      • 보편적 학습설계(UDL)를 통한 교실 내 인성교육의 실천

        지난 15년간 추진되어온 ‘모두를 위한 교육’은 학습권 보장을 강조하였으나, The 2030 Agenda에서 제시된 17개 지속가능한 목표 중 4번은 양질의 교육과 포용적인 교육을 지향한다. 포용적 가치는 21세기 교육현장의 핵심 가치로서 inclusive한 교육은 인성교육의 실천적 전략중 하나이다. 세계 최초로 시행된 ‘인성교육진흥법’은 우리나라에서 좀 더 체계적인 인성교육을 가능하게 하나 창의적ㆍ체험 활동과 교과목 중심 교육으로 강조되고 있다. 인성교육은 분리된 교육활동이 아니라 모든 교수-학습활동에 흡수되어 제공되어야 하고, 교사가 핵심 가치를 모델링하며, 학생들의 실천을 가이드 해야 한다. 교실 내 인성 교육을 실천하기 위한 방안 중 하나는 먼저 배려와 포용, 이해를 기본으로 하는 학습 환경이 필수적이다. 교실 내 문화나 언어의 차이, 학생들의 배경지식과 개별적 능력의 차이를 포용하는 ‘안전망’ 안에서 인성교육이 가능하다. 보편적 학습설계(Universal Design for Learning: UDL)는 학생들의 다양한 능력과 학습방식, 배경지식과 학습 준비도, 문화 등을 배려하여 모든 학생에게 평등한 ‘학습’의 기회를 제공하고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 UDL 기반 대안적 교수전략을 활용한 인성교육 실천방안을 구현할 수 있다. 모든 학생들이 배려되는 보편적 교실 내 학습활동은 인성교육을 위한 가장 현실적인 실천 전략이다.

        포스트 코로나 시대의 블렌디드 수업 평가준거 타당성 연구: 공학계열 대학을 중심으로

        In the post-Corona era, blended learning will be one of the most important instructional strategies for successful education. The purpose of this study is to examine reliability and validity of the instrument developed in the instructional aspect so that a successful blended learning can take place. This instrument consists of 31 items to evaluate class operation, online learning environment, online contents, offline class, interaction and overall satisfaction. For this study, a survey was conducted in LMS and the responses of 164 students were used for analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to evaluate validation of this instrument and this analysis was run in R studio. As a result of CFA, the standardized factor loadings of all items were 0.930~0.754 and the reliability and validity of all constructs were adequate. The results of this instrument enable universities to manage the quality of their classes and instructors can use them as self-checklist to improve future classes in terms of instructional points. Finally, this instrument can be used in a variety of learner-centered learning environments.

        블렌디드 수업을 위한 학습 오리엔테이션 개발 및 학습자 인식 연구

        블렌디드 수업을 위한 학습 오리엔테이션 개발 및 학습자 인식 연구배 윤 희* 연구 목적: 이 연구는 블렌디드 수업을 위한 학습 오리엔테이션의 효과성을 살펴보고 시사점을 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 연구 방법: 이를 위해 학습 오리엔테이션 콘텐츠를 개발하고, 두 학기 동안 사전 조사를 실시하여 2회 모두 응답한 학습자 51명을 대상으로 인식 변화를 비교・분석하였다. 연구 내용: 연구 결과, 학습 오리엔테이션 실시는 ‘학습목표 인지’, ‘수업방식 인지’, ‘수업방식 이해정도’, ‘평가방식 인지’, ‘수업방식 이해도’에 도움을 주며, 오리엔테이션 실시 전・후를 비교한 결과 ‘전반적 사전이해도’, ‘수업방식 이해도’에 도움을 주었다. 마지막으로 회귀분석 결과 ‘온라인 학습능숙도’가 높을수록 ‘수업방식 이해도’에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 결론 및 제언: 본 연구에서는 블렌디드 수업 오리엔테이션 실시 효과를 검증하여 블렌디드 수업의 효과적인 운영을 위한 수업 요소로서의 의미를 규명하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 핵심어: 블렌디드 수업, 학습 오리엔테이션, 온라인 콘텐츠, 사전 조사, 학습자 인식 □ 접수일: 2022년 10월 4일, 수정일: 2022년 11월 11일, 게재확정일: 2022년 12월 20일* 한국공학대학교 메타버시티혁신센터 책임교수(Professor, Tech Univ. of Korea, Email: blancagloria@tukorea.ac.kr) A Study on the Development and Perception ofStudent Orientation for Blended LearningYunhee Bae Abstract: The purpose of this study was to explore the value of a student orientation for blended learning by designing and implementing one for university learners and examining its educational effects. To do so, we designed and implemented the student orientation content in the context of blended learning. The pre-survey was conducted twice for 2 semesters with 51 students to find out how they perceive blended learning. First, conducting the student orientation helps to understand ‘perceptions of instructional objectives’, ‘perceptions of course modalities’, ‘perceptions of evaluation methods’, and ‘course modalities understanding’. Second, comparing before and after the implementation of the student orientation group, it helps improve 'overall pre-understanding' and 'course modalities understanding'. Further, the higher the online skillfulness, the more positive the student orientation with the course modalities. We further present suggestions for implementing student orientation in blended learning based on the study results.         Effect of Motor Control Training with Strengthening Exercises on Pain and Muscle Strength of Patients with Shoulder Impingement Syndrome

        Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of movement training based on motor control theory on pain and average power of muscles in patients with shoulder impingement syndrome and to develop more effective training methods. Methods: We studied 35 patients with shoulder impingement syndrome. Patients were randomly assigned to an experimental group or a control group according to the intervention. The therapeutic modalities such as superficial heat,deep heat, and electronic stimulus, and motor control training with strengthening exercises were applied to the experimental group and therapeutic modalities only were applied to the control group. All interventions were done 3 times a week for 4 weeks. Before the intervention and again after the 4 weeks, we measured pain utilizing a visual analog scale. We measured average power using isokinetic equipment. Results: After application of the intervention, pain significantly decreased in both the experimental group and the control group. There was a significant difference between the extent of the decrease between experimental and control groups. After the intervention, the average power between the two groups were significant at an angle of 60°/sec and 180°/sec for external rotator and internal rotator muscles. They also showed significant improvement in all variables post‐intervention compared to pre‐intervention. Conclusion: This study indicates that there is an effect in giving appropriate motor control training to patients with shoulder impingement syndrome. It is assumed that there will be a need for more surveys on various variables for motor control training from now on.

        Cationic Oligopeptide-Functionalized Mitochondria Targeting Sequence Show Mitochondria Targeting and Anticancer Activity

        Mitochondrial drug delivery systems require development of highly selective mitochondria-targeting carriers. In this study, we report that mitochondria targeting sequence (MTS)-hybrid cationic oligopeptide, MTS-H3R9, shows the dual role of a mitochondria targeting vector along with anticancer effect for cancer therapy. In cytotoxicity assays, MTS-H3R9 was shown to be more effective than MTS. MTS-H3R9 showed significant cell penetration and internalization activity compared to that of MTS along with more efficient escape from lysosome to the cytosol. We showed efficient targeting of MTS-H3R9 to mitochondria in HeLa cell line. Furthermore, we exhibited anticancer agent properties that mitochondrial-accumulated MTS-H3R9 caused cell death by reactive oxygen species generation and loss of mitochondrial membrane potential. MTS-H3R9 exhibited dramatically increased anticancer activity in 3D spheroids as well as in a 2D culture model. We demonstrated that MTS-H3R9 provides dual potentials both as a vehicle for targeted delivery and as a cancer treatment agent for therapeutic applications.

        Smac Gene Delivery by the Glycol Chitosan with Low Molecular Weight Polyethylenimine Induces Apoptosis of Cancer Cells for Combination Therapy with Etoposide

        We developed polymer-based nanoparticle carriers for gene delivery, glycol chitosan (GC)-methyl acrylate-low molecular weight polyethylenimine (800Da PEI), GMP, and investigated their ability to deliver second mitochondria-activation of caspase (Smac) gene into cancer cell lines. We analyzed cytotoxicity level and gene transfection efficiency in GBL-14, U373-MG, MDA-MB-231, and dermal fibroblasts (HDF) cell lines. GMP exhibited significantly lower cytotoxicity level, as compared with PEI25KD. Also, it showed high transfection efficiency in these cell lines. We treated these cells with a complex of GMP and Smac, and investigated their facilitated cellular uptake by flow cytometry. Also, analyses using cell cycle distribution, Annexin V staining, JC-1, and caspase-3 activity, indicated that apoptosis was induced by GMP/ FLAG-Smac combined with etoposide in MDA-MB-231 cell line. This study demonstrates that combining the GMP/FLAG-Smac complex with chemotherapeutic agents could potentially be an effective approach for cancer therapy.

        DQAsomes Nanoparticles Promote Osteogenic Differentiation of Human Adipose-derived Mesenchymal Stem Cells

        Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) can self-renew and differentiate into multiple cell types. The delivery of drugs to MSCs is an important tool in the emerging fields of tissue regeneration and engineering. In this study, we determined the anticancer efficiency of DQAsomes, which displayed affinity toward human adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AD-MSCs). Cytotoxicity assays were conducted to examine human AD-MSCs. We also evaluated the cellular effects of human AD-MSCs treated with DQAsomes by cell cycle distribution analysis, annexin-V propidium iodide staining, and H2DCFDA and found that DQAsomes promoted the differentiation of AD-MSCs into osteoblast cells. Furthermore, flow cytometry analysis revealed that human AD-MSCs treated with DQAsomes maintained the phenotypic characteristics of human AD-MSCs. We demonstrated that DQAsomes can be used in tissue engineering and have clinical relevance as effective drug and protein delivery systems.

        Mutant p53-Notch1 Signaling Axis Is Involved in Curcumin-Induced Apoptosis of Breast Cancer Cells

        Notch1 has been reported to be highly expressed in triple-negative and other subtypes of breast cancer. Mutant p53 (R280K) is overexpressed in MDA-MB-231 triple-negative human breast cancer cells. The present study aimed to determine whether the mutant p53 can be a potent transcriptional activator of the Notch1 in MDA-MB-231 cells, and explore the role of this mutant p53-Notch1 axis in curcumin-induced apoptosis. We found that curcumin treatment resulted in an induction of apoptosis in MDA-MB-231 cells, together with downregulation of Notch1 and its downstream target, Hes1. This reduction in Notch1 expression was determined to be due to the decreased activity of endogenous mutant p53. We confirmed the suppressive effect of curcumin on Notch1 transcription by performing a Notch1 promoter-driven reporter assay and identified a putative p53-binding site in the Notch1promoter by EMSA and chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis. Overexpression of mutant p53increased Notch1 promoter activity, whereas knockdown of mutant p53 by small interfering RNA suppressed Notch1 expression, leading to the induction of cellular apoptosis. Moreover, curcumin-induced apoptosis was further enhanced by the knockdown of Notch1 or mutant p53, but it was decreased by the overexpression of active Notch1. Taken together, our results demonstrate, for the first time, that Notch1 is a transcriptional target of mutant p53 in breast cancer cells and suggest that the targeting of mutant p53 and/or Notch1 may be combined with a chemotherapeutic strategy to improve the response of breast cancer cells to curcumin.

        블렌디드 수업 요소가 수업 만족도에 미치는 영향

        To confirm the effect of blended learning course elements on course satisfaction, this study examined (1) how the online learning environment, online content, offline course, and student interactions affect course satisfaction; and (2) how course design consultation influences blended course elements and satisfaction. A survey was administered through a learning management system (LMS), and analyses were performed on 253 university students. A mediating effect test with bootstrapping was employed, and all analyses were performed using R version 4.1.1. Results showed that, first, blended learning elements affected interactions among students and that online content and offline courses affected their satisfaction. Second, online content and offline courses, excluding the online learning environment, partially mediate the relation between student interaction and satisfaction. Third, a significant difference was observed in blended learning elements and interaction depending on whether course design consultations were conducted. These findings suggest that the design of blended learning courses must prioritize fostering student interactions in both the online and offline phases.
