The purpose of this study is to analyze the knowledge level about cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) based on the general characteristics of students in the department of emergency medical service. If the curriculum for CPR is inadequate, we would like to present basic data to complement its shortcomings and develop the educational system. The survey is conducted with 154 students from the first year to the fourth year enrolled in the department of emergency medical service in G University in I city. Data are analyzed by using SPSS 25.0. The knowledge level of CPR was higher in fourth-year students than that of other grades students. In addition, the knowledge level of CPR was higher in students who have certificates related to CPR, respectively. Based on the results of this study, it is necessary to develop and apply the educational system to improve knowledge level about the department of emergency medical service. Furthermore, it is required to make efforts to reaffirm the effects of this educational system. 본 연구는 응급구조학과 학생의 일반적 특성에 따른 심폐소생술에 대한 지식수준을 분석하여 심폐소생술 교육과정의 미흡한 부분이 있다면 이 부분을 개선하여 교육체계 발전의 기초자료를 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구는 I시 G대학교 응급구조학과에 재학 중인 1학년부터 4학년 154명을 대상으로 설문조사를 시행 후 SPSS 25.0을 이용하여 분석하였다. 심폐소생술에 대한 지식수준은 4학년이 다른 학년에 비해 높게 나타났다. 또한 심폐소생술 관련 자격증이 있는 대상자, 임상실습 경험이 있는 대상자, 실제 심폐소생술 경험이 있는 대상자는 각각 자격증이 없는 대상자, 임상실습이 없는 대상자, 심폐소생술 경험이 없는 대상자에 비하여 지식수준이 높게 나타났다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 응급구조학과 학생의 심폐소생술에 대하여 꾸준한 지식수준의 향상을 위한 교육체계의 개발 및 적용이 필요하고 이후에 이 교육체계의 효과를 재확인하는 노력이 필요하다.
