        Cross-Reactivity of Porcine Immunoglobulin A Antibodies with Fecal Immunoglobulins of Wild Boar (Sus scrofa ) and Other Animal Species

        Fecal samples obtained from wild boar habitats are useful for the surveillance of diseases in wild boar populations; however, it is difficult to determine the species of origin of feces collected in natural habitats. In this study, a fecal IgA ELISA was evaluated as a method for identifying the porcine species from fecal samples. Both domestic pigs (Sus scrofa domestica ) and wild boars (Sus scrofa coreanus ) showed significantly higher levels of fecal IgA than other animal species. Additionally, age dependent changes in the level of Ig A in wild boars and domestic pigs were identified; Titers of Ig A were highest in suckling period and lowest in weanling period.

        호텔 조리사의 학습조직이 창의성, 혁신행동, 조직성과에 미치는 영향

        This study aimed to analyze the influence of the learning organization of cooks at five-star hotels on creativity, innovative behavior, and organizational achievement, and put forward an efficient proposal based on the results of the analysis. For the purposes of the study, a total of 322 questionnaires were distributed to a parent population of cooks at five-star hotels in Seoul and 301 questionnaires with qualified responses were utilized in the empirical analysis. The collected data was analyzed using the SPSS ver. 21.0 and AMOS ver. 18.0 statistics package. As a result of an empirical analysis based on a structural equation model analysis, the hypothesis on the learning organization of hotel cooks having an effect on creativity (Hypothesis 1) was adopted. Accordingly, the hypothesis on the learning organization of hotel cooks having an effect on innovative behavior (Hypothesis 2); the hypothesis predicting that the learning organization of hotel cooks has an effect on organizational achievement (Hypothesis 3); the hypothesis that creativity affects innovative behavior (Hypothesis 4); the hypothesis that creativity affects organizational achievement (Hypothesis 5); and lastly, the hypothesis that innovative behavior affects organizational achievement (Hypothesis 6) were adopted. In this study, practical and academic implications were given based on these findings.

        AHP 기법을 적용한 국방정보시스템 보호를 위한 사이버전 교육 방안 연구

        본 논문은 사이버전을 담당하는 전문 인력 양성 방안에 관한 연구로써 군의 사이버 작전수행 능력 확보를 위한 우리나라 사이버전 분야의 인적자원 교육 환경 실태를 파악한다. 특히, 군에서 요구하는 사이버전 인력 특성을 파악하고 그에 적합한 교과목 선정을 위하여 계층 분석적 의사결정(AHP) 기법 을 적용해 사이버전 전문 인력 양성에 필요한 중요 요소를 민과 군의 정보 보호 실무자를 대상으로 산출한다. AHP 분석 결과, 사이버전 전문 인력은 기술 부분의 능력 뿐 아니라 국방정보시스템 운용 능력 및 사이버전 정책에 대한 이해가 요구되는 것으로 나타났다. This paper presents a method for cultivating cyber-warfare professionals. In order to achieve that, we examined the current education environments of cyber-warfare. Also, this paper focuses on determining important factors for cultivating cyber-warfare professionals using AHP analysis. As a results, cyber warfare professionals require the ability to understand security technology, defense information system, and cyber warfare strategy.

        PVDF 필름 기반 센서를 이용한 무구속적인 누운 자세 추정

        As body postures on bed affects various sleep related diseases, it is considered as important information when monitoring sleeping in daily life. Though there have already been a few approaches to monitor body postures on bed conventionally, the development for simple and unconstrained methods is still needed to realize the long-term daily monitoring. Focusing on the fact that ballistocardiogram changes depending on the body postures on bed, we developed a novel method to estimate body posturesusing extremely simple, film-type ballistocardiogram sensor which is based on polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF) film. With 10 subjects, we performed two experiments. One was for an estimation test to show that body postures on bed can be estimated by ballistocardiogram, and the other was for a reproducibility test to present the feasibility of ballistocardiogram based body postures monitoring. To estimate body postures on bed, we made an individual template set of body postures by designating one ballistocardiogram (BCG) sample as a template in each postures. Then, we calculated Pearson's correlation coefficients between a sample and each templates and estimated the body posture of the sample by choosing a posture which corresponds to the most significant correlation coefficients. As a result, we estimated body postures on bed with 99.2% accuracy in average and found that the estimation using ballistocardiogram is reproducible.

        동종유래각질세포(Cultured Allogenic Keratinocytes, Kaloderm<sup>®</sup>)를 이용한 부분층 피부 결손의 치료

        Purpose: Grafting with autograft skin remains the most effective method for treating skin defects. When insufficient donor sites are present or patients are afraid of the operation, a skin graft is impossible. Cultured allogenic keratinocytes speed wound healing by providing cover and by producing growth factors and extracellular matrix protein. We report an application of cultured allogenic keratinocytes ($Kaloderm^{(R)}$, Tegoscience, Seoul, Korea) in the treatment of an acute partial thickness skin defect. Methods: From March 2005 to January 2006, 20 patients with a partial thickness skin defect were treated with cultured allogenic keratinocytes. The wound was covered with a sheet of cultured allogenic keratinocytes and ointment with $Bactigras^{(R)}$ gauze. The wound was inspected every two or three days. We regarded completion of epithelialization as wound healing. Results: The mean period between time of injury and time of $Kaloderm^{(R)}$ application was 7.5 days. The time taken from application of $Kaloderm^{(R)}$ to complete closure of the wounds was 7.2 days. Conclusion: In view of the favorable outcome, cultured allogenic keratinocytes are safe and effective biologic dressing materials for use in the treatment of open wounds.

        염소의 개체식별에 활용 가능한 초위성체 마커 세트 확립

        The purpose of this study is to establish a set of microsatellite (MS) markers for theindividual identification and parentage verification of goat. 17 and 13 MS markers were selectedfrom FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization) and NCBI (National Center for BiotechnologyInformation), respectively. Genotyping of 30 MS markers was investigated with 455 animals,from 10 goat breeds or populations. Seven markers (SRCRSP1, SRCRSP8, OarFCB048,OarFCB193, BOBT24, INRA063, and DRBP1) were selected, based on heterozygosity value,and PCR product size. Moreover, multiplex PCR was applied, for genotyping these sevenselected markers. Mean values of expected heterozygosity (HExp) and polymorphic informationcontent (PIC) were calculated as 0.710 and 0.674, respectively. The expected probability ofidentity among genotypes of random individuals (PI), probability of identity among genotypesfrom random half sibs (PI half-sibs), and probability of identity among genotypes from random sibs (PI sibs), were estimated as 2.42×10-11, 1.70×10-8and 2.22×10-4, respectively. These resultsindicate that the established MS marker set is useful for effective improvement and stabledistribution of the goat in Korea. 본 연구의 목적은 염소의 개체식별에 있어서 효율적인 microsatellite (MS) marker set를 확립하는데있다. 염소 10집단 455두를 대상으로 국제식량농업기구(FAO) 권고 및 미국 국립생물정보센터(NCBI)에서수집한 30개 MS 마커에 대한 유전정보량을 확인한 후 대립유전자형 크기, 형광표지 종류, PCR 조건 등을 고려하여 7개의 MS 마커(SRCRSP1, SRCRSP8, OarFCB048, OarFCB193, BOBT24, INRA063,DRBP1)를 선정하였다. 또한 분석 효율성을 극대화하기 위해 7개 마커에 대해서 multiplex PCR 기법을적용하였다. 분석된 7개 MS 좌위에서 총 80개의 대립유전자형이 관찰되었고, 기대이형접합도(HExp) 및다형정보지수(PIC)의 평균치는 0.710 및 0.674로 산출되었다. 7개 좌위의 다형성을 기반으로 무작위 교배집단, 반형매 교배집단 그리고 전형매 교배집단으로 가정하였을 때의 동일개체 출현확률은 각각2.42×10-11, 1.70×10-8 및 2.22×10-4으로 산출되었다. 이상의 결과는 국내에서 사육되고 있는 염소의개체수를 고려할 경우 동일개체 출현 가능성이 없는 것으로 판단된다. 따라서 본 연구에 의해서 구축된염소 개체식별 마커 세트 및 분석방법은 우리나라 염소의 개량 및 안전유통에 유용하게 활용될 수 있을것으로 사료된다.

        심장박동수 변이를 이용한 미주신경자극법에 대한 비교연구

        Purpose: Aim of this study was to compare the effects of the Valsalva maneuver (VM), carotid sinus massage (CSM) and cold water facial immersion (CWFI) on the automomic nervous system of the heart by measuring heart rate variability. Methods: Maximal endurance VM, CSM for 10 seconds, and CWFI for 30 seconds were done on healthy subjects. Prolongation of the R-R interval (RRI), vagal ratio (ratio of maximal RRI after vagal stimulation to mean RRI before stimulation), duration of maximal RRI, and variables from a power spectrum analysis and time domain analysis were compared. Results: RRIs were significantly prolonged in the CSM and CWFI groups compared to the VM group. Vagal ratio was greatest with the CWFI group. The CSM group had the fastest reaction, with no right and left difference, and the VM group was the slowest. Increase in the high frequency (HF) power of RRI variability was greater with CWFI than with VM. LF/HF ratio showed meaningful decrease with CWFI and CSM as compared to VM. Standard deviation of all normal-to-normal intervals (SDNN) and Square root of the mean of the sum of the squares of differences between adjacent normal-to-normal intervals (RMSSD) was significantly greater with CWFI and with VM than with both CSMs. Conclusion: CWFI could prolongate RRI more than other procedures and could also increase vagal activity of the heart more than other methods. VM is difficult to perform properly, and CSM is prone to complication when done by non-medical personnels. CWFI, however, is a relatively safe technique for primary treatment that can be done with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia.

        A Filtering Strategy for Improving Charateristics-Based Portfolios

        In this paper, we propose new indexes to measure the predictive power for future returns possessed by firm characteristics and find that the predictive power significantly differs across the cross-section of assets. We also propose a filtering strategy to improve conventional characteristics-based portfolio profits. The new strategy filters out assets with low predictive power. We apply the new strategy to equity data and find that it significantly outperforms the conventional strategy for several well-known firm characteristics. We also find that characteristics-based portfolio profits are not prevalent but rather driven by only a small subset of stocks.
