A bolometer sensor used in an infrared thermal imaging system has many advantages on the process because it does not need a separate cooling system and its manufacturing is easy. However the sensitivity of the bolometer is low and the fixed pattern noise(FPN) is large, because the bolometer sensor is made by micro electro mechanical systems (MEMS). These problems can be fixed-by using the high performance readout integrated circuit(ROIC) with noise reduction techniques. In this paper, we propose differential delta sampling circuit to remove the mismatch noise of ROIC itself, the FPN of the bolometer. And for reduction of FPN noise, the reference signal compensation circuit which compensate the reference signal by using on-resistance of MOS transistor was proposed.

외부로부터 빛의 공급없이 물체에서 방출되는 복사 에너지를 모아 피사체의 영상을 얻는 장비를 적외선 열상 장비라고 한다. 적외선 열상 장비는 크게 광학계, 적외선을 감지하여 전기적 신호로 변환하는 센서, 검출기에서 발생된 신호를 영상 신호에 적합하도록 처리해주는 신호검출 회로, 그리고 기타 신호처리 회로 등으로 구성된다. 이때 적외선 검출기는 MEMS 공정을 이용해서 적외선 인가에 따른 저항의 변화를 그것에 비례하는 전압이나 전류의 변화량을 신호검출 회로의 입력으로 사용하는데 이때 공정상의 오차로 인해서 전기적 신호에 잡음성분이 나타나게 된다. 이러한 잡음은 고정패턴잡음을 발생시켜서 적외선 검출회로 전체의 신뢰성에 영향을 주게 되므로 고정패턴잡음의 최소화에 관한 연구가 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 고정패턴잡음으로 인한 신호왜곡을 억제하기 위해서 기존의 신호검출 회로의 입력구조를 개선하여 신호검출 회로의 선형성이 향상되었음을 시뮬레이션을 통해서 확인하였다.
트렌치 콜렉터를 가지는 새로운 TIGBT 에 관한 연구

Various power semiconductor devices have been developed and evolved since 1950s. Among them, IGBT is the most developed power semiconductor device which has high breakdown voltage, high current conduction and suitable switching speed which perform trade-offs between each other. In other words, there are trade-offs between a breakdown voltage and on-state voltage drop, and between on-state voltage drop and turn-off time. In this paper, the new structure is proposed to improve a trade-off between a breakdown voltage and on-state voltage drop. The proposed structure has a trench collector and this trench collector induces an accumulation layer at the bottom of an n-drift region during off-state. And this accumulation layer prevents expansion of depletion layer so that trapezoidal electric field distribution is performed in the n-drift region. As a result of this, breakdown voltage is increased without increasing on-state voltage drop. The electrical characteristics of the proposed IGBT is analyzed and optimized by using representative device simulator, TSUPREM4 and MEDICI. After optimization, the electrical characteristics of the proposed IGBT is compared with NPT IGBT which have the same device thickness. As a result of this, it can be confirmed that the proposed structure increases the breakdown voltage of 800 V than that of the conventional NPT IGBT without increasing the on-state voltage drop.
이중 이온주입 공정을 이용한 트렌치 필드링 설계 최적화 및 전기적 특성에 관한 연구

The dual ion-implantation trench edge termination techniques were investigated and optimized using a two-dimensional device simulator. By trenching the field ring site which would be dual implanted, a better blocking capability can be obtained. The results show that the p-n junction with dual implanted junction field-ring can accomplish nearly 20% increase of breakdown voltage in comparison with the conventional trench field-rings. The fabrication is relatively difficult. But the trench etched field ring with dual ion-implantation is surpassed for breakdown voltage and consume same area and extensive device simulations as well as qualitative analysis confirm these conclusions.

A new current-driving pixel circuit for active-matrix organic light-emitting diodes (AMOLEDs), composed of four organic thin-film transistors (OTFTs) and one capacitor, is proposed using a current scaling method. Designing pixel circuits with OTFTs has many problems due to the instability of the OTFT parameters with still unknown characteristics of the material. Despite the problems in using OTFTs to drive the pixel circuit, our work could be set as a goal for future OTFT development. The simulation results show enhanced linearity between input data and OLED luminescence at low current levels as well as successfully compensating the variation of the OTFTs, such as the threshold voltage and mobility.

Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome has been described as focal perihepatitis accompanying pelvic inflammatory disease caused by Neisseria gonorrhea and Chlamydia trachomatis. The highest incidence occurs in young, sexually active females. However, the syndrome has been reported to occur infrequently in males, according to the foreign literature. The predominant symptoms are right upper quadrant pain and tenderness, and pleuritic right sided chest pain. The clinical presentation is similar in men and women. In women, the spread of infection to liver capsule is thought to occur directly from infected fallopian tube via the right paracolic gutter. In men, hematogenous and lymphatic spread is thought to be postulated. Recently, we experienced a case of Fitz-Hugh-Curtis syndrome occurred in a man. As far as we know, it is the first report in Korea, and we report a case with a review of the literature. (Korean J Gastroenterol 2010;55:203-207)

Toxic hepatitis has been reported as a major cause of acute hepatitis, but its potential induction by herbal remedies and/or health foods is usually neglected. We experienced a case of toxic hepatitis associated with Polygoni multiflori, a Chinese herb commonly known as Ho-Shou-Wu. A 54-year-old woman consumed Ho-Shou-Wu for 1 month, after which she experienced fatigue and overall weakness. A diagnosis of toxic hepatitis was made based on her clinical history, the findings for viral markers and other laboratory data, and ultrasonography. Her condition improved considerably after she stopped taking Ho-Shou-Wu. However, she resumed taking Ho-Shou-Wu immediately after discharge from hospital, which aggravated her symptoms and liver function. She was immediately readmitted and stopped taking Ho-Shou-Wu. Her relapse into hepatitis immediate after resuming consumption of the herb is strongly indicative of the validity of Koch`s postulate in this case.
