인체공학적 자동차 페달의 평가를 위한 근육피로도 및 족압 측정

본 연구에서는 무릎관절운동을 최소화하기 위해 설계된 자동차 페달이 하지근육에 미치는 영향을 연구 하였다. 이를 위하여 정상적인 자동차 페달과 새로이 개발된 페달을 사용하였다. 4개의 EMG 채널을 사용 근육피로도와 4개의 센서를 사용 발바닥 압력을 측정 하였다. 선정된 근육은 발목 굽힘/폄과 관계하는 압정강근(Tibialis Anterior m.)과 장딴지근(Gastrocnemius m.) 그리고 무릎 및 엉덩이 굽힘/폄에 관련되는 넙다리곧은근(Rectus Femoris m.)과 Hamstrings를 선정하였다. EMG값은 RMS(Root Mean Square)와 MPF(Mean Power Frequency) 데이터를 분석하였다. 실험과 동시에 피로도와 선호도에 대한 주관적 설문 조사를 실시하였다. 실험 결과 기존의 자동차 페달 보다는 개선된 자동차 페달에서 일부 근육의 피로도가 감소한다는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 개선된 자동차 페달에서 압력 또한 일부감소 하는 것이 발견되었다. 이러한 개량된 자동차 페달은 하지관절 운동에 장애가 있거나 장시간 차량운전자에게 새로운 대안으로 제시될 수도 있을 것이다.
자동차 페달 반복 사용 시 보조 발판이 하지근육 활동과 피로에 미치는 영향

This study examined the effect of ergonomic heel rest that was designed for drivers who have physical handicap in the low leg muscles or have to drive prolonged hours with frequent foot pedaling. An experiment was designed to test the ergonomic heel rest with traditional foot pedal. Forty subjects participated in the experiment. Electromyography(EMG) was used to monitor the muscle activity and fatigue of right leg, and Electro-goniometer was used to measure the ranges of motions of the knee and ankle. A simulator of driver's seat was built for the experiment and the heel rest was installed on it. In order to examine the low muscle activity and range of motion, subjects used the foot pedal for 15 minutes repetitively for each experimental condition. Another 15 minutes test without the heel rest was also performed for comparison. The Root Mean Square(RMS) and Mean Power Frequency(MPF) Shift were used to quantify the level of muscle activity and local muscle fatigue. In results, statistically significant decreases of muscle activity and fatigue were found in all the low leg muscles. The range of motion of the knee and ankle joint also decreased when the heel rest was used. The mechanism of the heel rest effect was discussed in this study. This type of heel rest can be applied to real driving situation after ensuring the safety, or overcoming the psychological discomfort possibly due to unfamiliarity.
오토 차량 운전시 보조 발판이 제동 시간에 미치는 영향

The purpose of this study was to test the safety of the heel rest which was made for reducing the automobile driver's muscle fatigue with automatic transmission. Sixty subjects participated in the test, including ten males and ten females in 30s, 40s, 50s, respectively. Simulator consisted of automobile cockpit, accelerator and brake pedal sensor, heel rest, and driving displays. 30 seconds were given to subjects to be accustomed to the simulator environment. They also had one pre-trial to use the brake pedal according to the experimental scenario. They were told to step on the brake pedal immediately as soon as the red light was on the display. The reaction time representing the foot travel time between accelerator and brake pedal was measured with/without the heel rest. In results, there was no significant difference in reaction time between conditions with/without heel rest. The result indicated that the heel rest used in this study would be a safe accessory for drivers who need to reduce the fatigue of the muscle or joint during driving.
