북한이주민의 지역사회 적응 실태 분석을 통한 통일교육 자원 활용 가능성 연구

The purpose of this paper is to suggest one of solutions to reduce confusion brought about in unifying one society through North Korean escapees in the process of unification and the future unification accomplishment. This paper is to analyze the adaptation conditions of 104 North Korean escapees inhabiting in Daegu area in various viewpoints by a questionnaire survey, and to present problems and suggestions related with these. It is necessary to make human power pool among North Korean escapees living in Daegu area and to develop in-service training programs. And also administrative and financial support systems to each school for unification education are needed, and by using these the efficiency of unification education can be raised. This paper gives some suggestions for better unification education for students and shows application capability of North Korean escapees as instructors to participate in unification education. 본 연구는 분단이 장기화되면서 통일문제에 대한 회의적인 시각이 젊은 층을 중심으로 확산되는 경향에 주목하여 통일을 이루어가는 과정에서 그리고 훗날 통일이 되었을 때, 남북한이 하나의 사회로 통합되는데 따른 혼란을 줄여줄 수 있는 해법의 한 실마리를 북한이주민들을 통해 제시해 보고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 대구지역에 거주하는 104명의 북한이주민들의 적응 실태를 설문조사를 통해 다각도로 분석한 후, 이와 관련된 문제점 및 정책적 시사점을 제시하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이 분석 결과를 기초로 하여 북한이주민이 우리 사회의 학교 통일교육에 어느 정도 기여할 수 있는지에 대해 중점적으로 논의하고 있다. 앞으로 지역사회에 거주하는 북한이주민들 가운데 통일교육 프로그램에 활용될 수 있는 인력풀(pool)을 구축하고 이들에 대한 교육 및 연수프로그램의 개발과 실험을 수행할 필요가 있다고 생각한다. 또한 통일교육이 실제로 이루어지고 있는 교육현장의 행⋅재정적 지원체계를 마련한 뒤 관련 교육 및 연수프로그램을 활용하여 우리 사회의 통일교육에 대한 효율성을 높여나가야 할 것이다.
