국립중앙도서관 외국자료 개발 방향성 연구

국가도서관은 한 국가의 지식문화유산인 국가장서를 집중적으로 개발·보존하고 제공해야할 책무가 있다. 특히 국립중앙도서관의 사명을 완수하기 위한 4대 목표 가운데 '국가지식자원 접근·보존 기반 고도화'를 이루기 위해서는 외연적 범위를 국내자료뿐 아니라 외국자료로도 확대하여 국가지식자원을 강화할 필요가 있다. 즉, 국내에서 생산되는 최신자료와 소급자료를 최대한 수집·제공·보존하는 기능은 물론이며 외국에서 생산·유통·보존되고 있는 고품질 학술자료 및 한국과 관련된 자료를 가능한 한 많이 수집하여 국가지식정보센터로서의 기능을 수행해야 한다. 본 연구는 선진국 국가도서관의 외국자료 수집 및 서비스 현황을 조사·분석하여 시사점을 도출하였다. 이를 바탕으로 현재 국립중앙도서관의 외국장서 수집수준을 비교·평가한 다음 고품질 학술자료 및 한국 관련 외국자료를 최대한 확보하기 위한 전략을 제시하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. National libraries have a responsibility to intensively develop, preserve, and provide national collections, which are the knowledge and cultural heritage of a country. In particular, in order to achieve 'advancing the base for access and preservation of national knowledge resources' among the four goals to fulfill the mission of the National Library of Korea, it is necessary to strengthen the national knowledge resources by expanding the external scope to not only domestic materials but also foreign materials. In other words, The National Knowledge Information Center collects the latest and retroactive data produced in Korea, as well as high-quality academic materials produced, distributed, and preserved in foreign countries as well as materials related to Korea. This study drew implications by investigating and analyzing the status of foreign collection and services of national libraries in developed countries. Based on this, the purpose of this study is to compare and evaluate the current level of collection of foreign collections of the National Library of Korea, and then present a strategy to secure high-quality academic and foreign materials related to Korea.

도서관 공간에 대한 장애인 이용행태 및 요구 분석

본 연구는 공공도서관의 공간적 기능에 대한 사회적 요구가 증가하는 상황에서 장애인이 실제로 도서관 공간에서 느끼는 경험은 어떤지를 고찰하고, 장애인이 원하는 공간에 대한 요구사항은 무엇인지 규명하고자 하였다. 연구를 위해 도서관 이용경험이 있는 시각 청각 지체 장애인 각 5명씩 총 15명의 피실험자를 선정하여 개별면담을 진행하였다. 연구결과 도서관 공간에서의 장애인 이용자 경험은 장애유형별로 차이가 있었으나 대체로 긍정보다는 부정적인 경험이 더 많은 것으로 조사되었으며, 도서관 직원 및 비장애인의 잘못된 장애인에 대한 인식이 부정적인 경험에 상당한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 도서관 공간에 대한 요구사항에 대해서는 장애유형별로 매우 다양한 의견이 존재하였으며, 장애인과 비장애인의 통합서비스 공간에 대해서는 현재의 도서관 공간수준을 유지할 경우 대체로 부정적인 인식이 많았다. This study identified the experiences that the disabled actually feel in the library space in the face of growing social demands for spatial functions in public libraries. This study also tried to determine the requirements for the space that disabled wanted. For the research, 15 subjects were selected for each of the five people who were blind, deaf, and handicapped with experience using the library and individual in-depth interviews were conducted for the research. The study found that the experience of the disabled in the library space differed by type of disability and generally more negative experiences were found than positive ones. Misperception about the disabled of library staff and the non-disabled were having a significant impact on the disabled's negative experience for library space. There were a wide variety of opinions on the requirements for library space and there were generally negative perceptions about the current level of library space for the Integrated library service space.

공공도서관 노인서비스 공간 구성방안에 대한 연구

This study attempted to find ways to recognize public libraries as social institutions with spatial functions to integrate generations for older adults in the face of Korea's entry into a super-aged society. In particular, the goal of this study is to find out the implications and strategies for the design of libraries and facilities for older adults. And to this end, major guidelines related to senior citizens' service spaces and facilities were analyzed to derive implications for senior citizens' services. In addition, an in-depth interview survey was conducted on elderly users with experience in using library services to identify the priorities of creating spaces and facilities for the elderly. As a result, "Open elderly service space" and "Integrated elderly service space" were proposed as a way to organize the elderly service space in public libraries. 본 연구는 우리나라가 초고령화 사회로의 진입을 앞두는 상황에서 공공도서관이 노인이용자에게 편리한 여가시설이자 세대를 통합하는 공간적 기능을 지닌 사회적 기관으로서 인식되기 위한 방안을 모색하고자 시도되었다. 특히 도서관의 공간 및 시설 설계에 대한 시사점과 전략을 찾기 위한 것이 본 연구의 목표이며, 이를 위해 해외 도서관 노인서비스 공간·시설 관련 주요 지침을 분석하여 관련 시사점을 도출하였다. 또한 도서관 서비스 이용경험이 있는 노인이용자를 대상으로 심층면담 조사를 수행하여 노인을 위한 공간·시설 조성 시의 기준과 우선순위 등을 규명하고, 그 결과 공공도서관이 노인서비스 공간을 구성하기 위한 방안으로서 '개방형 노인서비스 공간'과 '통합형 노인서비스 공간'을 제언하였다.

대학생의 과제해결과정 중 정보적합성 판단에 관한 연구

The purposes of this study are to analyze relevance judgement of college students’ problem solving process and suggest improvements for information literacy education in higher education. The in-depth interviews were conducted with 9 subjects to identify relevance judgement processes and problems. As a result, the main problems during relevance judgement processes were judgement about content of document aligned with subject’s opinion, judgement about reliability of newspaper articles, shortage of relevance judgement time due to deadline of an assignment and judgement of relationship of documents and evaluation result. The recommendations for information literacy education are as follows: objective relevance judgement education, guidance of reliable information source, showing guideline of using reference information by professor and emphasis of engaging in information (4.1 stage of Big 6). 본 연구는 정보활용능력의 여러 영역 중에서 대학생이 과제를 해결하는 상황에서 정보의 적합성을 판단하고 평가해나가는 과정을 심층적으로 분석하고, 중요 문제를 규명함으로써 정보활용교육에 반영할 개선사항을 도출하는데 목적을 두고 있다. 대학생 9명을 대상으로 과제해결과정에서 적합성 판단이 어떻게 이루어지는 지에 대해 심층면담을 통해 분석하였으며, 그 결과 연구참여자의 의견과 부합되는 내용 정보 판단의 어려움, 신문기사의 신뢰성에 대한 판단의 어려움, 과제의 특성상 적합성 판단 시간 확보의 어려움, 적합한 정보원 판단과 과제평가결과 연관의 어려움이 주요 문제로서 분석되었다. 따라서 권장사항으로서 객관적인 적합성 판단기준의 교육, 신뢰성 있는 정보원 안내, 교수자의 참고 정보원 활용 가이드라인 제시, Big 6 4.1단계 교육의 강조 등이 제시되었다.

우리나라 공공도서관 노인서비스 현황과 개선방안에 관한 연구

본 연구는 고령화 사회에서 국내 공공도서관 노인서비스 현황을 파악하여 개선점을 도출하기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 전국의 도시지역 공공도서관을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 수행한 결과 총 172개 도서관이 응답하였다. 연구 결과, 국내 공공도서관은 대체로 노인이용자의 중요성에 대해서 인식하고 있으나, 적극적인 대응에는 한계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 도서관 장서 및 공간/시설에 대해 우선적으로 강화해야 할 영역은 큰활자·음성도서/정기간행물 장서 확충과 높은 서가의 책을 찾기 위해 직원에게 도움 요청이 가능하도록 해야 한다는 점으로 조사되었다. 도서관 서비스/프로그램의 경우 우선적으로 강화해야 할 영역은 사회참여 프로그램과 인문학 프로그램으로 분석되었다. 정보서비스 담당 사서들은 다른 노인서비스 기관과 차별화된 도서관만의 노인서비스를 제공하기 위해서 노인세대의 계층을 세분화하고 보다 전문화된 서비스 및 프로그램을 기획하여야 한다는 의견을 개진하였다. This study was conducted with the aim of identifying the current state and improvements of the public library services for older adult in Korea. According to the online survey of public libraries in urban areas across the country, a total of 172 libraries responded. Research shows that public libraries generally recognize the importance of elderly users, but there are limitations in active efforts. The priority area for library collection and space/facilities was to be strengthened by the expansion of large type and voice books/periodical books, as well as the need to ask librarians for help to find books in high bookshelves. In the case of library services/programs, the areas that need to be strengthened first were analyzed as social participation programs and humanities programs. The librarians in charge of information services expressed their opinions that more specialized services and programs should be planned and subdivided for the elderly generation in order to provide older adults' services unique to other older adults' service institutions.

정보문제 해결능력 형성의 사회심리적 요인에 관한 연구

The holistic approach to the variables that influence people’s information problem-solving abilities is relatively scant compared to the importance of the issue. The purpose of this study is to analyze the socio-psychological factors that have an influence on the information problem-solving abilities of youths, and finally to analyze how these factors influence the information problem-solving abilities of youths. In order to identify the critical socio-psychological factors, related literature was reviewed and the model framework for this research was constructed based on the resulting factors and socio-psychological theories. 정보사회에서 사회 구성원을 주체적인 정보문제 해결능력을 지닌 정보문해자로 만들기 위한 사회적 조건에 대한 문제는 문헌정보학에서 매우 중요한 연구 영역으로 다루어져 왔으나, 각 영향 요인들이 전체적인 관점에서 어떤 관계를 통해 정보문제 해결능력에 영향을 미치고 있는 가에 대한 연구는 미흡하였다. 본 연구는 세상과 자아간의 상호작용을 통해 개인이 경험적인 지식체계를 성립해 나간다는 사회심리학의 이론을 적용하여 전체적인 관점에서 청소년의 정보문제 해결능력에 영향을 미치는 사회심리적 요인이 무엇인지를 밝힌 후 이 요인들이 상호간에 유의미한 관계를 갖는 지 알아보고, 최종적으로 사회심리적 요인이 정보문제 해결능력에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지에 대해 실증적으로 분석하였다.

국회도서관 지방의회 정보서비스 운영방안에 관한 연구

This study was intended to propose a plan for the operation of the local assembly information services as a service for the specialized service of the National Assembly Library’s depository library. To that end, the information services of the national assembly libraries, the local assembly libraries, and the social science libraries were investigated and analyzed. We drew the implications based on the results of the analysis and finally developed the operational strategies such as the strengthening the data sharing system for the local council, the assembly information reply service for local councils and the information literacy program for users. 본 연구는 국회도서관 자료보존관의 특성화 서비스로서 지방의회 정보서비스 운영방안을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국내․외 주요 국가의회도서관, 지방자치단체 의회도서관, 사회과학분야 전문도서관 정보서비스 사례를 조사․분석하였다. 분석결과를 토대로 시사점을 도출하였으며, 최종적으로 지방의회 정보서비스 운영방안으로서 의정자료 공유체제 강화를 통한 자료제공 서비스, 지방의회 대상의 의회정보회답 서비스, 주제별 가이드 및 교육 프로그램 개발을 제안하였다.

교육·연구용 전자출판물 사용경험 정의 및 사용성 평가에 관한 연구

This study aims to define the user experience and to evaluate the usability toward electronic publication for education and research. As research methods, After total 20 people of 10 undergraduate students and 10 graduate students were randomly selected as the subjects, the research was conducted by using the in-depth interview and the e-book reader experimental method. As the results of analysis about subjective preferences in case of using academic resources, The subject relevance and understandability were responded as most important factors for selecting academic resources. And the most frequent purposes for using academic resources were to perform an assignment and to write an article. As the results of analysis about the user experience for using the print media and electronic media, the user experience of the print media is more positive than the electronic media and especially these results were caused by academic situation. Many subjects responded that the electronic media is more inconvenient in case of using academic resources. As a result of the e-book reader usability test, the hardware test score (3.47) is higher than the software test score (3.31). 본 연구는 교육․연구용 전자출판물에 대한 이용자의 현재 사용 경험과 실제 기기를 활용한 사용성을 평가하고, 개선사항을 심층 분석하기 위한 목적을 갖고 있다. 학부생과 대학원생 각 10명씩 총 20명을 임의 선정하고 심층면담 및 전자책 리더기 실험방식을 활용하여 연구를 진행하였다. 피실험자의 학술정보 이용 시 주관적인 선호사항을 분석한 결과 주제성과 이해가능성이 가장 중요한 학술정보 선택시의 고려사항으로 응답되었으며, 학술정보를 활용하는 주요 목표에 대해서 조사한 결과 가장 빈번한 목표는 과제수행, 논문작성 상황으로 조사되었다. 인쇄매체와 전자매체에 대한 사용자 경험을 분석한 결과, 전반적으로 인쇄매체에 대한 사용자 경험이 전자매체에 대한 사용자 경험이 더욱 긍정적이며, 학술정보를 활용하는 상황이기 때문에 전자매체 활용에 대한 부정적인 사용자 경험이 다수 존재하였다. 전자출판물 디바이스 사용성 평가 결과는 전체적으로는 하드웨어 평가(3.47)가 소프트웨어 평가(3.31)보다 높게 나타났다.

독서장애인을 위한 DAISY 서비스 인터페이스 구성에 관한 연구

본 연구는 독서장애인을 위한 DAISY 서비스 인터페이스 구성에 대한 경험적인 권장사항을 밝히기 위한 연구로서 실제 서비스 사례를 기반으로 연구가 진행되었다. 서비스 사례는 LG 상남도서관에서 제공 중인 책읽어주는 도서관 서비스(http://voice.lg.or.kr)를 대상으로 하였다. 연구방법은 웹 서비스를 통해 제공되는 DAISY 플레이어(S/W)의 서비스 인터페이스를 전문가 집단이 평가하고, 평가 결과를 반영하여 신규 DAISY 플레이어를 개발하는 방식으로 진행되었다. 전문가 집단의 현재 인터페이스 평가 결과 신규 인터페이스에 반영해야 할 주요 개선사항이 도출되었으며, 주요 개선사항으로는 스크린리더의 화면 낭독 흐름 고려, 소프트웨어 동작 지연시 오류 인식 방지, 웹 기반 소프트웨어의 개발, 다양한 부가기능의 제공, 단축키 충돌 방지 등이 제시되었다. This research intended to identify empirical recommendations for designing the DAISY service interface and used a case-based method. The case of this research was LG Digital Talking Book Library(http://voice.lg.or.kr) of LG Sangnam Library. A group of experts evaluated the current DAISY interface serviced by the web. After evaluation, major recommendations were suggested and these recommendations were used to develop the new DAISY Interface. Major recommendations were consideration of the reading flow of the screen-reader program, prevention of perception as an error about the time delay, development of web-based software, support for convenient functions and prevention of shortcut key overlap and so on.

디지털 정보활용교육 운영실태 및 개선방안 연구

디지털시대에 적합한 정보활용능력 교육을 기획하여 실시하는 것은 현대 도서관의 핵심기능이다. 따라서 본 연구는 국립중앙도서관 및 국내의 유관 기관에서 이루어지는 디지털 정보활용능력 교육현황을 분석하고 이와 동시에 대국민 서비스의 지역 거점인 공공도서관의 의견을 조사하여 향후 개선방안을 제언하고자 하였다. 연구결과 특히 공공도서관의 정보활용교육 담당자를 대상으로 한 조사에서 향후 정보활용교육에 대한 관심은 높지만, 시설 및 예산 등 필요자원의 부족으로 인해 국립중앙도서관과 같은 국가도서관과의 연계 협력이 절실한 것으로 드러났다. 본 연구는 조사결과를 토대로 국립중앙도서관 교육프로그램의 개선방안과 함께 공공도서관과의 연계방안을 제안하였다. This study aims to investigate the current state of digital literacy education in Korean public libraries and suggest improvements. The education programs were analyzed, which are offered in the National Library of Korea and related social and educational institutions, in order to explore the digital literacy education program required for public libraries. An interview was conducted with 38 librarians of the regional central libraries. Respondents reported that a cooperative program for digital literacy education with national library is essential, due to the lack of the budget and digital literacy resources. Based on the analysis, a model of the National Digital Library Information Literacy Education and the cooperative programs for digital literacy education were proposed.
