은 일반 곰취를 모본으로 하고 한대 리곰취를 부본으로 해서 교배 육종을 하였다. 2007년부터 2015 년까지 국립식량과학원 고령지농업연구소 온실 및 노지에서 생육 및 수량 특성을 조사와 선발을 수행하였다. 신품종 ‘수마니’ 에 있어서 엽병귀 색은 연녹색이고 엽병에 털이 있다. 그리고 잎 뒷면에 털이 없어 광택도 없다. 엽맥 밀도는 4등급으로 아주 조밀한 편이다. ‘수마니’ 품종의 2년차 생육 특성은 초장이 77.1 ㎝, 엽장 22.3 ㎝, 엽폭 21.5 ㎝, 엽병장은 57.2 ㎝ 였다. 식물체 크기는 ‘쌈마니’ 품종보다 전체적으로 큰 것으로 나타났다. 추 대기는 8월 25일이었고, 개화기는 9월 19일로 ‘쌈마니’ 품종보다 9일 정도 늦게 꽃이 피었다. 엽수는 주당 149매로 ‘쌈마니’ 품종 133매 보다 16매나 많았다. 그리고 주당 수량도 1,623 g으로 ‘쌈마니’ 품종 1,385 g보다 17%정도 더 많았다. 잎의 경도는 25.8 kg/㎠, 잎의 두께는 0.53 ㎜로 ‘쌈마니’ 품종보다 경도는 약간 강하고 잎은 얇게 나타났다. 그리고 ‘수마니’ 품종은 흰가루병에 대해서 강한 저항성을 나타내었고 품종보호권은 2019년 5월에 품종보호 제192호로 등록되었다. A new Gomchwi cultivar ‘Soomany’ was derived from a cross between Gomchwi (Ligularia fischeri (Ledeb.) Turcz.) and Handaeri-gomchwi (Ligularia fischeri var. spiciformis Nakai). The investigation and selection of growth and yield characteristics were conducted from 2007 to 2015 in field and greenhouse of Highland Agriculture Research Institute, National Institute of Crop Science, Rural Development Administration, in Korea. On a newly developed cultivar ‘Soomany’, color of petiole ear is light green, petiole trichome is existent, trichome and light on the back of the leaves don’t exist, and density of leaf vein is degree 4. Plant height, leaf length, leaf width and petiole length are 77.1, 22.3, 21.5 and 57.2 ㎝, respectively in the growth characteristics of the 2nd year. Plant size was also higher than that of ‘Sammany’ generally. Bolting date was on August 15. Flowering date was on September 19, about 9 days later than ‘Sammany’. ‘Soomany’ and ‘Sammany’ had 149 and 133 leaves per plant, respectively. Total yield of ‘Soomany’ (1,623 g/plant) made a very good comparison with that of ‘Sammany’ (1,385 g/plant). ‘Soomany’ showed harder leaves (25.8 ㎏/㎠) than ‘Sammany’ (20.8 ㎏/㎠), whereas ‘Soomany’ had thinner leaves (0.53 ㎜) than ‘Sammany’ (0.62 ㎜). ‘Soomany’ variety has shown strong resistance to powdery mildew disease compared to ‘Sammany’. In May 2019, the right of variety protection of ‘Soomany’ was registered as a new Gomchwi variety (Register No. 192).
