        MoO<sub>2</sub>-decorated TiO<sub>2</sub> Nanofiber Composite as Visible-light Photocatalysts and Electrodes for Supercapacitor Applications

        Anchoring zero-dimensional nanoparticles on a one-dimensional nanomaterial is potentially advantageous in many applications. In this work, we successfully synthesized $MoO_2$- decorated $TiO_2$ nanofibers using a hydrothermal method with ethanol as a reducing agent. The samples were characterized by XRD, SEM-EDX, EPMA, Raman spectroscopy, and FT-IR. The samples were investigated for visible-light photocatalytic activity using methylene blue as a model dye. The novel $MoO_2$-decorated $TiO_2$ composite showed remarkably enhanced performance compared to pristine $MoO_2$ and $TiO_2$. The $MoO_2$-decorated $TiO_2$ composite also exhibited higher electrochemical capacitance than the pristine samples as electrode materials for supercapacitors. The obtained high photocatalytic activity and supercapacitance can be attributed to the synergistic effects between the $MoO_2$ nanoparticles and $TiO_2$ nanofibers. A maximum specific capacitance of $245.1Fg^{-1}$, measured by cyclic voltammetry at a scan rate of 2 mV/s, was achieved in a $1M\;H_2SO_4$ aqueous solution. The electrochemical performances of pure $MoO_2$ nanoparticles were significantly improved after adding $TiO_2$ nanofibers. These results suggest the applicability of the $MoO_2$-decorated $TiO_2$ hierarchical design for the removal of chemical pollutants and as electrode materials for supercapacitors.

        Repaired glass ionomer cement의 결합강도에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study was to compare the bond strengths of different kinds of glass ionomer cements (GIC), which is recently increasing the clinical application in the field of pediatric dentistry and measure the repaired bond strengths in order to examine the clinical applicabilty of partial repaired cases. By using one kind of the light cured type GIC and three kinds of the chemical cured type GIC, the bond strengths of the followings were compared : unrepaired group as control, repaired conditioning group, which was treated the repaired surface using 25% polyacrylic acid and repaired non-conditioning group without surface treatment. Three point bending test was performed under Universal Testing Machine in order to measure the compressive bond strengths. The results were as follows : 1. Light cured GIC had higher bond strength than chemical cured type GIC in both of repaired and unrepaired groups. 2. In repaired cases, all of the materials decreased the bond strength when compared to the control group. In the light cured type, the bond strength of repaired conditioning group decreased 31.6%, repaired non-conditioning group decreased 40.8%. In chemical cured types, the bond strength of repaired conditining group decreased 11.8%, repaired non-conditioning group decreased 20.9%. 3. All the materials, in the case of the chemical treatment on the repaired surface using 25% polyacrylic acid had higher bond strength than untreated but, lower than control group.

        새로 발견한 벽암 각성의 『선원도중결의(禪源圖中決疑)』 간행 배경과 그 내용

        조선중기 벽암 각성(碧巖覺性, 1575-1660)이 찬술한 것으로 알려진 􋺷선원도중결의(禪源圖中決疑)􋺸는 그의 비문과 행장 등에 서명이 소개되어 있을 뿐 지금까지 실물이 확인되지는 않았다. 필자는 부산 범어사 성보박물관에 이 책의 목판본이 소장되어 있음을 발견하고 그 원문과 주요 내용을 소개하고자 한다. 이 책은 1648년(인조 26)년 합천 가야산 해인사에서 판각된 것으로, 「선원도중결의」와 「참상선지설(參詳禪旨說)」 그리고 「서도중결의후(書圖中決疑後)」 3편의 글이 합간(合刊)되어 있다. 「선원도중결의」는 규봉 종밀의 저술인 『선원제전집도서』에 나오는 내용중 도식(圖式)에서 드러난 의문점을 벽암 각성이 여러 선객들의 물음에 답하는 13가지의 문답형식으로 풀어낸 글이다. 「참상선지설」은 1636년 11월 1일 부휴 선수(浮休善修, 1543-1615)의 기일날 화엄사 벽암당에 모인 여러 사형들이 지눌의 『법집별행록절요병입사기』에 나오는 ‘방하교의(放下敎義) 참상선지(參商禪旨)’의 뜻을 묻자, 벽암 각성이 진각 혜심의 『선문염송』에 나오는 제1 고칙(古則)을 인용하여 그 뜻을 밝힌 글이다. 이 두 글은 벽암 각성의 제자이자 당대 글씨로 유명했던 설봉 희안(雪峯希安)이 행서체로 썼다. 책 말미에 실린 「서도중결의후」는 앞의 두 저술에 대한 발문으로, 선조(宣祖)의 부마이자 당대 문장과 글씨로 명성을 떨쳤던 동회(東淮) 신익성(申翊聖, 1588-1644)이 1642년 경기도 용문산 백운루에서 직접 쓴 글이다. 새로 발견된 벽암 각성의 『선원도중결의(禪源圖中決疑)』는 18세기 강학(講學) 사기(私記)의 효시(嚆矢)로 그 의미가 있으며, 그의 교학과 사상이 새롭게 평가되기를 기대한다. The Seonwon dojung gyeorui 禪源圖中決疑, known to have been written by Byeokam Gakseong (1575-1660) in the mid-Joseon period, has not been discovered in the form of a printed edition. Recently, however, I have found out that a xylographic edition of this book is owned by Seongbo Museum in Beomeosa Temple in Busan. The newly found book is a combined issue of the Seonwon dojung gyeorui 禪源圖 中決疑 and the Chamsang seonji seol 參詳禪旨說, another text authored by Byeokam Gakseong, both of which were published at Haeinsa Temple on Mount Gaya in Hapcheon in 1648. The former text is composed of 13 questions and answers, in which Byeokam Gakseong replies to the questions by itinerant Seon monks on the doubtful points appearing in the diagram on the ten stages of delusion and enlightenment from the Chanyuan zhujuan ji duxu 禪源諸詮集都序 (hereafter Preface). The latter text is based on the discourse delivered by Byeokam Gakseong at Hwaeomsa Temple in 1636. This text comprises an explanation for the gist of Bojo Jinul s Seon on the Discarding [Attachment to] the Meaning of the Doctrine and Examining the Seon Tenets in Detail 放下敎義 參商禪旨 from the Beopjip byeorhaengnok jeoryo byeongip sagi 法集別行錄節要幷入私記(hereafter Excerpts). These two texts were in fact dictated to an attendant whose name was Seolbong Huian, a disciple of Byeokam Gakseong. And the postscript to the book, Seo dojung gyeorui hu 書圖中決疑後, was written in calligraphy by Donghoe Sin Ikseong (1588-1644), a son-in-law of King Seonjo, at Baegunru on Mount Yongmun in Gyeonggi Province in 1642. The newly found Byeokam Gakseong’s Seonwon dojung gyeorui has the significant meaning as the initiative in the personal notes 私記 on the Preface and the Excerpts, both of which were annotated by monks of the late Joseon period in the 18th century. Therefore the further substantial studies are expected to proceed on the teaching and thought of Byeokam Gakseong.

        건축법에 의한 필지단위 주택정비방안

        본 연구는 자본주도적인 대규모 주거지정비방식이 초래하는 거주자의 재정착율 저하, 양호한 단독주택재고 자산 감소, 소형주택재고 감소 등의 문제에 대응하여 주거지의 물리적 특성과 주민의 사회경제적 부담능력에 따라 선택가능한 정비수단이 필요하다는 인식에서부터 출발하였다. 특히 필지단위의 도시공간조직을 유지하는 것이 변화하는 미래의 사회?경제적 상황에 능동적으로 대응할 뿐 아니라 지속가능한 주거지 재생을 실현할 수 있다는 당위성이 그 시작점이다. 본 연구에서 제시한 필지단위 주택정비 활성화 방안은 건축법 체계 내에서 거주자의 자발적인 정비의지에 따라 주택갱신을 운용하는 것이다. 건축협정의 체결을 전제로 건축높이규제 등의 건축법 예외적용과 맞벽건축 활성화 방안은, 물리적 정비를 수반하지 못하는 마을만들기 사업의 한계를 보완할 수 있는 수단이라는 점에서 의의가 있다. 연구결과로 제안된 수단을 실제 주택정비시로 시뮬레이션하여 주거환경 개선에 실효성이 있음을 입증하였다. 특히 소규모 필지와 협소한 도로에 면한 필지가 많은 노후주거지에서도 일부 건축기준의 예외적용 시 주택정비 가능성을 제시하였다. This study starts from the discussion tackling the problems of large scale housing renewal methodologies which cause low re-settlement levels, decrease of capacity in single-family housings and affordable housings. An optional development approach, flexible to the socioeconomic capabilities of residents, needs to be considered. This study suggests that sustaining lot-based developments is needed to respond to the ever-changing socio-economic conditions and to achieve sustainable housing regeneration. The proposed approach of lot-based housing revitalization can be achieved by a gradual process of housing renewal taken by residents? own initiative within the systems of the Building Act. Specifically, the adoption of the building agreement to make cases of exception of the Building Act and actively make use of party wall construction is anticipated to overcome the limits of neighborhood projects in the past. The policy suggestions of the research, tested through its housing renovation simulation, are proven to be an efficient method of housing renewal. In particular, party wall constructions and regulation of building heights to ensure right to have sunlight are suggested to become an effective way of implementing lot-based housing revitalization especially in cases of old properties adjacent to narrow alleys.

        미용소재 개발을 위한 남천(Nandina domestica) 열매 추출물의 항산화 효과

        This study was carried out to investigate the antioxidative effects of water and ethanol extracts from the fruit of Nandina domestica as part of the development of functional beauty materials. The highest content of polyphenol compound was 115.06 mg/g in the water extract, and the content of flavonoid compounds was the highest as 60.73 mg/g in the ethanol extract. In the measurements of electron donating ability, both extracts revealed high abilities more than 80% at 0.1 mg/mL concentration. The SOD-like activities of water and ethanol extracts showed the highest effect as 42.88% and 45.96% at 1.0 mg/mL concentration, respectively. In the analysis of nitrate scavenging activity, ethanol extract showed the highest activity as 60.92% and 62.70% in the condition of pH 1.2 and pH 3.0 at 1.0 mg/mL concentration, respectively. The xanthine oxidase inhibitory rate of water extract had the highest effect as 96.97% at 1.0 mg/mL concentration. These results verified that water and ethanol extracts from the fruit of N. domestica have a strong antioxidant activity and can be used as an effective antioxidant source for manufactures, medicines and cosmetic stuffs.

        보문 : 맥문동(Liriope platyphylla) 열매 추출물의 항노화 효과 및 항산화 활성

        Anti-aging and antioxidant activities of extracts from Liriope platyphylla fruits were investigated for availability of cosmetics and beauty industrial materials. The flavonoid and polyphenol compounds of water-soluble extract (WE) were51.02 mg/g and 163.52 mg/g, those of methanolic extract (ME) were 87.02 mg/g and 92.30 mg/g, respectively. The tyrosinase inhibition rate for a whitening effect was 17.12% in the ME at 1,000 μg/mL. In the analysis of collagenase inhibitory activity, ME showed definitely superior effect to ascorbic acid at all experimental concentrations except in the result of 1,000 μg/mL condition. In the results of elastase inhibition, the activity was increased with an increment of concentration and WE showed the highest activity of 43.23% at 1,000 μg/mL, additionally WE had higher effects than that of ME in all concentrations. In measurements of xanthine oxidase inhibitory activity, WE and ME showed a significantly high inhibition activity of 94.70% and 95.65%, respectively, at 1,000 μg/mL and the activity was increased in proportional to the concentration. The SOD-like activity was the highest as 41.85% in the measurement of ME at 1,000μg/mL. Electron donating abilities of WE and ME were over 60%, and then ME had excellent effect compare to ascorbic acid. In the analysis of nitrite scavenging ability, WE (97.93%) and ME (96.03%) showed a significantly higher effect at pH 1.2 condition. These results suggest that the extract of L. platyphylla fruits have the potential to be used as whitening, anti-wrinkling agent and antioxidant resources.

        쉼터 이용 경험이 있는 학대피해 여성노인에 대한 생애사 연구: 독립거주를 택한 경우를 중심으로

        본 연구의 목적은 쉼터 이용 경험이 있는 학대피해 여성노인의 삶을 독립거주를 택한 경우를 중심으로, 생애사적 맥락에서 분석하는 것이다. 이에, 해당 여성노인들 2인의 생애사에 대한 자료를 Rosenthal의 내러티브-생애사 인터뷰 방법에 따라 수집하였고, 자료분석도 동일한 방법에 따라 하였다. 그 결과, 이 여성노인들은 모두 전 생애에 걸쳐 ‘차별’과 ‘학대’를 당하였는데, 그럼에도 불구하고 인정투쟁의 삶을 살아온 공통점을 보이고 있었다. 그러나 인정투쟁의 방식이 한 여성노인의 생애사에서는 ‘일’이 되고 있고, 다른 한 여성노인의 생애사에서는 ‘공부’가 되고 있는 차이를 보이고 있었다. 이에, 이러한 연구결과에 의거하여 노인학대와 관련한 사회복지실천에 시사하는 함의를 논의하였다. The purpose of this study is to analyze the lives of women in the independent housing who had experiences with the shelters for the abused elderly. For this purpose, the data on the lives of the two abused elderly women were collected and analyzed with the Rosenthal’s biographical interviews analysis method. The result shows that the two elderly women have lived in the struggle for recognition, although they have been 'discriminated' and 'abused' throughout their lives. However, one woman have lived in the struggle for recognition with 'work', but the other woman in the struggle for recognition with ‘study’. Based on these results, some implications for the social welfare practice with the abused elderly were discussed.

        자근 추출물의 항산화 및 항노화 활성

        This study was conducted to determine physiological effects and anti-wrinkling activities of Lithospermi radix extracts secured using water-soluble low temperature vacuum extraction (WE) and ethanolic extraction (EE). The highest level of total polyphenol compounds was 6.90 mg/g (from WE), and the highest level of flavonoid compounds was 4.93 mg/g (from EE). WE showed the highest electron donating ability (72.42% at a concentration of 1,000 μg/mL). EE showed the highest superoxide dismutase-like activity (17.92% at a concentration 1,000 μg/mL). Additionally, the highest activity of ABTS radical-scavenging ability was found in WE (32.43% in the 50 μg/mL concentration). The nitrate scavenging ability of contents derived from WE revealed their highest effects at pH 1.2 (77.78%) and pH 3.0 (39.38%) at concentration of 1,000 μg/mL. The elastase inhibition rates were greater in contents derived from EE (64.04%), and measures of collagenase inhibition rates revealed 45.83% in extracts obtained by WE. In the cytotoxicity test of the extract on RAW264.7 macrophages and HaCaT keratinocytes using the MTT assay, cell viability increased in a concentration-dependent manner, and no cytotoxicity was observed between 10 to 50 μg/mL. In these results, the water-soluble and ethanolic extracts obtained from Lithospermi radix displayed strong antioxidant activity. Consequently, Lithospermi radix could be used as a useful antioxidant substance for nutraceutical foods, medicines and cosmetic stuffs.
