Deep Learning Driven Interference Cancellation Scheme in High Speed Power Line Communication

This paper presents a novel methodology to significantly enhance the reliability of high-speed power line communication (HS-PLC) systems via deep learning (DL). We impact to propose and validate a DL-based pre-compensation scheme specially designed for the effective mitigation of impulsive noise. It utilizes a pre-trained DL model deployed at the transmitter to accurately predict the instantaneous statistical characteristics of the impulsive noise. This predictive information enables real-time pre-compensation of the transmitted signal, resulting in a substantial improvement in the received signal quality. To ensure optimal prediction accuracy, a comprehensive noise database was meticulously constructed based on the empirical characteristics of measured noise patterns. For channel modeling, the Middleton Class A interference model was adopted to accurately simulate the representative impulsive noise conditions. The performance was rigorously evaluated through bit error rate (BER) analysis. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed DL-based technique achieves a marked reduction in BER and a significant enhancement in signal quality relative to conventional systems. The developed system model holds promising potential as a universal solution for signal integrity improvement, extending its applicability beyond HS-PLC to a wide spectrum of wired and wireless communication systems susceptible to impulsive interference.

협력 노드의 합리적 임계치 공유를 통한 센싱 검출 성능 분석

본 논문에서는 협력하고자하는 소출력 기기들이 협력 스펙트럼 센싱 할 경우 협력 노드들이 같은 FA(False Alarm)가지고 있다 가정 하며, 이때 최적의 임계값을 셋팅하고 서로 정보를 공유하는 시스템 모델을 제안하고 성능을 분석한다. 협력하고자하는 모든 노드의 False alarm이 같아도 각 채널에 따라 임계값이 달라지게 된다. 임계값이 낮아지면 검출확률이 낮아지게 되고, 반대로 임계값이 높을 때 검출확률은 높아지는 특성을 가지기 때문에, 따라서 가장 높음 임계값을 선택하여 세팅하고 공유하게 된다. 이는 협력스펙트럼 센싱시 가장 높은 임계값을 공유함으로써 고정되어 있는 임계값을 보다 높은 검출성능을 보일 수 있다.
Optimum design of the cored linear motor using experiment design

Recently, a linear motor has been becoming widely popular in office automation (OA) and factory automation (FA) systems due to its simple structure, high-speed operation, and precise positioning. In this study, a cored linear motor was designed to have a large thrust and small ripple because these are considered as indicators of motor performance. The thrust and ripple of the linear motor can be calculated by a finite element method (FEM) commercial program such as ANSYS. To design the cored linear motor, first, the design variables were selected through ANOM and ANOVA. The response surface method was applied to formulate the cost function of the second-order regression model, which can evaluate motor performance. By optimizing the cost function, it was possible to realize quickly the optimum design for a cored linear motor. As a result, the performance of the motor was improved.

본 본문에서는 Code division multiple access (CDMA) 사용자와 협대역 사용자가 동일 주파수 대역에 존재하는 곳에서 direct sequence/CDMA (DS/CDMA) 오버레이 시스템에 대해 pseudorandom noise (PN) 코드 획득 성능 상의 안테나 다이버시티의 효과 가 분석되고 시뮬레이션 되었다. 시뮬레이션 결과는 안테나 다이버시티가 PN 획득 성능에 매우 효과적임을 보인다. 이 논문의 결과 는 DS/CDMA 오버레이 환경에서 동기 구조의 설계에 적용될 수 있다. In this paper, effect of antenna diversity on pseudorandom noise (PN) code acquisition performance is analyzed and simulated for a direct sequence/code division multiple access (DS/CDMA) overlay system where a CDMA user and a narrowband user coexist in the same frequency band. From the simulation results, it is shown that the antenna diversity is very effective in improving the PN acquisition performance. The results of this paper can be applied to design of synchronization scheme for a DS/CDMA overlay environment.
ESG 등급에 따른 기업경영성과 차이 분석: 한국거래소 상장 식품기업을 중심으로

Recently, ESG(Environmental, Social, Governance) has been recognized as an important factor for the sustainable growth of companies. However, only 14.5% of food manufacturing companies have adopted ESG management. In particular, small and medium-sized enterprises(SMEs) face difficulties in implementing ESG management due to a lack of specialized personnel and resource constraints. The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of ESG ratings on the management performance of 40 food manufacturing companies listed on the Korea Exchange(KRX) that have been evaluated for ESG. The one-way ANOVA was used and performedon data for 40 food manufacturing companies published by the Korea Institute of Corporate Governance and Sustainability(KCGS) in 2023. The results of the analysis showed statistically significant differences in sales (F=12.936, p<0.001) and foreign ownership(F=7.74, p<0.01) based on ESG ratings. Furthermore, Scheffe's post-hoc analysis indicated that the higher the ESG rating andindividual scores, the better the overall management performance. Therefore, it is concluded that food manufacturing companies should continuously invest in and focus on ESG management to secure a competitive advantage in the market and achieve sustainable growth.

Global Response of Submerged Floating Tunnel against Underwater Explosion

Submerged Floating Tunnels (SFT) for transportation must be designed to secure passengers’ safety in case of accidental events. Underwater explosion is the most critical event to long submerged structures. In this paper, first, shock waves and impulse pressures generated by an explosive away from the SFT are expressed by the formulas coming from the experimental results. Second, the SFT tethered by mooring lines and anchors is modeled as a simply supported uniform beam with continuous elastic springs. Finite element analysis for the beam model subjected to the impulse loading from the experimental formulas is conducted by using a commercial code so that the response of the SFT can be investigated. For design purpose, theoretical analysis is also conducted for the same model. Simple equations to show the response of the SFT due to underwater explosion attack were deduced. Time dependent displacements were calculated by these equations. The calculated results were compared with the previous numerical results and proved to give good agreement with them. Theoretical analysis using the simple equations yields solutions so rapidly that they can be applied for parametric study of the response of SFT against underwater explosion during initial design stage.
